Really nice work! Those harnesses are impressive, too bad there is so much extra, but I get why there is. @Tuomo said it first but I thought the same thing, put a small notch in the bottom of the carbon for each one of the fuse and relay harnesses. That will force them to stay in a specific position but not require cable management on the front of the panel. Will there be enough room behind the dash for that panel to be perpendicular to the floor, should it be at an angle?
Just search for K&R Super Duty Complete Wiring Kit. Its a package deal that we used on this car... Another alternative is the Leash Street/Strip Relay Board...
This car just didn’t have enough gadgets and extras to justify it. Really the only relays we are using on the board is starter and water pump. Smartwire is little overkill for that 😂
@@StreetCarJoe I gotcha! Are you going to have any openings available to wire my single turbo Mustang in the near future? :) I have a Dominator, everything is installed in the car, Dash, ECU, all sensors and grounds are done. It's getting a bit too technical for me and of course I really want it done right the first time! I plan on using the RacePak Smartwire. BTW where are you located?
Hey Joe, love the channel. I was always told to never break, or switch, the alternator charge wire to the battery because it’s bad for the alternator. Have you heard this?
Just don’t felt like we had a need in this build. Only using a couple of relays from the relay board. It’s a pretty straight forward build. Smartwire seems overkill to hit a starter and turn on a single pump...
I am getting that impression pretty quick. Among other benefits from the fueltech... but the Holley has some pros as well. Maybe when I’m all done I’ll do a comparison video...
@@StreetCarJoe I agree. I like some things about the fueltech that Holley should adapt like being able to test output functions to trouble shoot things, and traction control and etc built in. I like Holley as well in I’ve probably installed 7 Holley to every fueltech. But I’m thinking about putting fueltech on my turbo truck
Your videos are very helpful thank you! I'm trying to wire a FR550 on the smart coils it shows to use the yellow #1/RPM activate to the 2 relays for each cool bank do I use that one wire to each coil?
So with co2 boost valves when you used pwm neg outputs to control dome pressure Do those pwm neg wires go strait to dome co2 valves Or do you use a solid state relay between terminator and valves like trans brake does
So for the boost controller and the solenoids, I do not have a solid state relay. Goes directly from the output to the solenoids. I do use solid state relay for the trans brake and any trans dump valves...
Adels, that's what I would use to attach the relay wires to the carbon board! Love the channel Joe! Since you have your own channel now, I guess I can delete Dave! 😂 jkjk
I’m wanting to use a bulkhead connector but not sure on the shielded wire going threw the connector. I’ve read mixed answers on doing it and not doing it. How would you recommend doing it?
So I got a ft550 I have a few a question's it's going on a honda b series 4 cylinder. Do I NEED relay for coils and injectors? I also want to use 2nd set of injectors so would I need 2 relays? Also the yellow wires from the b connector I got the engine starter fuel pump fan and the vtec.... am I right in assuming blue wire can't do that due to load?
You will need relays for the coil and injectors. Depending on how much power the coils take, you may be able to get by with one relay for both. You can run all 16x injectors off of one relay.
@@StreetCarJoe I'll use 1 for each, u got Instagram? I may need to reach out to you, iv separated and tagged all the wires just a couple little things I'll need clarification on if that's ok?
Beautiful job man. Hate seeing the fuel tech tho. What they did with stealing billet atomizer design was real shitty. I hope Jack puts a hurting on them in court
Is it just me or are one of the drive belts on the front of that engine loose? Looks like there is a lot of slack in it. It's been bothering my OCD every time you show this car
My favorite f***ing channel!
The more I watch your vids, the more I gain faith in restoring/upgrading my notch.

Right I’m stuck on selling my vert or take a break and then I see joe video then I’m like ok I want to drive summer😩😩🙏🏽
Congrats on the first "ON". Its always nice to see the panels light up and NOT smoke ;)

With this guys knowledge and craftsmanship, if he's not already he'll be a millionaire one day!

Really enjoying this playlist and learning things along the way, thanks! Subbed
I'm not far off from wiring my GT and this is reducing my anxiety about that part of the build tremendously. Thanks again!
Thanks! Good luck with the build!
@@StreetCarJoe Thank you very much
Man....you sure know your stuff! Makes me think I should bring you my car when the time comes.
Getting closer to that startup video!
So so close...
Definitely love how he keeps things in mind when doing this and makes it functional and good looking
Great seeing someone with so much talent:)

Another great video Joe !
Thank you for the ideas you show.really helps.
Another awesome video SCJ !!!
Thanks!!!
Makes me glad I have OCD...,Thanks Joe...

Awesome video and explanations. Dave says no more changes but he should hire you to rewire his this next off season.
🤣
Great video Joe👍
Thanks
Absolutely beautiful 👍
Another top video look forward to the next one 👍🏻 🇦🇺
Thanks!
Awesome content Joe! I will be referring back to these wiring videos many times I’m sure as I tackle my car 👍🏼👍🏼
Thanks! Sounds good 😎
Making some great progress on the wiring! 👌🦾🏁🇺🇸
Thanks!
Hello Joe!
That looks really nice and clean. Looks very time consuming haha.
Heck yeah man! Love the content.
Thanks!
I just installed my FuelTech Pro Harness and yes I wished a few were a little longer myself
I am finding that aren’t too long... almost too short in some instances

Hey man! What alternator bracket is that?
asked the same question a couple videos ago with no answere
This is a custom bracket Kurt Urban made at SDPC Raceshop for me.
I thought it was custom but wasn't sure. Thanks for answering!
Soo nice...

hello doe you have part # for the fueltech harness?

wheres the fuse panel from?
My ocd would have kicked in looking at that panel and ended up notching the bottom to keep those wires straight and level with the bottom part 😂
I can definitely say from experience fueltechs wiring harnesses are light years ahead of the Holley harnesses.

I think they serve their purpose. I haven’t been able to justify one on my cars yet. Hopefully a future build I can really dive into one.
@@StreetCarJoe yea I’m thinking about it. No relays or fuses sounds nice.
