The 105g is by far my most played plane, i usually grab a base at the start of the game and then switch to gunpods + missiles, you cant really 1v1 many planes but its best played as a support, using the missiles on people that just dumped their speed or are caught off guard, and then if you get close the guns (once you get used to aiming them) usually get you a guaranteed kill
The SAAB is one of my most favorite planes because of its BR placement, and the amazing 30mm cannons it has.
I love chewing up unsuspecting A-4Es that don’t know what “looking around” is. 🤣

their not terrible, but fall a bit behind the guided ordnance the A4's get and the Nord ATGM
the 1000 pound bombs + ballistic computer is amazing. and the 30mm is quite effective for ground targets too with the ballistic computer
Bit wrong here. The 105G doesn’t get the RB05A, only the SK60B and 105OE gets them (assuming you mean these and not the dumb fire rockets).
(I will say though, since they have a proxy fuse, it’s fun to use them against things like Pe-8’s)
this plane has ccip for bombs and rockets at 8.3, also the sk60 (first one) has basically bullpups at 7.? This thing is a beast when it comes to grb!
sadly the rb05s smokeless motor produce a lot of smoke and its proximity fuze makes it impossible to kill anything that isnt an spaa

Saab 105 or SK 60 is a light attack / Training Aircraft from 1963. Not made for real combat. Just weather flying xD
I love the SAAB-105 in warthunder and real life (i have like 600 games in the 105g ) and i want to buy one in real life so there will be one civilian buyer one day

The swedish air force i gonna retire them very soon! Maybe in the next year or two. I am pretty sure that you can buy one of em from a scrapyard. There is attack SK60's and Trainer SK60's. I think you are more likely to be able to buy a Trainer SK60 one rather than a attack SK60.
@@MrViggie37 I know Austria sold of their trainers a few years ago. don't know if it was just for scrap or if any made it to the civilian market.

@@Jerrycanooo If I have to guess they were probably scrapped. Austria had bought a total of 40 SK60's. If they scrapped all 40 then the most logical reason is because the Swedish air force still uses them so the plane and its parts and its equipment would most likely be classified stuff. The Swedish air force is the last operator and have about 150 SK60's and since they will be fully retired from service soon, I belive that a few of them will end up on the civilian market if the SK60's have its classified stuff removed or the stuff it used becomes declassified. ( I dont know if the SK60 uses classified stuff, I am just guessing a bit since its a military plane and most military planes in service use some sort of classified stuff. )

Maybe you should use the break flaps to get a better turn against other planes
Skill issues, I run the 105 with 1 gun,3 1k bombs, 2 aim9B's. Drop the bombs on a base and climb. Boom and zoom is the name of the game. Always fight to your rides advantages.

That means the plane is bad. If you have to do the same thing each game to get an advantage, like the he 162, that means it not viable In the current meta. What happens if someone else chooses to side climb too? Most jets at that br have much better climb rate. They will catch you mid climb. It doesn't matter if they are slow either, because I heard the 105 is even more of a brick at low speeds. Your forced to use flaps if you want to even turn with someone, thus making you bleed more energy until your nearly stalling out and extremely vulnerable. Please elaborate.
Also, you can't say it's a skill issue, you mustn't have watched to the end of the video, because he clearly states at the end of the video along the lines of "If your experienced, you can make it work"
bro this plane is really good after all it gets airspawn and turn good if you use flaps and btw ist only an attack aircraft so it does well in ground RB
issue is the flaps rip at a very low speed, and being slow in this thing is not great., but it can some what compete in a turn if going slow yes.

its funny how the austrian variant has been since made more or less obsolete. with the introduction of custom loadouts
it used to be that only the ÖE was able carry both missilies and flares. however the techtree ones can do it too now.
so the only thing the ÖE has is its premium status
Low and fast with drag bombs in GRB make the 105G a menace and the SK60 missiles eat strategic bombers from 8km away lol.
You turn better off you’re slower too btw. This jet is my main and she EATS.

I loved the 105G its fairly fast on its BR, it turns fairly well, worse than dedicated fighters, but still good. And it can carry full base destroy bomb load. Its amazing grinder.
Normally i play the saab105 for ground pounding, but when i want to play both air to ground and air to air, i grab the two gun pods and two rb24 missiles. The trick with this jet is going for heads on to kill and you if you do tight turns with airbrakes, you can make a enemy overshoot😂

Can’t remember if it’s the SAAB-105G or the SK60B, but one of the 2 has a bomb computer and is amazing at ground with a 8.3 lineup
the 105 has CCIP, its decent for ground attack. Just meant that it wasn't anything too write home about. 😊

i just bomb base with the saab 105G because it gets a lovely bomb load and i usually go wiht 4x1000lbs and 2x 500lbs and its enough to get a base and 1.5tons of explosives

Idk man. I mained the 105g and the sk60 to grind out rank 5 and 6 and I had tons of good matches with it. The engine and the stealth ammo sucks a bit but you can get used to it.

Hm strange you mention bad manoeuvrability yet maybe it's the gunpods weight? As I jokingly call it the perfect modern WT rodeo clown for flying through dogfights.
Technically the SK 60 is more of a SAAB 105 then the other way as it's the designation of the trainer variant, Either way all three are fun aircraft and good light attackers, I ground out most of the next rank purely with the SAAB 105G with it's 4× 1000lb, 2× AIM-9B loadout.
yeah, if my memory servers me right the SAAB 105 is the military designation of the aircraft while the SK60 was reserved for the liaison variant and the trainer.
Idk i do have fun in this plane, most of the time no such issues at all .w.

This is my favourite Swedish plane. And I know, who USE it as fighter, are very "silly"... (To be acceptable for youtube :D) This plane BAD for fighting.... I dont know why you think this is a fighter... I love this plane becouse of Bomb running! I really know this is bad for fighting, but bombing with airspawn is the best! and if you add 2x RB24 next to the 4x1000lb bombs, then its pretty fun! I almost grinded the whole Rank 5 and 6 with this vehicle, becouse it was that good! Idk why you use it as fighter role, when in WT, its ground attacker, So no brainer the bomb running.
most people use most aircraft that ain't bombers as fighters I have found. so I decided to look at the plane from that point of view. but yes it can most definitely be effective as a bomber albeit a bit on the slow side.
It can also still be effective as a fighter if played correctly. most of my games in this plane was 3 kill games after all. :)
@@Jerrycanooo I usually go with 900 km/h, and I think its a good speed for this BR with full of bombs. It could be good, but as I said, bombing, and after launch the 2 missile on someones, is the best scenario. That usually more faster is only in Uptier, the S.O.4050 Vautour

Made for suffering,but if used absolutely correctly,it will be amazing,don’t except much from your 10g missiles, it can’t even hit a AI plane for me bruh,basically luck. Gaijin should really lower the br to 7.7 because you literally have no chance except dying uptiers, you basically can’t fight anything likely F104 or G91 except they are dumb enough to go head on with you, but the CCIP for guns sometimes helpful
I disagree with the turning comment, when the 105G didn't have guns and missiles at once i LOVED out turning fighters in a spiral climb and then using my aim9b on thier stalled out plane

@Jerrycanooo I saw, you see all you need to do is lose one gun pod, drop flaps, and have no missiles then you can graduate to having a turning circle that's slightly better then some battleships
So basically you are wrong in many way and i am just 1:09 in the video it was never intended to be a fighter, it's training aircraft and light ground attacker
And the rest could be an skill issue on your part tbh
SAAB made the SAAB 105 as a private venture and it was indented for both the military and civilian market, a 4 - 5 seat business jet. It was also made to fill a multirole aircraft(ground attack, Aerial reconnaissance and a Jet trainer ) position and to could fulfill the role as interceptor to some extent.
