What a guy! I still Love _Paul McCartney_ !!! I cant believe how talented he is. Well..I knew he was super talented but, all this... Wow! I kind of write songs like him. I love to hear about his process. Irrespective of the success of the song/movie, his work touches on universal human emotions and experiences. Their timeless quality outlasts all fashions.
My favourite McCartney song since 2000. It was never going to be a chart buster but it is a delightful song. It was funny hanging on to the moon heading into the sun. What a great lyric.
I don't think he counted on this song being a chart buster. If you listen to the radio now a days, Theres no Paul Mccartney or anyone from his Era! It's all horrible top 40 Garbage! LOL. I listen to and Oldies Station in Long Island. Its great, They play 60s-80's, although I kind like 50's as well. But I'll turn on the radio and "_Day Tripper_ " would be on, Or " _My Sweet Lord_ ", " _Band on the Run_ ", " _Imagine_ ", " _Back off Boogaloo_ ".. They play great stuff like this. Without a doubt, if Paul released " _I Want to Come Home_ " in the 1970's.. with Linda singing backup, *BAM* ... a # 1 song! 🚶🏽♂️🚶🏽♂️🚶🏽♀️🚶🏽♂️
Yes, great lyric. But I think it's "It was *fun* hanging on to the moon..." Very minor difference of two letters, but quite a difference in meaning, really.
This movie crushed me when I saw it. Partly because I wasn't in a great place when I saw it, but also because it's very moving and relatable about loss and the importance of family. So neat to hear about the music. Had no idea Paul was involved.
