Man's probably used all his will power to stop going down on himself Used all his life force to ban her after he secretly downloaded the clip or saved it or something
You say that as a joke but this might honestly be the case. Notice how male streamers keep getting unfairly banned for things like “breaking a keyboard” and “taking a shirt off” but then females can show their no-no zone just get a slap on the wrist.
Let's be honest, the Twitch employees just like watching girls having sex. When they added the pools section that should've been obvious enough, but these guys probably keep the offending vods and hope the girl "accidentally" does more by never perma banning them. It can't even be a sex sells thing when the sex in question isn't bringing in money, it's solely because the unprofessionals at Twitch personally enjoy it.
I’m not defending Twitch because I think you’re right, but the idea of the pool category itself was so that their advertisers aren’t upset over their ad being shown on a hot tub stream. The category only gets 18+ category ads, which is why the fad died so hard, since you can’t make the most amount of money possible if you can’t run all kinds of ads.
I am convinced that whoever at Twitch is in charge of making these decisions are the most sex-deprived simps ever. The discrepancy between male and female streamer punishments has been a problem for years.
The "we're doing it bc gamers are too harsh on girl content creators" is silly too bc due to this biases people are even harsher on girls in the platform, biases lead to resentment, even if they are just normal girls making normal content. Not justifying the ppl who harass them btw.
The fact that Twitch would literally permanently ban a Twitch streamer for getting robbery on a live stream yet Twitch would only give a 7-days ban to the woman who was getting it on and broke the rules of Twitch on the stream. It's truly baffling.

Reminds me of the list that got leaked of “unbannable channels” on Twitch that protected their biggest moneymakers, except this time it doesn’t even have an explanation because money clearly wasn’t the factor.
I was banned from twitch in 2017 for making a joke about how pink sparkles sits. It took 5 years for me to get unbanned and when I came back I just lost all of my energy to want to stream. Unfair bans like this never get brought to light I'm glad people are shiny a spot light on the situation. Just try being banned for 5 years over a clearly satirical joke.

I don't even seek to dare build a audience on these two platforms after hearing of the woe's many i watched express things for so long but mostly i'm lazy as shit. Sad jokes can lead to one being ran off platforms as many just can comprehend satire (cue dave dave chapelle here) to just don't wannt seek the context it sucks.
That's one of the weirdest I have heard. And let's not forget that people streamed copyrighted material (anime, etc.) and only got 2 days bans, while most people who do that get permabanned. Of course twitch isn't going to kill their money cows, but it's just ridiculous how they don't get any real punishment for things that are permanent for others.
The people, who decide on bands at Twitch, are some of the most emotionally driven people on earth. Who cares about things like "fairness" and "consistency", when you can just have a knee-jerk reaction and just throw in some good ol' favoritism as well? You've seen the Twitch mods, you know what I am talking about.
Well, I assume this is where the company name came from. The name Twitch explains how exactly they hand out bans and enforce their rules on the platform.
The most simple and seemingly logical answer as to why they are like this is probably just that there are workers there that are just massive simps. Twitch seems to bend over backwards to please some female streamers even if they are actively trying to drive traffic away from the site. Them relaxing their clothing policies to the point that they eventually added a category for hot tub streaming should be really telling for a lot of people.

sounds like they need to publish a system of punishment, where the rules and consequences are clearly set in stone for anyone to reference; and if a certain case's repercussion is potentially unjust, someone could appeal to make them reconsider whether or not the punishment is warranted. also they just need to get different people working there

The problem is the staff at Twitch, one thing I've learned from running a Minecraft server is that controlling moderators without corruption is nigh impossible. Well I hope it's possible, but damn it's hard to control policemen.
The American justice system has statue of limitations on times for each crime. Min/max depending on judge. Twitch should adopt a similar policy where they have a clear minimum and maximum ban time for any offense. Otherwise they could be seen as having a unfair trial where the judge or moderator in said question could use his abuse of power to do whatever he wants.

What you call "semantics" are actually of vital importance. The headline "Twitch Streamer Banned for uploading pornography" sounds a lot worse than the reality; she was suspended a week.
Language and objective reality matter a great deal. These "semantics" can easily be used to make something sound worse/better than it actually is.
Tbf, tempban has been a term in video game culture since the first online games, so it makes sense to call it a ban when that's what the type of people using the platform have been calling it before the platform even was created.

sounds like they need to publish a system of punishment, where the rules and consequences are clearly set in stone for anyone to reference; and if a certain case's repercussion is potentially unjust, someone could appeal to make them reconsider whether or not the punishment is warranted. also they just need to get different people working there
