Here I'd like to take the chance to say a BIG thank you to all of you - right before publishing this video we reached the 2000 subs on this channel - also literally on my birthday 🎉 Your support is the best gift for me! Thank you all! Also it wouldn't be me if there were no copy-paste issues. :D In the Pros&Cons section: it's a plastic keyboard, not a full alu! Sorry for the mistake.
Thanks for the video. Are the flamingo switches considered tactile or linear? Would going with the Wisteria switches and the meow sushi caps give a deeper more thocky sound?
@@thoccnology Hey Thoccy! Thanks for the awesome video! Just wondering how is the Gateron Yellow compares to the Wisteria linear and Flamingo? I prefer the thockier one, could not decide which switch should I choos.
@@Tarrey4Me Hi! ^^ I only have Gateron Milky Yellows, but the non-Milky is supposed to be very similar to that. So based on this, I'd say the Yellow are the deepest sounding of them all. Regarding type feel and sound the Flamingo is smooth, high-pitched and clacky/poppy. The Wisteria is somewhere between them, probably closer to the Yellows.
I have this keyboard and I'm not sure I understand what type of keycaps are compatible with it. Do you know which ones are? Thank you for your help! :)
The main thing you have to look for when buying a keycap set is that it has to be 'MX-style' or 'MX-compatibe' that means that in the bottom of the keycaps you will see a little X :) That is what can sit on the switches. Almost every kind of keycap sets are like that, so no worries! :)
Hey thocc, congrats on your 2k subs! since you do some switch reviews from time to time, i was wondering if you should change your testing platform to the tint60 but without foams, except the bottom one to prevent shorting. I think that should help accentuate the differences between different switches than the m1 since its an inherently clacky and pingy board without foams. And as for a secondary board for those without alu, I dont think anything can beat the gmk67 in a popularity contest. Maybe you should try out your tint60 without foams that way with different switches. Thank you again for all the amazing content you make in between your busy life 👍
Yeah, it's a good approach - I sometimes wonder about switching to a different board. But the main reason that kept me from changing is that this way all the switch tests can be compared to each other. Also the Monsgeek M1 is a very popular keyboard with a worldwide in-stock access, and which is used by many hobbyists so I feel it'd serve as a perfect comparison for many. The closest I got regarding the change was a Zoom75 (which just arrived this week to me), but it might be too pricey and is also 'just' a GB keyboard after all.. :/ Dunno, it's definitely a tough decision!
@thoccnology, I loved this review SOO MUCH I got this exact setup (rt100 flamingo switches with same keycaps, and im glad to say that it doesnt disappoint
These keycaps are growing on me haha. They always sound so good. I’m actually impressed with this keyboard too. Stocked sounds good wasn’t expecting that. Also, Happy Birthday, I hope you have a great one 🥳 💕
Hi! Almost any keycaps sets are compatible. Only very, VERY old keyboard (and not mechanical ones) are not compatible with modern keycaps sets. But if you're unsure, check for the phrase 'MX-compatible' or something similar in the descriptions. :) (Wisteria switches are MX-style switches, hence the compatibility)
Silent switches are almost mushier than standard switches (due to their silencing mechanism). I'd say Flamingo and Wisteria are quite similar, but the Flamingo is clackier due to its top case material
@@thoccnology I’m torn between getting a linear or tactile keyboard ahaha, I really love the rt100 design but the options here don’t include tactile I never had a premium gaming keyboard, only a membrane havit keyboard so I’m not sure if linear is the right call, I enjoy typing too so the keyboard must be fun to type on not just game on.
@@MagnaShadoww Oh, they offer a Tactile version from the Wisteria too! I was also a tactile fan, until I got to try and get used to linears. Now I prefer linear and use them 90% of the time. But heard people who can't get used to it, so it really depends on the person. If you think, buy a tactile keyboard and buy an extra box (30-45pcs) of switches and replace only the alpha/letter keys. That way you can safely test the linears :)
@@thoccnology I think linear it is then! And if I don’t like them I’d just get some tactile Switches in the future Ig Thank you so much for helping ♥️✨

What a video, excellent in all ways, thanks for the review!
Thank you for your comment! ^^
REMEMBER! flamingo switch case will cover the LED and tint light to flamingo - SO - ALL COLORS shifted and NO WHITE. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Great video.👌

They're linears! Yes, the Wisteria is more thocky, and the MOA Meow Sushi keycap help the thockiness even more! :)

I was curious about epomaker’s performance, so thank you for posting. I want a review of the recently popular monsgeek m3w and monka 6102!!
I'll try to get my hands on some of them, thank you for the tip! ^^

@@thoccnology thank you so much c;
CPU meter not working for me even did the sync and ran EPOM Maker as Administrator. Everything else works perfectly. Running Windows 10 Pro.
I have that keycaps, so the sound will turn out creamy right?
Yes, MOA generally helps with creating a creamier sound.
Heard that sea salt are too mushy and I really can't decide between Flamingo & Wisteria (linear) switches!

I just ordered this keyboard but with wisteria linear switches… ❤
That's a great combination too!
Wisteria switches are tactile
Any reason choosing the flamingos over the sea salt silent? Is it mushy?
Yeah.. I can only tolerate a couple of silent switches.
I prefer standard linears. :)
Which one is quieter wisteria linear switches or this ?
The Wisteria is quieter, but if you want the most silent, go for the Sea Salt switches
Is this the equivalent of red switches?
@@harrisonwell1719 Yes, they are linear switches, just like the standard Red switches!
oh no that latancy, i really wanted the rt100 tilol know but to go from 1ms wired/ 3.5ms 2.5ghz to 6sm/15ms is a no go :(
I agree, if you have a 1ms keyboard already, there are only a few potential keyboards that are at least on par with that.
Can u make zuoya lmk81 review?
After reasearching the LMK81 I think they are 99% identical (only the backplate is different) to the Cidoo V75 (which I've reviewed recently)
i wish these kcaps were available in french iso :(
Yeah, ISO is a very abandoned territory :/
hi, i just saw their website thez are now available!
Nice keycspd
Thank you ^^
