Did this to mine and did the edges came out super clean, put toothpicks in the holes while I painted and it worked as planned. Went to Walmart yesterday while wearing them and got beat up for being "Fakes".

Great tutorial! Excellent work, and thank you for detailing everything you used, right down to the paint brushes. Question though - now that it's been a couple months - how have they withstood wearing them around? Do you notice any chipping or cracking in the toe box area? Jordan 1's are notorious anyways for doing that. Or maybe even after painting they show creases less? That would be nice 🙂 Edit: Just saw your update video wearing them for a full day, where you answered all my questions lol. If you have any further info since then would be great to konw.

Nice custom, I would be interested to see how the paint holds up a accross the toe box. I recently did a custom on some jordan 1 highs and found after a week of wear the paint cracked. I think the flat white paint and the matt finish tends to increase the chances of cracking and the time between applying coats of paint seems to be a factor.
You need to make a video on what to do with your Jordans when you first get them. Do I primer them and then put on some stain and rain repellent first? Do I put in the sneaker shields first?
depends on the material on what i do with them when i get them, i always put the sneaker shields in them before i wear them. on the Jordan's with suede/nubuck type material i do recommend spraying them with water & stain repellent.
I wonder how the paint will hold. I feel like it’ll flake off after wearing the shoes a few times. A follow up video to show the wear and tear would be great.

i sprayed 2 light coats of the matte finish, i did them at the same time with no waiting in between coats. i did tape off the mid sole and tucked the tongue into the toe box 2 keep the matte finish from getting of them.

I just painted Air Force 1s and my biggest mistake was trying to use regular acrylic first. It peeled off like nothing even after using acetone to remove it. I would say, just go for the angelus paints. They work like magic on leather.
Trenz- just did the custom today exactly like you with gray + 6 coats of white- is yer white in toe box as bright white as the rest of the shoe? (to match). I'm probably critical on myself and I haven't sprayed yet and may do another coat tomorrow - any suggestions?

yeah i only used the heat gun on the grey coat because i didn't want it 2 still be wet when i started 2 apply the white coats.

thank you, minimal wait time in between the white coats. i did let it sit for a few hours before spraying the matte finish.
