Wayyyyy back in the day, a kid i went to school with, hus brother worked at Chicago stadium when Jordan first started playing. He was an original Jordan fanboy. Shoes, wrist bands, pants. Everything you could buy in the mid 80s. One day his brother broght him home a pair the Michael Jordan had signed for him. Last i actually SAW those shoes was circa 1987 maybe....i wonder where they are now.
I am speechless! Nice job! You totally brought an original pair of Jordan 1 back to life!! I was 15 years old when these were released and wished ( like others) that I had kept mine .
That is really cool, I have some old obscure running shoes from the 70's and this has inspired me to attempt a new hobbie seeing as my old shoes are like wearing ice skates as is.

Great job! This is the first I’ve seen a sneaker broken down and worked on like that. I think it’s a great enhancement, but, does replacing the original sole devalue the sneaker?
it does of course! but it's impossible to use as they're 30 year old shoes, sole will start to crumble and destroy itself. doing this process makes it wearable and usable, and probably a amazing decoration too. as you said, it devalues too, you choose!
Maybe not, but it is a believable find... literally a pair of shoes, if you told me a 1980s pair of nikes were worth up to 30k a week ago I would be hella surprised.
