    Worked on this over the weekend. Followed his directions and I have to say the color came out 100% spot on! Only difference I made was i started by putting down a thin thin layer of gray like a primer over the white leather so that the deeper red would coat better than on the white. But these directions are right on point. Now sure how you came up with this mixture but thank you!

    You still happy with 70/30, or wish you'd gone 75/25 or 80/20? I've been tracking this custom process for a bit and seen a bunch of people throwing different opinions. They def look great - just curious if you've had any more hindsight revelations.

    • @MensFashionFiles
      @MensFashionFiles  3 роки тому +7

      Great question, honestly I would stick with the 70/30 ratio. You can experiment on a piece of paper with different ratios and see which one you like the most but 70/30 is so identical already that it's very hard to tell. My only recommendation is to get some Krylon matte finish because even with the acrylic matte finish, mines still came out a little bit too glossy. Hope this helps and good luck!

    • @MensFashionFiles
      @MensFashionFiles  3 роки тому +2

      appreciate it! When you brush, it helps to keep your brush strokes consistent, i.e.. if you chose to paint left to right, don't all of sudden change and paint up to down. I also noticed that the more layers you paint, the less noticeable your strokes are going to be. Hope this helps and good luck with your mids! Trust me, If i can do it, you can def do it.
