Love how he calls the virtuosos the “virchy hosos”
❤💀❤
Vurchi oh so
Before you buy the virtuoso (to anyone thinking of buying it)
i have had this headset for 3 months now and this is what I experienced and learned.
The virtuoso can use aux and usb/wireless at the same time (you can listen and respond to calls from your phone over the aux while playing and talking in game).
When the virtuoso is powered off and you are using the aux cable , there is no audio cancellation so the mic will pick up the headset audio output if it gets around 50%+ volume.
If you power the headset on this issue will go away.
DO NOT UPDATE THE FIRMWARE , this will cause more issues than it fixes in my experience (it caused the wireless mode audio glitches and my mic led is constantly red).
Corsair ICUE support for the Virtuoso is like soup , its a mess but it just about works.
You know when you see Virtuoso(1)(1) things are a bit bugged.
The mic on the non SE models is a lot better than the mic on the SE model (yes ik you paying for more metal and less mic).
it is very durable and doesn't stand out despite feeling nice and premium so you can use it on the bus (it doesnt stand out unless you are using the SE model)(my point is it looks normal unlike the void pro).
The mic led cannot be set to change with cpu temp or battery percentage like the void pros, despite the mic led having full rgb.
It will only ever be green or red (such a waste) depending on whether or not you are muted.
The mic is output is soft so expect to be ignored unless you turn your input volume to 200% (unless you are a loud person then it is perfect).
OK this is a weird one, the wireless dongle of the virtuoso must be kept cool in operation (or the audio glitches will start)
so if you are using a laptop and you plug it in near the air exhaust (especially in a gaming laptop since its quite warm) the audio glitches will start
in other words when my dongle gets warm the wireless mode turns into an audio glitch fest (yes i have tested it , this is actually what happens).
I had to modify the dongle and leverage the airflow of my laptop to cool the dongle or it will just glitch after 20min of usage.
It has really nice audio and clarity (in both wired and wireless) but the wireless mode has random glitches that you will hate.
Despite all that it is still a nice headset. I just wish corsair would invest more into the software of this device than the marketing because the software is the only thing that sucks about it.
(they dont give source code or a firmware downgrade option so its not like you can fix the issues yourself either)(thank you corsair for being almost great).
I would like to know why the wireless dongle has to be as big as a full size 8G usb stick from 2010.
its nice for small ears (like mine)
Its nice and compact (in my opinion)
well that was quite the comment, uhm nice vid (especially the random afrikaans there in the middle)
Hey, thank you for your review :) I'm considering buying this headset - but I'm not sure if it'll be a right choice since I want to use them for listening to music apart from gaming/chatting. I saw some people share their eq settings that apparently makes the music sound good - could you confirm that it really makes them sound better for music? Also if I download iCue now then should I expect those bugs you mentioned?
Wow this was acctully helpful lol thank you
So don’t buy it is what ur saying?
@@Wawasjohn yes
Another Corsair virtuoso buyer here. Mine is SE too. Audio is really good....unless you are a bass heavy person. The bass is audible and distinc, but it is not Boomy, you wont feel it but you will hear it. All other frequencies are super good too. To be a headset it is fairly good on sound. As he said the balance in sound is good.
But hear me out, if you are a bass person first you will not enjoy it.
If you like balanced audio that responds on high frequencies you will love it.
The only reason I picked the void is because of the low clamping force I can literally sit with it all day and it will still feel good
The mic quality isnt the best tho
@@diorpeep1883 yeah but my friends has no problem hearing me and i am not using it to stream so it doesn't really matter
@@diorpeep1883 and he could buy a separate mic
i picked it because it was meant to be comfy and would fit in my setup theme and plus rgb is pretty bad ass and i can also say to those looking to this build is strong with metal theres a red led to say mic is mute and it is very comfy
how does it sounds compare to general headphones such hyperx or g pro ?
I wish the Void got a refresh with bluetooth, slipstream and USB type C.
I had the OneOdio H70 and the Razor BlackShark but I found a Corsair Void Elite on clearance at Walmart for $20. I just wanted to say I'm impressed by them, I don't own a top priced headset but the Corsair Void Elite is very nice, can't really imagine it getting a lot better but I've never heard the high priced one's so it might be that much better, I simply don't have the Experience to say. Great Video, thanks
I had the HS70 and loved it, but wanted to try the Virtuoso. I returned the Virtuoso after 24hrs of use. It want worth the price. I immediately went back to my HS70s
Tim Dale why?
Didn’t think they were worth the price. The HS70s just sounded better to me. The Virtuoso just sounded flat with music and the same as the HS70 while gaming.
Tim Dale thanks this helps a lot, I really need a new pair so I will probably get the hs270 now
If you don’t mind wired headsets, the Fnatic React headset is very good value for money. There are loads of UA-cam reviews for them.
The Virtuoso is 1/2 to 2x more expensive than the HS70.
You get a more premium design, RGB and comfort*
I want the Virtuoso because of the looks mainly. I just bought the HS70 earlier when the price was right.
There's a balance between performance and price, which the Virtuoso doesn't offer much.
Running the Void Elites and frikken love them :P Loving the more natural style bud keep it up :)
This was super helpful in decided what I wanted. Thank you!!
What i learned so far from personal experience. The Corsair Virtuoso SE is being reviewed as some good headphones, yet my personal experience says it's crap.
I bought a corsair virtuoso se the other day and tested it myself. Build quality is very good, but that's it then. It produces a painful pressure on the top of my head. it's surround sound (7.1 option) is bad. icue software is kinda strange, no option to turn of rgb besides setting the color of rgb to black...
overall, the thing that killed the headset for me was it's absolutely bad sound quality, both wireless and wired (usb-c/usb-a). i tried everything, SampleRate, EQ whatever. Still crap.
Seems like ima stick to my good old Logitech G933 for now...
@ragnnohab _ that's something i don't understand too. just yesterday youtube popped up a virtuoso review for me and it was like always, "super duper very good soundquality". i can't take those people serious anymore.
i preferred the sound of the hs70 microphone in your video. it had much more presence than both the others and was by far the loudest of the 3.
3:09 I'm watching this video to see the difference between the Void Elite and the HS70 Pro, because my current HS70 is breaking exactly there. I've probably gone through fifteen or so $50 plus headsets in 20 years, Hyper X Cloud lasted about 3 years, but they all seem to break around the 2 year mark, or in the cheaper model's cases, much sooner. I know I'm more rough than the average user, so take that into consideration. I've stood up and nearly ripped apart more than one headset by walking away, forgetting it was plugged in.
FYI, the Elite's are on sale at Best Buy this Black Friday for $79.99, probably gonna go with those.
have a HS70. its a solid headphone but the earpads only last for a year until it starts to wear off. if you are sweaty guy then it will worn off quicker. i ended up replacing the earpads with more durable pads made from hemp.
replacing the pad is quite challenging but doable
Are yours HS70 or HS70 pro if I might ask?
Love my CORSAIR, after endless problems with numerous pairs of @Razer Nari headphones - with Razer USBs forever going wrong - I’ve had many months perfect use of my @Corsair Virtuoso and love them.
I've seen your comment in different videos lol, or am I trippin'
You are my new favorite tech youtuber because you from SA
I own the Void Elite and personally I find them the most comfortable, I have a smaller head and so I wear it on the smallest setting and farther back on my head
They still slide off very easily but only if I'm leaning forward, otherwise they sit quite nicely
I prefer that they don't apply as much pressure
Otherwise I am absolutely loving them
Also prefer the mic over the mic style of the other headsets as I feel as tough it's way more sturdy and will take a lot of effort to break or damage
for smaller heads i would recommend the hs70 over the void when it comes to comfort bcuz of the clamping force
Yup I have a small head and I have voids and the bottom half of the ear cups aren’t on my head
is there any reason why you wouldn't want an analog audio headphone jack? idk why they don't include one on the hs70 or void
Bro do you have any recommendations regarding it? I want both wired+2.4ghz,7.1 surround sound, and decent sound quality atleast for gaming and detachable mic within 70 to 80 dollars. Have you bought anything?
Hello, I've watched all your headphone videos, but I'm undecided. Is there a headphone you can recommend for gaming and broadcasting?
Bro this is truly a brilliant comparison video!
I haven’t picked up any of these yet l, but I personally like the subtle design of the hs70 pros and I think the leather would be comfortable over my current kraken x’s, and the sound quality would be a lot better as well
Planning on buying a wireless headset to use while I play vr. Leather is a must, foam would get gross after a while.
have both void elite wired and wireless great headphone, just ordered the virtioso SE they look better built.
Thanks for the great vid man, fellow SA person here. I had to return my Virtuoso's as the volume button was faulty, and had problems with sounds sensitivity settings when switching between Wired and Wireless modes, I also found my Corsair Void's to have more wireless distance than the Virtuoso's (did a few tests with USB extension cable for the receiver but dint make a huge difference). After returning the Virtuoso's, I'm going to try out the HS70 Pro's! Thanks to your reviews. Cheers
How are they? :)
@@choklez I ended up going for the HS70's Wireless, and they are fantastic, not a single issue. The volume button is old school, which makes it great to get to the perfect volume level. Would recommend 10/10.
The mic is also detachable on the HS70's, as with the Virtuoso's, which makes for a sleek look, when not using the mic.
@@onthewall425 Thanks a lot SC! So I should probably go with those? I have quite a big head though, is this a problem?
Or should I rather go for something more expensive, and if yes, what would you go for? (Excluding virtuoso)
@@choklez Sure man, no worries at all. If you need a larger headset, then even the HS70's Pro Wireless I think would do well, I just extended the headset full and I reckon it would fit well. If they really dont fit, then just return them to the store you got them from, and exchange for something, but I am sure these would be great man ::thumbsup::
The HS70 battery only lasted a year for me before it didn't hold any charge at all. It's rather disappointing because it's a great headset otherwise. I don't really want to buy a new headset every year so I'm wondering if the Virtuoso would have an improved battery lifetime.
same problem, but you can do a battery replacement yourself, it's pretty easy
3:12 mine did break there ._.
Mine HS70 Pro didn’t break in the metal part but in the plastic right beside it.
I think the void is the best tbh cause of the comfort and sound. With mine I can hear stuff that my friends can’t it’s crazy
Awesome review, very detailed!
I love the voids but it's not for every head shape as I noticed trying a pair on, my sister bought the void elite I was able to confirm that people with a thin build with a more oval head shape the voids sit very loose, it's more fitting for rounder head shapes
I own void elite headset. Only problem volume control doesn't work on ps5 or ps4. The volume is right in middle. They fit great.
Ekt geweet jys afrikaans xD Great video! Jou mic clip so bietjie.
3:10 is exactly what happened to me today, so was checking to see Virtuoso quality before I purchased one lol.
I have tried all three and the 70s hurt my ears the most Voids are loose but feel the best and the virtuosos do hurt my ears a bit but I can deal with it.
Stfu nobody cares
@@F83.M4 bruh
I don’t have the 70s but I have the 60 pro and the clamping is slightly too much for me to bare however I think the voids are absolutely hideous.... maybe I’ll try the virtuosos
@@Electragirl5 with the Vortuosos I suggest buying new earcups from Amazon for thicker pads so your ears don't touch the inner drivers.
I got the void pro surround sound and I don’t regret
@We Do Tech - my online pals are saying that my HyperX Cloud II's sound clearer than the Virtuoso microphone. Are you using any other software/hardware to run your microphone test through?
He likes his RBG I do too , but it does not make any sence to have on headsets. because you can not see the rbg , so whats the use on headsets with rbg.
Own the HS70's and have mained the Elites for around 5ish years. The HS70 feels better in the hand and when you wear it..... at first. After about an hour the pressure from the headset gets really uncomfortable, and feels like its squishing the crap out of my head. My Elites are old, heavy, clunky, and look kind of toyish, but the battery has held up well over time, mic sounds great, and over time its comfortable. Can work from home for 8 hours and not get tired of wearing them unlike the HS70s. Sadly the drop down mic on the Elites have just broken on the hinge and I'm probably gonna try out the Logitech 535's for a lighter but comfortable replacement.
@We Do Tech In your opinion, what is the best quality headset for gaming/Netflix use in the $100-$150 Range?
The hs70 is very good. You won't be let down
@@veortox330 Do you know how i can fix that the one side is louder than the other side?
@@k.8779 I think you can fix it from the software and if I can’t then maybe try to get a refund or something
The void elite ist perfect for vr... snaps perfectly in my rift s just like they made it just for that
I have had the HS70s for little over 2 years. After about 18 months, the battery only charges halfway. This could have been user error, leaving them plugged in when they were fully charged or not fully charging them and using them. Them. But it has been an issue.
I want to buy the hs70 pro, will I have a problem with lag or a huge dissatvantage in gaming ??
my Hs70 is broken now at that weakpoint lasted me 1 or 2 years whenever it came out I'm happy with them still but gonna buy a new pair
I didn't hear a difference between the Virtuoso mic wired and wireless

Great review, thank you, I bought the hs70!
Hey, I‘m planning on buying one too, would you say it ist good?
@@voltek4743 been using it for 2 months now and they are really good. My mates all hear me clearly, and they are very comfy and sturdy, not too heavy and no fuss. They are pretty smart too. Not too gamery, but great for gaming. (that's all I use it for: fortnite, Minecraft, dark souls, etc.)

have a question does the dongle for each work wit hall or just the one kind it comes with?
Are you guys dreamwaretech?
Ordered this just now. Selected this after considering the sound quality, mic quality, availability and the price in India. I went through some wireless headsets like steel series arctis 1, blackshark V2 pro, logitech g733, pro x and hyper x cloud stinger core before selecting this. Fingers crossed 🤞🏼 😃
@Juan Carlos Ables He ordered this, duh
You fart how are you gonna not tell us which you ordered, I want to know which one you liked as I’m looking for a headset now
I got a hs70 pro about 2 years ago but a few days ago they broke. I ordered a void elite because it was on sale.
Some people say the void elite doesn't have much bass / low end but other people say that there's a lot of bass (some even say too much)
I am a bit scared that the void elite is a downgrade😢
I personally prefer the HS70s but the voids aren't a bad headset either
and in wireless off mode, can HS70 be usable by the cable on PC ?
My hs70 broke today on that weak point. Only have them a year and a half. No way to fix then either such a shame
if I can get the voids for $20 cheaper would it now be better than the hs70 pro?
die afrikaans was nice price maak nie verskill nie hahahaha lekker boys
I got a Corsair Void elite wireless, overall great headseat altough there is a BUT...... I use it for pc and PS4 pro. There are no problems with PC, but when running with PS4 there is no way to turn off the rgb nor to change it. So be warned that you will be drying your battery faster like a unicorn given the rainbow effect that runs automatically.
3:01 yep he was correct. after 7 months of pretty good use, they finally snapped right where he mentioned :/
That always sucks
I personally didn't like my voids, they felt heavy and didn't squeeze as much as I wanted around my ears.
Hi We Do Tech,
I have some questions.
Do I need to do anything before disconnecting or connecting the charger into the usb or connecting the headset?
Do I need to power the power-button off or on before charging and when disconnecting the cable?
Do I just take the charger out of the headset and/or the USB port whenever I want?
Thanks
Hi man,
1. Nope, none.
2. Nope
3. Yip
Works exactly like charging your phone.
@@WeDoTech Awesome, just a couple more and I'm done.
If I hear the clicking noise or buzzing noise when past 12 metres, it will not damage the hardware in anyway? And final question..
I can connect the microphone piece at any time I want regardless if it is charging, on-off state and the microphone button on/off?
I am a meticulous nooby, apologies!
Thank you once again!
@@paddymcdoogle6753 No worries man, got to learn more somehow.
For the range, no it wont damage the product at all. It just loses connection and then get it back after you in range again. Just like your phone does when out of 4G or wifi range.
Yes you can and it wont damage anything, you might get a audio spike but no damage. Also just like you connect wired earphones to your phone.
@@WeDoTech And I can use it whilst charging I heard?

@@WeDoTech Thank you so much and I literally have one final question!
If I leave it past over-charged, is that bad? I know they say it takes around 2 hours to fully charge and ofcourse I can use it even half-charged (I heard it's important to keep it atleast half-charged to keep the life-expectancy going), but will undercharging-overcharging cause problems?
Thank you once again dude, will inform others of your page.
Hey so im thinking of buying the virtuoso, im just wondering, do ur ear get hot or uncomfortable after an hour of gaming? Or is it still comfortable?
In my experience, YES... I returned them and got the Void, because those ear cups don't breath and it seems to be for tiny girly ears... I am tempted to get the new HS70 BT but I am afraid the ear cup will be the same issue has the Virtuoso...

Will it be a good idea to buy the virtuoso or the void? I currently have the (normal) USB voids and I love them. I want to switch to the wireless version but I don't know whether to go for the virtuous or the void.
PS: I've had the USB voids for almost three years and they turned out really good.
Same situation with you. Had the Void Pro USB & 3.5mm version since 2018.
Just ordered the Virtuoso (non SE version due to the better mic) because I wanted something wireless yet slightly different in design compared to my Void Pro. Watched some headphones demo where they tested a bunch of brands and I found myself fancying the sound signature of Corsair the most thus returning to their brand.
Not sure how it’ll be comfort wise but hopefully my head and ears suit them. Main reason why I bought the Void Pro then is because of my ears shape and their comfort.
Anyway, what did you settled for?
@@MeorHariz what ended up happening?
@@SSZSSX I used the Virtuoso for a few months and then I got busy that I don’t play games as much anymore. Even when I do, I just used my AirPods Pro + studio microphone as my communication peripherals instead of connecting my Virtuoso. Mainly because I no longer play competitive games that require audio to assist me (fps, especially). Just racing games with friends now.
1) The Virtuoso’s battery life can get you about 2-3 days of gaming session with about 4 hours put on each.
2) My friends said my microphone from Void Pro is far better than the Virtuoso.
3) The Virtuoso is sort of heavy and will leave a dent on your head if worn for more than 2 hours. It’s alright on the ears but not so on the top of your head.
Still have it with me as it was a birthday gift but.. wish I utilized it more. Probably if it was capable of pairing with mobile phones or Apple devices - it would have been a much better purchase.
@@MeorHariz I see, thanks for the detailed reply. How nice did the voids sit on your head/ feel on your ears? And did they get warm/hot after some time?
@@SSZSSX The Void Pro was amazing. My head is on the above average to bigger side and the design of the Void Pro compliments my head shape very well. I love the triangular ear pads as it truly covers my ear shape.
The top cushion and ear pads are made out of mesh so they are VERY breathable. Much better than leather pads (despite people boasting the noise isolation that leather pads offer). I could play games for a longer time without realizing I have the Void Pro on my head.
Only issue I had with them was how unstable and buggy the software / audio driver for the Void Pro was. Most of the time it works perfectly - so good I had a lot of advantage for games like Apex legends. Some days, not so lucky. Everything is muffled and you'll have no idea how to fix the issue.
It was what made me retire the Void Pro, unfortunately.
Can anyone suggest me equalizer settings for HS70 pro to play games like pubg,.?
I really stuck with the sound settings as i cant hear footsteps clearly with HS70 pro wireless , i feel like the sound has too much bass rather detailed sound .
