"Get out of your way" wow. One I heard a lot was 'stop selling yourself short' and I used to get so mad at people who said that to me, isn't that funny? Like I was mad at them for seeing more in me than I saw in myself. Unreal man.

Your messages helped me so much you have no idea - I was also always super religious, born again Christian, totally dedicated and felt guilty when I started my spiritual journey. Your explaining just makes sense and I'm thankful for your teachings. I prayed the last few weeks about persuing my passion that is so strong I can't stop thinking about it (since a child) and this video has given my answer. Thank you 🙏

Aaron, you just answered a question I have been pondering for some months now. It was weighing me down for a bit and then I gradually/naturally let it go, and a couple weeks ago I asked Source/Universe/God to reveal to me what I need to hear and here I am. I could never express the gratitude, admiration, and appreciation I have for you and everything you offer to this world. I'm so blessed! Thank you

That is amazing to me that you didn’t think you were good at explaining things. And that it took you so long to wrap your mind around it. I am a Christian but my husband was Hindu. He introduced me to the concept of GOD within. We had started to go to a Shivyog forum where I experienced some yoga and meditation for the first time. Unfortunately we weren't able to go all the time and then COVID hit. I then came across your videos and realized u were saying the same as in shivyog but with a Christian back ground to it. Thank u. U broke down what shivyog was teaching even simpler for me. Thank u

Shit, that was real. It's wild how beautiful this all is, and even how beautifully Aaron puts it for us to hear, and even hearing his origins in how we all ended up finding out about him was beautiful. At some point you realize the same concepts keep coming up and you'd think just hearing it once was enough but the various flipping around of concepts makes it so that it can be applied in so many ways. I'll never get sick of the most beautiful reminders about personal and outer reality.

Great topic! I have wondered recently about how to unite the idea of free will and non-doership. My current idea is to have non-doership as a concept and relax the mind into it, with the feeling of free will intact as the driving motivation. It will be interesting to hear the discussion in this video. Edit: I like Aaron's description of how the Self is actually all of reality and the will of the Source. That's an important key I think.

I know that when my sister tells me what a good dude I am, I would get angry/annoyed because that was not my vision of myself so everything told that was not in alignment of my own vision of myself made me uncomfortable. I found out just months ago from the same sister that my other sister and her husband have spoken well of me but they did not want to tell me this because they would not think I would believe them because they are relatives and that's "how they are supposed to feel because we are family etc". I would always deny compliments because I did not see them fit me. After a dinner with them weeks ago, they were open about how they saw me and I was shocked and tearful and were honest about that they didn't want to tell me this because I would not believe their view. I don't know what to do with this information. At least not reject it? Anyways, cheers Aaron for another video.

"does dancing have a purpose? is there a spot on the floor one must arrive at?
does music have a purpose? I mean if music had a purpose it would just be one crashing bang..

Great questions. Regarding actions and ambition, becoming enlightened doesn't mean your body stops doing things. Jesus didn't vanish after achieving enlightenment, neither did the Buddha and Mahavatar Babaji has been around for at least 2,000 years since his awakening! The point is, yes, we are the infinite, but if you're everything then you're nothing in particular. So the infinite uses the illusion of the body to play roles and be someone, to have separate, discrete experiences. So you can still see yourself as the all-pervading spirit (as all masters do) while observing your body carrying out certain roles and playing certain parts, it's a game. Think of actors, they put on costumes and play characters but the person playing Hamlet doesn't actually think he's Hamlet. The minute the director shouts "cut" he's back to his real personality.

This is excellent and I compute this as well. I always say when it's not fun for me anymore I'm not supposed to be doing it. That's a simplified way of saying once the inspiration of Source isn't with me on something I'ts time to move on. You learned what you were meant to. It's not easy to accept someone's. God/Source is life having experiences through us. When it's done having the experience the body will know. Once we get out of the way and let life do it and stop thinking it's personal.. win or lose.. get the promotion or not.. it's all a distortion and living in full acknowledgment of the ego as the self.

I want to make a professional type video just to the degree that I have seen you make videos I wonder if you would want to get on board with that that would be great I embrace many angles in including ACIM. I do like the Direct Nondual teachings but anything that loosens the sense of identity and boundary is embraced. Let me know if we could work together to make a video that would be awesome! 😀❤️🙏

If it is really my "calling" then why i cant make it work? Or is my ego blocking my desire, because there is an unworthyness inside of me due to my upbringing.. I,m at lost...

I think free will is an illusion purely based on the fact that you can always only chose form the choices that the higher self set up for you. The higher self already knows what you are going to chose and how it will play out.

The concepts are so abstract. The self, the higher self, the ego. The duality seems so unnecessary, so unhelpful. If everything is guided and there is no free will, what is the point of anything? It is easier to believe in nothing than to trade one spiritual lie for another.

Can I get some clarity around distinguishing non-doership and the “making it about X”? In your Michael Jordan example you mentioned that as soon as Michael made it about him it would cause egoic interruption. This implies that something is choosing the egoic thought process is not? How do we seperate the choosing of an egoic thought vs the divine will of the creator? Who is responsible for selection of awareness?

  • @koanzx1
    @koanzx1 2 роки тому

well then apart from dissolving the I and the illusion of separation, we just have to chill and watch our own life like a movie?
Also, about the passion topic i was wondering what about the people who started doing something but didn't enjoy it at all because it was hard at first, but then with practice they actually became good and started enjoying it, was it a passion given by the universe all along with like a "test" to see if you push through, or was it a passion that was created in the process, while practicing it?
This is very interesting, to me this concept of being lived is a huge relief and actually very humbling.

In relation to the desire of the Jiva and fulfilling a life purpose. There is a sva-dharma of the incarnate entity, or his essential nature or function in the material world. In Bhagavad Gita Krsna describes varying methods of yoga. Niskama Karma Yoga is the performance of ones dharma without attachment to the fruit of the action. This is a bonafide transcendental means of attaining God, though as you move more into sattva-guna you will naturally have the dharma of a full time yogi like our boy Aaron Abke. Some thoughts from an ex-monk 🙏

Once the person gives themselves to God asking to dissolve/ surrender to God.. searching, and God intervenes and answers. That personhood made its choice as far as will goes. But its like deciding to put your head in the lions mouth, once you have decided to do that.. you are now in the lions mouth. Choice made. You’re not getting out.. you’re done. Lol .. however.. it’s the only place to be. 🥰
