Oh wow it is? That’s really cool! That is so cool! Thanks for the context. I did not realize who that was until you just mentioned it, and I have watched some videos of his in the past.
I'm a siren enthusiast too and I have a lot of respect for this guy, but I don't see how this is more worthy of a spot on a news channel than anything else. There are tons of people who collect tons of different obscure things. Take my friend, for instance. He has tons of authentic incandescent pinspots and gobo-scanners. He uses it for authentic vintage disco experiences, his own 70's tape deck and speakers, and everything hardware-wise appropriate for the time, and the news outlet just doesn't care despite how much time and effort he's put into it. Because of him, I'm one of the only people who gets to experience an authentic disco every once in a while. I feel like if they're going to give this guy a spot on the news, they should acknowledge other hobbiests that do other incredible things in other categories.
Hi Christopher my name is Joshua Shipp and I live in Omaha Nebraska. You and myself would get a long just fine because I am also very very much into tornado sirens I’ve been into them since I was 9 and I’m now 27. The sirens that are around Omaha are the T-128 sirens which aren’t bad sirens but I actually really love Thunderbolts. I also use to live in Grand Island Nebraska and they have Thunderbolts and it was Grand Island when I first discovered and understood what a tornado sirens was and it was in Grand Island when I first got into them. Grand island also had those 22TA sirens. Omaha also has a few 2001 sirens but they are mainly T-128s I actually don’t know what the original system was in Omaha before but the T-128s are a newer system but has been here for quite sometime now.
Christopher, I love your collection. I recognize all of them. Check out my portable Thunderbolt, on you tube. Have you ever heard the 180 hp, 3 stage, 5,500 pound, "Chrysler Air Raid Siren" ? Check out my portable one on you tube. Pittsburgh Chrysler, Harry Barry. Keep up the good work.
