I would like to see a dynamic stretch and dynamic workout on the hip flexors. People get really tense there so I think it'd be really useful to learn more about hip flexors and more ways to move and exercise and stretch them.
I don't understand why it has to go before the intense workout. Could you tell me why please? Would you have to finish all the workout with a passive strech?
+Isabel Siñeriz nope i believe we have two types of stretch dynamic and systemic one is continuous the other is holding each pose for 30 seconds. Remember sonetimes everything you read or hear online isnt true. Triple check everything.
+Shakita Borde yes, I've done some research and it is true that dynamic strech is different that's why it's better if it is done before the hard workout. To gain better range of movement for splits and back arching, in your experience, dynamic strech is more effective than static strech?
No, Static Stretch increase ROM of motion more effectively. Use it after a workout or on a day off after you have warmed up the body. It also decrease maximal strength when lifting (body weight, dumbbells, barbells, anything). The best way to warm up is to start with foam rolling muscles; gets blood moving a little, helps elongate muscles and release knots that you may have. Then, a dynamic routine (the point is the move the limbs through their capable full range of motion under control IE. if someone said to STOP, you should be able to hold the position you are in) Dynamic stretching isn't really used to increase range of motion; it is more to get blood moving more, prepare the muscles and CNS for lifting and exercising, and to increase synovial fluid in the joints. Ultimately if you want the best increases in ROM, you should look towards PNF stretching. But only under a good understanding should you attempt this type.

Just bought the 21 day fix!!! Can't wait to get started!!!
Wow what a nice home!
Wait so do you have to do a warm up before this or is this the warm up?
Anyone know what runners she is wearing ???

its to warm up your muscles before the work out studies have shown that stretching your muscles before working out prevents damage and soreness
I thought that if you streched your muscles before warming up, you could dammage them. That's why I'm confused.
