lol I immediately thought of that when I saw the Apple and Google logos in the design, but I'm pretty sure both dbrand and MKBHD did all the legal homework on this one, specially since he's been so vocal about a random chair company using his image illegally in the past
Logos aren’t usually copyrighted because they’re too simple - they are _trademarked_, however. One of the main factors for trademark infringement is “consumer confusion” I.e. “if the customer saw the trademark on a third-party product, would they be likely to think it’s a product from that trademark owner?” In this instance, because of the patten-like design, the inclusion of multiple trademark logos (apple, google, Tesla etc.) and the fact that none of these companies are in the business of selling phone skins, it’s unlikely this causes enough confusion to be an infringement.

Copyright and trademark are two different things. A trademark tells the customer that a product is produced by a certain company. If the logo does not serve this function, as is clearly the case here, there laws are a lot less strict.
