Yes, thanks for showing this. Deworming is crucial and I know so many folks who have no idea that deworming puppies and kittens is so necessary.
Or people that think cause they're indoors that they don't need to be deworming is definitely 100% needed cause it doesn't hurt them if they don't have anything

When I was a kid, my mom's coworker gave us an abandoned kitten found in her barn. We brought the kitten to the vet right away for an examination. After watching these videos, I'm surprised the vet didn't examine for parasites upon the first check-up. We only knew our cat had parasites weeks after the vet visit because he vomited up worms. Obviously we brought him to the vet again and got the little guy treatment.
I’m surprised that my rescue kitten doesn’t have worms nor throws up worms. But i’ll need to take him to the vet for a check up anyways.

It didn't go well.
The lady runningthe kitten part of it was extremely rude, and tried to force us to keep kittens and cats that we tried to Foster.
I ended up working at a dog breeding place instead.
It's a very humane, every dog is treated very very well. And I get to play with all of them ^^
Actually doing this now with my foster babies.....yuck.

You can ask the shelter staff that’s responsible for giving vaccines to show you how to do it and then just buy the vaccine at Tractor Supply or another store. It’s really easy. If that’s all that’s holding you up from fostering, surely the staff won’t mind helping you learn so your cat can be safe and you can start to foster :)

OMG, MG's eyes when he gets dosed, lol. Could you do a video on how you would sterilize a soft carrier (like a Sleepypod) in between litters?
I will never forgot seeing all the worms come out in my foster kittens poop. I was shocked! My friend had foster puppies that were just riddled with worms and before receiving their dewormer the dogs were pooping live worms!! Literal live worms were crawling on the newspaper it was nasty to say the least.

Giardia is NO FUN, let me tell you. One of the worst experiences of my life. I got infected with it once as an undergrad and it landed me in the hospital for 4 days.

My kitties tend to get really squirmy when I give them meds so I have to bundle them up in towel so they couldn't move much. Yours are well mannered 😁

Be forewarned, it’s a lot of work. Make sure you study up on taming feral kittens and on dog training, including cat and dog behavioural studies; you’ll have to train an animal out of bad behaviour sooner or later. Make sure you have a good vet lined up, as you’ll have to make frequent visits. As well, make a decision on how young you’re willing to take them. Orphaned Neonatal and younger kittens and puppies will mean getting up frequently at night for feedings, and learning how to tube feed safely. Learning how to give medicines, fluids under the skin, and even IVs is beyond useful. If you take in sickly ones that need to be nursed to health, you’re going to have to face the stress that not all may live.
And one more thing all fosterers struggle with; you’re going to get attached, and you’re going to want to keep them! You’re going to have to get used to letting go of animals that will need to only become a temporary part of you life, but still receive all of your love.
It’s an awesome thing to do, though!

I agree with everyone! Do your research because it’s not all fun and games! I would get into contact with your local shelter and see if they have any foster programs :) I think that’s the best way to start.
It's really hard indeed. We just rescued 2 days old baby and it's a lot of work. But when you look at the tiny furball you just forget all the trouble. If you wanna see him, we uploaded videos in our profile.

Those kittens are so beautiful! What happens though if a kitten spits out a good amount of their dose, & you can't tell exactly how much they swallowed
You should use a technique I do. Two people needed! One open mouth and other put medicine direct near throat not in tongue then they got no choice:)

I have a problem, my friend has a new litter of kittens and one of them is acting weard. They're weak, not eating and quiet from the usual. There's no vets open at the moment and we don't know what to do. Hope you can help us.
If anyone knows what to do please help us out. We're scared the kitten might be ill
Find an emergency vet.
Plan on emergency feeds. Get to Petco, etc.. and get a bottle, goats milk or KMR. You're going to have to supplement. They might be dehydrated.

The worm that came out of my cat was like 12 inches long and HUGE lol
I had to deworm the kitten I adopted, and the only way he'd take his medicine was after being wrapped in a purrito.

I just watched your video before administrating the de-worming medicine that my vet gave me. This was super helpful! I think the key is slipping the syringe in the sides of their mouths. That and not hesitating: no need to rush, but don't dilly-dally either.
Gave the medicine to both of my kittens, and everything went great! Thank you.

Can u do a vid on how to clean a house with ppl who have allergies to cats or life hacks to keep hair and dander to a minimum
yesss I hope she does this, I'm allergic to cats but I have four and the hair makes my skin itch
zfox 90900 great idea!! Until Hannah does here are some tips that helped me as I was severely allergic at first to cats. A. Put air purifiers on every floor esp in bedrooms. B. Use ALLERPET wipes on your kitty it helps remove the dander and smells amazing!! C. Wash bedding and throw rugs a bit more often. D. Brushing/combing the kitty often can help them get rid of hair /dander so they don’t have to lick themselves as much.
I clean with diluted bleach or apple cider vinegar too. Also if there are certain places that are off limits like a certain room or the counters that can help too. And surprising but true over time you will build immunity to your own kitties! I’m actually not allergic to mine anymore. Oh yes and when working w litter try to wear gloves and a dust mask. That always stirs my allergies. I hope these tips help! There’s something Hannah cleans w too called RESCUE disinfectant it’s on her supplies page on her website. 🐱🐱🐱
Addendum to singergrrl77's advice: If you have HVAC air filters in the house, make sure to get the "upgraded" anti-allergy filters, and don't be afraid to replace them "too soon" if a quick visual check shows them to be clogged up with hair etc. - helps a whole lot if the biggest air-moving thing in your house is helping scrub those allergens out of the air for you :)
My brother is allergic to cats, so I get mr. Fluffy groomed the day before he comes. I also cover the furniture with clean sheets right before he arrives. He has no reaction. Hopefully this helps!

I remember being seven years old with my brand new puppy, who threw up what i thought was a bit of a spaghetti noodle at the time... he’s getting up there in age now, but still as vibrant as he was as a puppy.

is there any small tips i can do? i don't have any medicine to feed my kitten because my mom wont take me to the vet to get medicine. the cat has blood in her stool and i am 14 trying to take care of this sick cat with no help. i cant give her to anyone to help and I'm bawling my eyes out. what if she dies because of me? please help me I'm so scared.
I realize this message comes 3 years to late but I'm so sorry you had to go through that. Your parents really failed you on that one. At 14 you shouldn't have ever been in the situation of having the entirety of your kittens health on your shoulders, especially when so few places would hire you that young. I hope you and the kitten are well and that you were able to find the help you needed for them. Even if things ended badly though, thank you so much for caring so much about that little one and giving it love.

I have a question, my 4 weeks old kitty has a swollen belly and his breath smells like something rotten. I got him from the shelter here in florida, they told me he got dewarmed but im staring to worry. He eats too much. Had fiarrea for 2 days but now pop is normal. Pls help
Thanks Hannah, I enjoy your videos. My younger cat has Feline Asthma and takes people medication and the vet compounds it with a liquid syrup that Alexie likes. She was 5 years old when first diagnosed now she is 10 and doing great! Alexie doesn’t always like her meds but she doesn’t have a choice and Mom always gets the meds down!

I had a batch of kittens recently that had upper respiratory infections so they got oral antibiotics and a salve in their eyes. They hated it and started to figure out what was about to happen when I got the meds out of the fridge. They really fought me, and I found swaddling them helped a lot so they couldn't scratch run away. I wish I could have made them understand I was helping them....but we cant talk to cats. All but one of them(had to be euthanized due to a genetic deformity) are happy and healthy in new homes now.
This is one of my favourite channels on YT. I'm only sorry that I didn't have access to such extensive knowledge about saving kittens earlier, it would make things much easier. Fortune bless you, Kitten Lady, you're an amazing woman.

I lost many himalayan kittens last year due to coccydia. It was a nightmare . i found 2 very tiny abandoned kittens outside and brought them indoors and took care of them . they were sick with upper respiratory infection and diarrhea. Kept them separately from my himis- very soon discovered my Himalayan kittens started looking very sick And vomiting- diarhhea then mothers abandoned them .took to my vet - diagnosed coccydia . gave albon and amoxicillan- lost all kittens but 1. many many stray cats and kittens where i live . I feed them bec i can't stand to see hungry animals . and i take my shoes off at the door . am afraid to get it again . I still cry to this day over my kittens dying .

My vet only gave my cat one medication. He tested my cats stool but its a few months later and his poo stinks really bad. Do you think he should be dewormed again?
