Anybody else watching this at 3:44 AM with a litter of small kittens mewing dramatically in the room and a T-shirt splattered with kitten formula? Yuuup.
[*sigh*] Sadly, yes. Soooo much pressure!!!!!!!! If I do do it... they die! If I do it wrong... they die! If I don't do it often enough... they die! I think I'm getting an ulcer!!!

How is it going? I found what looks like a 1 week old kitten abandoned. He also fights feedings. He still has umbilical cord & eyes closed. I feel he's not gonna latch. I'm scared he's gonna die. But we'll see.😿🙏
How awesome you are❤i rescued 1 1 Day old kitten IV had him 24 hr at 7 pm hes got baby nipple and healthy kitty formula and definitely healthy so far keeping heat at 85 thank you for caring about animals 😇😇 your a bonafide certified precious earth angel saving lives thank you
@Allison Hunter Ear ticking... awesome!! I did not know that, I love it! I love learning anything new about cats since I have 6 + 1 outside feral Thanks ❤
Its my first time to take care this poor abandoned kitten. And it's true that it is hard to feed the kitten. 😭 But I'm trying my best to follow your tricks. Thank you for this ♥️
Hi, I just wanted to tell you how much I appreciate you bottle feeding videos. Just over two years ago I found my baby Merlin at about three weeks old and was able to determine this and how to care for him because of your videos. He passed the night of March 23rd 2022 before he could have his third birthday. His daddy, brother and I are so devastated by his sudden loss but are so grateful for the time that he was with us. And it's because of your videos. I just want to take this time to thank you for these videos, what you do and the time we had with our boy. You are amazing and I hope you can do this for a very long time.
Hello kitten Lady! I am taking care of a lot of street cats, We have so many here in Israel, I found a new born kitten, first time, all your instructions in this video help me to take care of him, and all the other ones, Thank you
I found a two week old kitten too!! He's basically skin and bones and doesn't wanna drink😭 I'll have to take him to a vet because these tips aren't helping!!💔
Thank you so much. I've fostered many kittens and have bottle fed them. I am also an old NICU nurse so this is right down my alley but I got a kitten a couple nights ago that had been found on an engine. It's probably close to a couple of weeks old but was really stressed when I got it. The women that brought her to me had really done the best she could but they don't understand the importance of warmth. Anyway, she was a difficult feeder. I have one of those bubble nipples that I use with a syringe and love them. She could latch and suck but what a Tasmanian devil and I couldn't keep her paws contained. So, I did what you recommended and fed her in her box. It has a stuffed animal and she ate like a champ! I am so grateful for this advice. Feed on!
Thank you so much for these video's. I have fostered 53 kittens. I could not have had as much success if it wasn't for watching your videos at 3am when I was pulling my hair out trying to get a little guy to take to the bottle. My favorite success (again, thanks to you) was when I had 5 little 2 week old orphans, after the loss of their mother they wanted nothing to do with the bottle but when you mentioned to try competition feeding, I thought why not....IT WORKED! What does a kitten want? What another kitten has Ha! THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR HELP!!!
These videos help so much I am fostering a feral mommy Cat with five babies and she doesn't't feed the little kitten so now I am trying to save a 150g 4 week old kittens life who just so happens to not like bottle feeding. So yeah your videos are the best! Super educational!
Thank you so much. I’ve been away from orphaned kitten work for a while. When I started we were all figuring it it out on our own. Now we have UA-cam and people like you. I really appreciate the advice and encouragement. Because of resources like this I feel supported by a community rather than struggling on my own. So, Thank you Kitten Lady... you are supporting an army of cat lovers. We can’t save them all but it’s not going to stop us from trying.
I don't have a cat, I'm not planning on getting a kitten bacause my landlord doesn't allow pets...but I keep on watching your videos! You're so sweet and you do such an amazing job!
A homeless guy gifted my wife a newborn, maybe 36hrs old. We've never dealt with this before, but life is a learning experience, eh? I am so happy to have found your youtube, and am now a subscriber. Thank you so much!
Thank you for these handy tips. Kitten season is about to start here and I am ready for fosters. @Kitten Lady one additional tip I have found: some kittens just don't like to eat a lot at one time so if one doesn't eat enough, I feed the rest of the litter and go back to give the reluctant kitten a second go at the bottle. Often they eat enough, just in 2 feedings.
My s/o and I are caring for an abandoned kitten that we plan on raising up and keeping. The information in this and all your videos has been absolutely invaluable to us as first timers.
I want to start by saying thank you so so much for all the information as it’s really helpful. My cat gave birth to 9 kittens and not every kitten is getting mums milk as my queen only have 6 nipples. I am feeding then a little so my queen and kittens can catch up. Not more thn 3 times a day and weighing them to make sure everyone is growing and feeding. They are just 2 days old and you video is very helpful specially the wrapping technique. It calms the kitten and specially when they are sooooo small. Thank you darling
God that kitten you re holding and playing with as you talk is killing me. She’s such a playful wiggly clumsy squirmy cute little thing I’m going to die from the cuteness. We got our cat at 4 months. She was a little clumsy then so I can just imagine how adorable she was as a baby.
Thank you for all the great tips! My Granddaughter brought me an abandoned little kitten yesterday. Kitten only weighs 8 oz but It is probably 4 weeks old. We bottle fed it yesterday. Today took it to Vet and the Vet fed it some solid food. So we are going to try solid food with some milk mixed in.
Thanks Kitten Lady! I appreciate your fact-based information. You are an excellent resource! I took about 10 yrs off from fostering & recently got back into it. Your videos brought me back up to speed, along with helpful information I didn't know about. Keep doing the great work you do! You are making a big difference for countless people like me. (And of course the cats)
Your feline knowledge is impressive. I enjoy your videos. Unfortunately, due to blood cancer and a suppressed immune system, I can't have a cat or kitten but I grew up with several and I enjoy your cats and kittens vicariously.
Coming up to retirement and seriously considering converting a bedroom and fostering through Cats Protection UK. Your videos are so informative and you have been my inspiration. Thank you so much, you have saved me and so many kittens across the pond ! Bless you always.
Kitten Lady, I love you!! Spoken like a TRUE NICU-RN!!! I see so many UA-cam videos where good intention people are making numerous mistakes!! No comfort provided for the kitten and no warmth...thank you sooo much for all you do!! Love you to pieces!!🤗😍😘😘💖💝💖💝💖❤💙💛🧡💚💙💛
Excellent educational videos. THANKS a million. I am a volunteer with a county animal shelter in Northern CA, and the shelter is setting up for neonatal rescue. Your videos are assigned as part of the training program. As a retired ICU nurse and nursing educator, your approach to teaching adult learners is spot on. Keep up the good work!
Thank you so much for the video. I recently found an extremely newborn kitten alone in one of my flowerbeds crying. We had just had a severe storm and flash flood so I can only assume it got washed away from its mother. Anyway the little thing wasn’t eating but thanks to your video I tried using a syringe and thankfully that did the trick.
I’m in the same boat. I have one abandoned newborn kitten, less than a week old with the eyes closed. I’m so stressed out. I’m gonna try the syringe method because the bottle I found at PetSmart has a nipple That’s just too big, I have the kitten nipple coming tomorrow. Soooooo stressful! He just lashes his head back-and-forth and is so strong, claws out of my hands. And cries and cries, I try swaddling him, and he escapes out of that too! At least he has some fight in him, poor little guy
Your techniques are so unique but so efficient! Fun story when I was ten my cat Gigi had kittens in the closet and one baby was having a hard time feeding because he was the runt so to get him going he'd suckle my finger thinking it was her teet then I'd move him to her belly so he'd actually eat. Worked like a charm 😊
Hannah, I wanted to say thank you for this video and all the time and effort you’ve taken to make all your videos. We found a 10day kitten abandoned in our garden, we were certain it was alone and had been there a while. We took him to the vet immediately and then he was given back to us to be cared for once the vet was happy no serious issues. Your videos have helped us so much and have no doubt saved our kitten’s life. Thank you for all your wonderful efforts to help save lives. You’re a beautiful human and I’m very thankful to you! Warm regards, Alex x
Thank you so much I saved 2 baby kittens that I found and couldn't get them to eat or anything and I was really worried but you saved them with this video God bless you and your family 💜
I just found 3 kittens all alone. I have never fed a kitten from a bottle. this is new to me, and probably them. Thank you so much for all your information, and tips. I think I xan attempt their first feeding successfully now, especially with all the knowledge you have given from your videos. I am absolutely sure I will be watching them (particularly this one) over, and over again. 😻😻😻😻😻 Thank you, very much appreciated!🕉
@Kitten Lady I volunteer at a pet food bank *only one in my whole city* and have recommended your channel to so many people with kittens/repeated what tips I remember to them so many times- they love when I Purrito a kitten they brought in~! *though most escape so maybe I'm not quite doing it right lol* I had a question about syringe feeding and replacing them frequently- HOW frequently should they be replaced? I know you said they should be washed out after each use but also replaced frequently, but does that mean every 5 uses, or every 10, or what? I'd love to know so I can tell my clients at the Pet Food Bank if they ever need to know!!
UnderLust_Sins I’m not Hannah but I’ve fostered for three years and I recommend using them for a day and then replacing them. That way you don’t have to keep track of how many times you used a certain syringe! Hope this helps and once again I’m no expert but I have some experience.
My daughter and I are looking forward to fostering in the very near future when we are no longer renting! Hannah, you have inspired us over this past year to set an incredible goal and we cannot wait to be able to open our home(and hearts) to fostering ❤️ Your videos are going to be life changing for the kittens we are able save, Thank you!
Thank you for all your information. I have been given an abandoned kitten and we are on day three with a 1-2 week old. I am so tired but refer to you for help, encouragement and tips. I was so excited when my kitten pooped x keep doing what you are doing you are making a difference to kittens you will never see…wish us luck and thank you again x
This video helped us out a lot with feeding anxiety we started to have. Our 2 week old kittens are eating more and easier than before. The swaddling, competition feeding and having stuffed animals really helped. Thank you so much for your videos and support!!
This video has helped us so very much!!! Our Story: My 14yr old daughter found a neo-kitten that was tied to an AC unit outside our apartment building using a small bit of balloon ribbon. It was Obvious that this not where Mama Cat left her baby. We suspect that a neighbor kid wanted to keep the kitten they found & for whatever reason chose to keep the kitten hidden. We have several feral cats around complex and I had no idea how to find the Mama. The kitten's eyes were closed, had an umbilical cord still attached, has a stubby and kinked tail (so adorable) & was sooo very cold (ofc we found her the first cold snap in October). Immediately, we leaped into action.... Task 1 = warm the kitten!!!! Task 2 = get bottles & kitten formula to feed our rescue neo-kitten!!! We also needed to research care for this sweet lil baby! Your videos have been by far the BESTEST videos!!!! It has not been easy! I am grateful for my medical back ground, it has been beneficial, but I'd still be lost without your videos. At first we had no idea how newly born the kitten was (we had to wait for her umbilical cord to fall off). The kitten's umbilical cord fell off on day 5... we estimate that we found her the very day she was born. Oh yeah.... Did I mention your videos helped us determine the kitten is female. The day before her umbilical cord fell off, she gave us a scare. Not pooping, barely eating & acting lethargic ( I scheduled a vet visit for as soon as I could, which ended up being 36 hrs away). Gratefully, I managed to get her to poop after about 18hrs and immediately everything else resolved. We still went to the vet appt to make sure the kitten was doing well (and her umbilical cord fell off the day before her appt). In the beginning we struggled to maintain temperature. After the vet visit, as I read through the papers they gave us, I discovered that the scare was due to her getting to cold. The previous night she had managed to escape the lil box we had put her in through the handle we had thought was too high for the kitten to find (she climbed the stuffed animal and fell approx 6-8 in to the hard wood floor) . Our apt was particularly cold from AC issues at the time and I have no idea exactly how long the kitten was on our very cold floor before I heard her in the night. Thankfully, I was getting used to the 2hr wakeup schedule, so I think I found her fairly early, but she was colder than the night we found her. After the vet visit and the realization of what went wrong, I immediately made changes to her heat source as well as her enclosure. The kitten has been a lot better after that. There has definitely been satisfaction & joy in rescuing our lil Trixalynn or "Trix". She is soooo feisty, like a lil tiger!!! My biggest frustrations come when feeding her. "Trix" will claw and attack the bottle when it is 1st offered with such ferocity! The only way we can feed her without being clawed to death before she starts sucking is to use a barber shop method that very tightly restrains her paws until her hunger is at least halfway satiated. She also plays aggressively and likes best to "play" with people. We are now struggling to teach her to not be so aggressive during play and meals. She will be 6 wks this Friday. So far she is not really interested in the wet food that we have introduced. I am hoping that wet food helps settle the issues during meals. If you have any additional suggestions for how to calm our lil Trix I would love some feedback or maybe a new video. Not really sure if you have an email or other platform that I could communicate more directly with you. I know feral has to do with socialization, but sometimes feels like she has similar spiciness. Maybe she just really has needed another kitten to socialize with in addition to the affection and play she gets from us. Is it possible for Trix to have an inherent "spicy" personality??? She has only recently started playing with the toys we got her. Of course the kicker toy is her favorite toy, but she also thinks my shoe on my foot is also a kicker toy even when I am not moving. In fact, she has never "played" with my shoe when I am walking.
Thank you for the tips Kitten Lady! I'm on day one of fostering my first kittens and they are struggling to adjust to the bottle. This video gave me lots of ideas to help them. I hope by tomorrow they will be doing much better at it!
HI!!! Omg I love your channel so much! I am getting a cat tomorrow possibly!! When my mom was filling out paperwork I almost cried 😂. Can you do a video on how to get a new cat to get used to your home and using a litter box. Thanks 😁♥️♥️

Thank you, very much appreciated!🕉
I had to rewatch this because I only kept looking at Kabu and didn't listen to the tips.

@Kitten Lady
I volunteer at a pet food bank *only one in my whole city* and have recommended your channel to so many people with kittens/repeated what tips I remember to them so many times- they love when I Purrito a kitten they brought in~! *though most escape so maybe I'm not quite doing it right lol*
I had a question about syringe feeding and replacing them frequently- HOW frequently should they be replaced?
I know you said they should be washed out after each use but also replaced frequently, but does that mean every 5 uses, or every 10, or what? I'd love to know so I can tell my clients at the Pet Food Bank if they ever need to know!!
UnderLust_Sins I’m not Hannah but I’ve fostered for three years and I recommend using them for a day and then replacing them. That way you don’t have to keep track of how many times you used a certain syringe! Hope this helps and once again I’m no expert but I have some experience.
You are a wonderful person. Our world needs more people like you.
Thank you
You're amazing, Hannah! Your videos are so informative.
My goodness Kabu was just too much this video 😂😂
THANK YOU!!! My one kitten was being difficult to feed but waking him with a gentle grooming and then feeding him helped!
They're so wiggly and precious I can't handle it 😭😭😭
Thank you for all your information. I have been given an abandoned kitten and we are on day three with a 1-2 week old. I am so tired but refer to you for help, encouragement and tips. I was so excited when my kitten pooped x keep doing what you are doing you are making a difference to kittens you will never see…wish us luck and thank you again x
good luck with your kitten and if your going to keep her please spay her cats die by giveing birth.
Thank You Hannah for all you do and all you share!
This video helped us out a lot with feeding anxiety we started to have. Our 2 week old kittens are eating more and easier than before. The swaddling, competition feeding and having stuffed animals really helped. Thank you so much for your videos and support!!
It's always good to know this stuff 😸
I love Kabu so much. I didn't think I could like anyone more than Rey and then Miss Kabu comes along! And I'm sure there will be many more to come.
When she fell asleep I died out of cuteness 🥰🥰😭
Was Kitten Lady talking? I was overwhelmed by all the cuteness!!!

🤩🤩😇😇😻😻
Thank you so much. This may be a literal life-saver for the little babe we are trying to bottle feed.
2:10 I could not stop watching that kitten fall over!
2:12 Nuuuuu my heart :,) so cute
Thank you for the tips Kitten Lady! I'm on day one of fostering my first kittens and they are struggling to adjust to the bottle. This video gave me lots of ideas to help them. I hope by tomorrow they will be doing much better at it!
