I feel better. I have several "collections" as a crafter. It looks like a mess to everybody else, but I know where everything is and what to do with it, just "don't have time" to use all of it. I have been told before it is not a hoarder situation by a person who cleans out hoarder homes. She said it is organized mess so don't worry about it. There are no empty food containers or bugs or rats or anything, so just enjoy it. I don't buy much any more and am trying to use it up. Just keeping the door shut and lock it when company comes. I love my stuff.

My downfall is I box it up, and put it away with the intent to donate but before I get it out of the house, I forget what is there and have to through it again, just in case my projects have changed and I might use it now!! And you're right about the commitment but it goes both ways. Commitment to caring for stuff gets me in trouble because I'm afraid to use it in case what I make isn't good enough or I commit to getting rid of stuff and am afraid I may "need" it later! I have learned to make a shopping list but not order it for a while if it isn't something I actually need "right this minute!!" I'm getting better and not collecting duplicates or waiting until I run out to get more. It's helping but "my cup still overflows"!! TFS 😁🥰🤪

I have a goal every year to not shop and only use what I have. I always break down and buy something. I’ll take this video as inspiration to spring clean my collection 😀

My sister is a hoarder but she hoards new stuff. She doesnt keep trash. But her hoard is in sane.
