    Glad I seen this vid,I was thinking of changing to a mariner 6, they seem a pretty reliable engine….tight lines

      Thanks 😊, yes it has been great for me so far. I'd like a bit more power but the next sizes up are a fair bit heavier and less portable.

    Great vid very useful as my mercury 6hp is pretty much identical. Nice to hear the birds in the background to ha 😀. I usually give mine a quick spray and rub down with duck oil after its flushed I guess this doesn't hurt. Keep up the good work many thanks.

      Thanks Alex, yeah they are great little outboards! Where do you get the duck oil?

    It comes with an attachment to connect a hose so you can run a continuous clean supply through it without starting the motor.

      Hi, unfortunately, my one does not have that hosepipe attachment. Would be really nice to have that!

    Nice Videa mate, you think this is big/reliable enough to power a 3.65m sib at sea?

      Hi, yes I use it on my Honwave t32. Ideal on calm flat days.

      Hi David, yeah I love it so far. Portability was the most important thing for me.

    Hi
    I’ve got the exact same engine it’s great
    What external tank/ pipe have you got ? that’s my next purchase
    Thanks

      Hi Dave, yeah its a great little engine. I have the quicksilver 12 litre tank with a gauge, and just a mariner compatible fuel line with the quick release connectors.

    Hi Adam , have you ever or heard of anyone trying the hangkai engines on Amazon and eBay or would you avoid them? Thanks

      Hi, I haven't used one before, but I've seen some good reviews online. From what I can tell they are an ok brand. 👍

    Hi can you get away with a (4hp mariner) long shaft for occasional (slowish) use on the HON T32? -Thanks

    • @inflatableangling
      @inflatableangling  Рік тому +1

      Hi, it will work in flat calm conditions only, but it's not ideal. You really want short shaft so that the prop is in the correct position and 4hp will struggle against the tide.

      @@inflatableangling Hi thanks for the reply buddy - it's for occasional fresh water loch use (no tides and always nearish shore)...but I get your drift! - it's just because I have a 4HP for my wee day boat and wanted to get "double" use from the engine...Thanks! While you are here the T32 AIRWAVE says can take 5 adults? looks a bit tight - you reckon it will take 4 with minimal gear (not for fishing) just pleasure - I am torn between the different Honda sizes...would ideally like to take 4 passengers total including myself but also want minimal weight/size and I know it's a trade off. Thanks Again (and sorry for long winded post but you have the experience!) 👍👍

      No problem at all, glad to help. You can get 4 adults in a t32. It will be a tight squeeze but doable.

      Hi Adam, I use it on a 3.2m Honwave inflatable boat. It goes really well on there.

    wish i got a 6hp instead of 9.9 9.9 is about 100 pounds heavy and not fun to carry and move around

    • @inflatableangling
      @inflatableangling  2 роки тому

      Yeah it's a trade off between portability and power. I wanted to be able to easily carry the motor on my own.

      @@inflatableangling yeah.. plus it's mostly only me on a 12 foot inflatable boat so me alone with medium light fishing gear I go pretty fast and my 9.9 2021 tohatsu is fuel injection so it's good on gas.. but I should of got a 6hp it's plenty enough power for my needs and don't mind a carburetor 6hp just need to clean the carb once a while.
