Hi Adam, I am torn between the yam 310 air v and the honwave T32 ie3. There is lots of videos on the howave and they get great reviews but I think the yam is a better looking boat, and is lighter. You heared if the yam is any good or not? I have a brand new Yamaha 9.9 to go on the back but still undecided.
Hi!, thanks for the comment! I highly rate the Yam sibs. I'd put them in the top 3 manufacturers. I went for the honwave in the end as that was my number 1 😄 The 9.9 will be perfectly matched with a yam 310! 👍
Why don't you push it into the water backwards, with wheels going forward?
One of the main reasons I launch Bow first is for me it is easier when it is rougher and the waves were bigger. It also means you don't need to do a 180 turn in the shallows, you can just jump in and move forward. Thanks for your comment!
Who can tell me something about the boat Excel Volante 330?
Excellent sibs. All Excel sibs are highly rated.
It comes with an attachment to connect a hose so you can run a continuous clean supply through it without starting the motor.
Hi, unfortunately, my one does not have that hosepipe attachment. Would be really nice to have that!
Nice video pal , can I ask what make wheels your using as they don't seem to interfere with the bottom of the boat and the Honda ones are £200 😳😳 Thanks 😊
Hi, Thank you! Glad you enjoyed watching! The wheels I have now are Ceredi up and over wheels, but I'd recommend these ones instead though as they are better than the Ceredi ones I have: www.ebay.co.uk/itm/335129636644?var=544362560020&gad_source=1&mkevt=1&mkcid=1&mkrid=710-53481-19255-0&campid=5338723872&toolid=20006&customid=SpVpUpMgAAAA93pRQnx2BJf43AVBAAAAAA
What do you think of the seapro boats please
Hi, I have not personally tested the SeaPro boats, but they look like a good option. They have airfloor and alu floor options, but im not seeing a V floor option? They look like a pretty good alternative sib to the well known brands.
Thank you...
You're welcome! Hope you found these tips helpful!
Some Chinese manufacturers use treated/painted wooden floors instead of ally floors. And now they are using airfloors that come out the boat (seperate to the boat) like a thin paddleboard insert.
Yep, you are correct again. A very wide variety to choose from. I decided to stick with the tried and tested design from one of the top manufacturers for this reason. 👌
I was comparing two 3.8M sibs over the week end and exactly the same boats with 2 different names. One was called a Vevor and the other name was a Bris. Identical sibs made in the same Chinese factory.
Hi, thanks for your comment! Yeah, it's very difficult to do an accurate comparison 😕 There are many different resellers using the same base sibs from larger suppliers. As you've discovered! Hope you manage to find the right one for your needs.
Hello, great video thank you for posting! May I ask you if you need a license or any kind of paperwork for a boat/motor/fishing at the sea? Thank you!
Hi, it depends on which country you are in, but in the UK, you need a Ship Portable Radio Licence for your VHF Radio. You can also do several different powerboat courses that train you up and provide a licence, but that is not required by law.
Launch the boat rear-first and you won't need to go knee-high in the water, just use wellies.
Hi, yeah I do agree. A good discussion point. One of the main reasons I launch Bow first is for me it was easier when it was rougher and the waves were bigger. It also means you don't need to do a 180 turn in the shallows, you can just jump in and move forward. Thanks for your comment!
How much total pro???
Hi, brand new roughly the price will be: the sib is £1200, 6hp 4 stroke outboard £1000, transom wheels, £80-£100, garmin fish finder £180.
Tip 6... Wear a life jacket, not a buoyancy aid
Yes, very important. I've upgraded to a Crewsaver 2024 Crewfit 165N Sport Life Jacket.
What clothing do you wear on the boat? Waders, drysuit etc? I’ve seen so many debates in forums in terms of safety of waders and drysuit being too sweaty that I’m stuck what to buy. I’ll be beach launching, not sure if you always beach launch or use a slipway but just trying to figure out what works for ppl?
Hi, great question! I wear thigh high waders to do the launch and landing. Once I'm on board I roll them down or take them off entirely. I dont usually go out in the depths of winter as it's just too cold for me, so I don't personally use a dry suit. I go for several layers on my upper body so that I can take some off if it is getting too warm. On my legs I wear splash proof hiking trousers from Revolution Race. They are very comfy and breathable but also very tough. In summer I always have a sun hat and plenty of suncream! Obviously I always wear a life jacket or pfd. 👍
@@inflatableangling Great 👍🏻 thanks for that, I was looking at chest and waist waders, and still deciding atm, drysuit just looks a bit of a faff imo but seems popular among sibbers.
There is a lot of conflicting info and opinions out there regarding chest waders. I'd stay on the safe side and not wear chest waders on a sib. The RNLI advises against wearing chest waders on a boat due to the risk they pose if you fall into the water. When filled with water, chest waders can become heavy and increase the risk of drowning by hindering movement and causing drag.
@@inflatableangling yeah I’m looking at waist waders tbh, it’s a happy medium for me, also chest waders maybe a bit restrictive in the sib, waist waders seem better for me, I did look at thigh waders.
@@inflatableangling Be good to see what fishing tackle you use, rods etc, I’m looking at similar size sib and outboard setup as you 👍🏻
Hi would you be able to send me some information - do you need a boat license or any other paperwork to use you boat from the beach thanks 🙏
What is the price of this boat? With all the equipment? thanks
Hi, brand new roughly the price will be: the sib is £1200, 6hp 4 stroke outboard £1000, transom wheels, £80-£100, garmin fish finder £180.
Great wee video 👍🏻Whats the make of wheels you have ?
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed watching. The wheels are Ceredi Stainless Steel Up & Over Launching Wheels
I'd recommend these one though as they are better than the Ceredi ones I have: www.ebay.co.uk/itm/335129636644?var=544362560020&gad_source=1&mkevt=1&mkcid=1&mkrid=710-53481-19255-0&campid=5338723872&toolid=20006&customid=SpVpUpMgAAAA93pRQnx2BJf43AVBAAAAAA

Thanks for an interesting video 👍👍 now I´m more into buying inflatable boat with an aluminium floor ☀😎

Brilliant video! I've subscribed. Can I ask how long your 7.0AH Battery lasts with your striker pinging away?
Thank you! Much appreciated! The battery lasts for absolutely ages! I've been out for over 5 hours and it didn't run out.
Arent air floor a night are for fishing? Wont they just puncture constantly?
Hi, no not really. In 4 years, I've only had one puncture. I also use a rubber mat that covers most of the floor to prevent punctures etc. If you are careful then it's not a problem 👌
You have the same setup as me, same sib outbound etc, interesting to see how u do everything!
Hi, it's a great setup isn't it! Does really well in so many different situations! Thanks for your comment 👍
What kind of mat do you have?
Hi, it's a car boot mat from B&M. Fits nicely. www.bmstores.co.uk/products/rac-protective-car-boot-mat-391176?srsltid=AfmBOopJhWP3AEiolCAUCIT5zfvA15RvRK0GTfM5P8I-fpXZ6tWkDDar
@@inflatableangling no way :)
@@inflatableangling What a great idea! I've just got back from a weekend with my Honwave 3.8 and could really have done with one of these!!
Yes! It's been worth it's weight in gold! Especially when I'm fishing for Bass!
@@inflatableanglingdid you have to trim it to fit your boat?
I’d turn the engine off when you bring the wheels up. If you lean on the gear lever or the boat rocks and you knock it with your hand down there it could end badly.
Hi, yes you are right to think of safety first. The release catch for the wheels is a good distance away from the prop, so my hand is not actually that close as it may seem. It's a small risk, but better safe than sorry.
Very informative for new SIB owners! Nice work
Thank you! Appreciate the comment.
I had a 6hp on my SIB bought it brand new in June , got rid of it after the 3rd outing they are very noisy , now running a 9.9 and it’s so much better plus boat planes instantly I’m running a 3D tender 300 V . Should’ve done my homework before purchasing the motor , single cylinder outboards will drive you insane with noise :) . Dig the videos , I’m in Gosport/portsmouth .
Hi, thanks for your comment! Yeah I went for the 6hp mostly for the smaller size and weight. I wanted it to fit in the back of my car and not break my back each time I carry it. You are right though, a 9.9 is probably the sweet spot for noise and getting up on plane instantly. Maybe I'll have to upgrade! 😄😅
@@inflatableangling I too at first was all about the weight and believe it or not this all fits in my VW Polo :) , the 6hp was 26kgs the 9.9 is around 36kgs it’s definitely a big difference to carry but found it was worth it . Thanks for the reply keep up the great videos .
Honda 4/5/6 has no vibration the engine is isolated with a rubber mount to the tiller and clamp.
@@JerryCzarnecki-u9d wasn’t talking about vibration buddy , I’m talking about the noise of the engine the single cylinders db are way more than the larger double cylinders
Great Video 👍
Thank you 😊
nice vid, but couldn't help notice the bolts sticking through the transom hahah, please cut them down and stick rubber caps on them :)
Haha! Yes, you are right! I really do need to do this! 😅
@@inflatableanglingI cutting them down with a grinder but make sure cover all inside the boat just in case some sparks from the grinder burn your boat.
Or use a junior hacksaw

I’m new so all good advice , I’m I also right I can only use upto 10hp without a powerboat license
Hi, thanks for watching! I could be wrong, but I don't think the powerboat licence is required by law, but it's a very good idea to do it if you are going to use bigger boats and bigger engines sizes.
In che zona geografica siete? Avete pescato bene? Saluti dalla Sicilia Italia
Hi, I am in the UK, on the East Coast of Essex and Suffolk. We get some lovely Bass here!
What kind of licence do you need when you have a inflatable boat with a small engine?
Hi, this will depend heavily on which country you are in. Can only speak about UK waters. Some parts of the UK require you to register a sib and outboard when in harbours/ports and also some freshwater rivers and broads also require you to register your boat. Many other parts of the UK coast and sea do not require any licence for your boat. So you just have to look at your local area and see what the law is there. You do always need to register your VHF radio though, so make sure you do that.
@@inflatableangling Thank you. I live in the UK and ordered a 3 persons inflatable boat with a little electrical engine. I wouldn't have a radio
Complete noob here, just wondering how stable the air floor is to stand on compared to the aluminium ones?
Hi, the air floors are stable to stand on, even the air V floors are ok, but of course none of the air floors are as stable as the alu floors.
Cheers thanks for the reply. @@inflatableangling
Excellent, I just ordered a VHF radio!
Well done! Essential piece of safety kit when out on the water. 👍
BREATHING HEAVILY WHEN CARING THAT LIGHT WEIGHT MOTOR ... YOU SHOULD GO WALKING + RUNNING FOR YOUR CARDIO OR ROWING THAT TIME NOT FISHING BAD ❤❤❤ HEARTH
Haha, thank you. 😀
OK Health expert 🙄 lol
I did this. It worked. Rather than one of those plastic clip luggage strap, I used cam buckle strap, seemed like the safer option. I put bits of rubber between transducer and tube as well as between cam buckle and tube. Used a plastic food tub for the battery just like this, padding it out inside with stiff foam to hold the battery tight. I screwed the Garmin mount into the tub lid and then strapped the battery tub onto the boat's bench, with a piece of rubber mat beneath it to hold it in place. I also put another strap around the box and mount in the other direction for insurance on the mount. I didn't get any image when moving at speed, were it mounted on the transom more towards the keel I suspect I'd have better chance of that. But you're typically not looking for fish at high throttle, right? I did all this, and through no fault of the unit, I STILL DIDN'T CATCH ANY FISH YESTERDAY arrrgh. It's not a magic box that will get you fish. It just tells you that fish are "around", because they are already gone from the spot you see them at. Marking a waypoint and trying (difficult) to head back to it does not do it. Also - 7ah battery didn't last nearly as much as I'd hoped - power the unit down and do periodic checks or processes rather than just leaving it on.
Thanks for the write up! Very good to hear that it went OK for you. I typically only use it at low speed or when drifting to get the depth and to see what the seabed is doing. It's great for showing you hidden features, holes or structure down there that could hold fish. When there are a few fish directly below you then you will 100% see them as well!
All good tips. I would add: although the anchor goes over the bow when it is in use, stow it at the stern when not in use. It clatters about less. Those hinged wheels can be left in the neutral position so that they float on the surface of the water. Ever so slightly more drag than if they are fully raised, but they are less likely to be in the way of the engine when doing tight manoeuvres, and they are quicker to deploy when coming into the shallows solo. On a windy day, at very slow speed, the propeller effect makes the boat easier to turn one way than the other. Work with it: it's sometimes better to do an easy 270 degree turn than fight the wind to turn 90 degrees. Some boats have a drainage valve in the transom. Don't leave it open at low speeds or when anchored. Check and clean it from time to time. If you're setting up a boat with a sectional wooden floor, put the bow up on something (the fuel tank is ideal) before putting the last 2 sections in place.
Excellent advice 👌 thank you!
Hello m8. I saw your mounting fish finder video that you made a year ago. Where you're strapping the transducer around the tube at the back. Did that work out OK for you? I'm going to be drilling my transom to mount it at some point, but for just this weekend I'm going to try mounting it like you did. Any issues with doing it the way you did? Thx for replies.
Hi, thanks for your question. Yes it works really well for me! I still use it like that with the strap now and not had any issues at all.
Sorry please put the right boat weights on your videos. As people will buy on videos like this. A quick google will do the job.
Hi, can you please let me know which ones are incorrect? I used the net weight of each boat fully set up, direct from each manufacturers' websites.
I would be interested to know what SIB/Outboard combination you would recommend for use by a photographer on rivers, primarily the Norfolk Broads (mostly 6mph limit I believe). One/Two man boats that can be carried in the back of car, assembled by one man and launched/retrieved by one man on a public slipway. The boat would need to carry 150kg (man and kit) and occasionally an additional passenger (70Kg). Any suggestions?
Hi, thanks for your question. I'd personally recommend the Honwave T27 IE V floor with a 3.5 hp 4 stroke outboard for your situation. This would be suitable for use on the Norfolk Broads (you would need a bigger outboard if you want to go out to sea though). It is light enough for you to set up and launch solo. It will also pack down well and should fit in the back of most cars with the rear seats down.
@@inflatableangling Thanks! I shall have to investigate further... 🙂
genial analisis
Not sure what you mean?
Very helpful and I will make some changes as a result of your advice. I would add - tell some one whee you are going, when you expect to be back and what to do if you over run by an agreed time.
Yes that is excellent advice! Thank you for your comment! Glad you found the video useful 👍
Aluminium floor if you have a trailer and air floor if not
Hi, yes that seems to be the way to do it. Most people I see do it that way 😀
Air Floor vs Aluminium Floor >?

All you want is Honwave, amazing boats, handle the water really well and a great price 👍😅
Yeah, they do indeed mate! thanks for the comment 👍 love your new boat!
Hi Adam. Mind if I add to this? As the owner of Inflatable Boat Fishing Ltd and having designed the Hydrus boats. It doesn't look like you have done any research on these boats what so ever. Firstly the 3.3m air deck Hydrus starts at £1109 NOT £1200 putting it priced in 1st place . The 3.7m ally deck starts at £1319 NOT £1600 placing it in 5th place price-wise. In regards to weight. You also failed to mention that both of these SIBs are available in two carry bags halving the weight for both of them. A very important thing to consider when buying a SIB. It's a shame as you've never owned a Hydrus. You haven't even mentioned Boatworld SIBs. Probably the most well known out of all inflatable boats in the UK. I think you need to go back to the drawing board Adam. Just my opinion.
Thank you for your input. I highly value your opinion. I did do alot of research and I used your website as the source for prices and weights of the Hydrus models. I formed my opinion based on the Pro versions of each for the price which is accurate, I felt that the Lite options, although very good, are actually a replica of the H1 model and are lacking the addons which make your Hydrus H7 Pro such a great offering! For the weight I used the total weight of the boat when set up to compare with the others in the list. I do however really like the two bags you offer for ease of transport. I didn't include Boatworld sibs in my list, perhaps I should have, but I just felt in my own opinion that they are not quite in the top 5 for mid range sibs right at this time. Once again, thank you for your comment. Really appreciate it 😀
@@inflatableangling yes, but although the lite models lack the features that are on the Pro, theres still more than on any of the other SIBs in this list that MOSTLY dont have any!
Maybe you should have listed the price range of all SIBs that are available in each brand? The top 10 would have been far more accurate.
That would be a very long video 🤣 This is just my own opinion used to form a focused comparison of mid range medium sized sibs. I picked 1 air floor and 1 alu floor option that fits this focused analysis from each of the 5 manufacturers. Prices and stats were taken directly from each manufacturers website.
Yep did the wheels down one, only took half a mile to realise why my 6hp yam wasn't performing well 🫤😉❤️
Yep :) I think everyone makes that mistake at least once!
Sadly I've been there too; still can't really believe it; the tyre marks across the sandbanks have probably faded by now, thank goodness !!
