The Inflammasome

- When you get a bacterial infection, the immune response needs to be very rapid. But it can take hours to sense a threat, and generating effector proteins in response takes time. Luckily, we all have large protein complexes called inflammasomes that can also initiate inflammation. What are these made of? What types exist? How do they function? Let's get a closer look?

Would really like to see the rest of this playlist when you get a chance to create it! Covering this now in medical school.
This is so trivial and yet I imagine that it’s cumulative for decades of research and thousands of researchers who have found many pieces of the puzzle 🧩 so that Pr. Dave can explain us so easily… I can’t imagine how long it took him to learn about it in a manner that is making him so amazing at teaching us back!!!
Sometimes I get so busy and overwhelmed with my actual homework that I get behind watching Dave's science videos. Today I was able to catch up/ re-watch this whole immunology playlist. Ready and looking forward to new future immunology content! (and pharmacology, and history of drugs, and zoology, and mycology, etc., all the science)
Can't wait for the rest of the series 🙏🏻
Wow this is brilliant! Thank you so much Professor Dave!
Thank you. This was great.
More immunology content pleasss
This is such a helpful video, much gratitude!
@dave waiting for the rest of the series. How long do you take to learn such topics before making videos. Do you have a big team for video making?
Geez! I've stumbled across a few of your videos from time to time.
And used them for some kids I "tutor" (hang out with online).
Yesterday learned about "electromagnetic radiation",
hard for a ten-year-old to pronounce! But opens many doors.
Today we stumbled upon this GIGANTIC body of work of yours!
And, your music channel to boot!
As we say in English, imprecazioni cancellate!
More to the point .... my family has to learn a lot about inflammasomes pronto.
So this is great.
perfect professor
🦠Prof. Dave, please finish this awesome series! 🙏I'm studying for the MCAT and while this may be more in-depth than I need for the exam, I know I'll be referencing this series in medical school! Thank you so much for the first 3 parts of this immunology series! 🙌
It’s coming soon!
@@ProfessorDaveExplains yaaayyyyyyyyy
@@ProfessorDaveExplainsdo you have an estimation of when? Love the series ❤
We have entered the inflammazone
do you have the meaning of our existence?
the inflammasome looks so badass
Pleaaaaase finish this series
Starting up again real soon!
@@ProfessorDaveExplains YAY! I’ve been using this series to study for my PhD qualifying exams and it’s been an invaluable resource to bounce my research ideas off
Great video DAVE!!! Sorry Globebuster video reference. Oh my comment.. I wish I had got into Chemistry this stuff is fascinating even though I don't no anything about chemistry but the way you explain it I do kind of understand it just a bit better. Thanks DAVE!!! LOL 🤣😆
amazing information.. Thanks
This is an amazing Video. (Just like all ur other vids) Thank u for uploading this lesson.2nd comment😁
Thank you.
thanks a lot. you are inimitable.
Explain Dihydrogen Monoxide is that just water?
You're my go-to youtuber for any kind of information, as per the video; great as always
Convenient timing
This video of Bacteria scares me.
Thank you Professor Dave! This video was great
Thanks!
I tried ... I don't understand enough to know what you're talking about. That's okay. They aren't all geared to my ignorance!
Maybe try going through the biochemistry series.
You had the patience to sit through this without understanding some things, I am confident you have the capability to learn anything here you didnt know. You got this!
I typed "chemistry jesus" to find this channel
