So glad I came across this video. Your recording tutorials for Garageband iOS are EXTREMELY helpful!!
Thanks! Very glad to hear. More info always available here. studiolivetoday.com/garageband
Awesome--I finally got all this gear, hooked it up and have two separate tracks for my foot and banjo--killer! Thanks--I'd be lost without your vids!
Awesome!! Thanks for letting me knowz
You’re fun to watch, Pete. No nonsense, just info! Thanks.
Thanks Robert. Appreciate your support as always.
Thank you so much ... you are such a good teacher Pete, I’ve so enjoyed your UA-cam channel....particularly during these challenging Covid days and during lockdown. You’ve helped me set up my home recording studio, and I’m really enjoying recording... mainly vocals and keys with my hubby... You are fabulous 😃
Thanks so much Hilary. Really appreciate your kind words and support. 👍
Hey Pete, you are a great teacher. You have a very concise manner which really helps me get it. Well done brother. I just subscribed, and look forward to seeing your work. You do have a knack. I really dig it, thank you.

Bless you sir, for these great videos!!
Thank you for watching and for your kind words. 👍
Great video Pete, and a great song too, top job
Cheers Doug! Always a pleasure to hear from you sir. 👍
I had to watch a bunch of videos. But, this one answers my questions! I am using a single MV88+ and Motiv app. Thinking of upgrading my recordings using my existing DAW and Microphones. This seems a little complex to mobile. But, I could set up a jam space. Thanks again!
Nice one my friend. Good luck with it.
Really enjoyed this video. It's not something I'd probably do (I'm mainly into contra dance music - no vocals) but find it fascinating to see you put it all together. Really like the acoustic sound. The guitar compliments your voice very well. Thanks for the video.
Thanks Judi. Really appreciate it, and thanks for visiting the archives! This one’s from a while back.
This was an awesome demo! Thanks so much! Great job!
Cheers Laura! Appreciate the kind words. 👍
Wow! Great sound!

Dear Pete,
This is a well explaining video. And a very nice song that you’ve sung in it. I like your intimate voice, which fits well to the theme.
Kind regards to you all the way from Hamburg in Germany, Mario Stresow.
Thanks so much Mario. Welcome to the community and hope to see you around the channel more in the future.
Very nice song, sitting in the conservatory wishing you’d had it finished for this very chilled bank holiday Monday.
Haha! Sorry Alan. Only a few days away! Thanks for your support as always.
thoroughly enjoyed this video!! never knew you could record 4 multiple tracks at once!! you just got a subscriber!! me and my band are currently trying to record our own song by ourselves, and this helped tremendously!
Excellent to hear! Very glad it was able to help you out. Make sure you send me a link when your band records a song - always keen to hear what folks produce. 👍

A rather sweet song Pete. Listening to the performance rather than scoring your technique out of ten, bubbles along nicely I thought. Take care.
Cheers my friend.
Hey I just come to see the review but them got carried away, great performance all in all Pete 👌😁
Cheers my friend. Yes; I haven’t ever got around to doing a full review of the UR44 because not many folks are actually looking for an Audio Interface with four mic preamps. I love the flexibility of it thought!
Bro your sick mán Good job
Cheers my friend. 👍
First things first, fantastic song and performance 🎤❤️🎸👌Great video, thanks for sharing 👍So far all my videos have been recorded with just an iPad, iPhone and a PA system with no mic’s, but about a month ago I bought the UR44 and the Lightning Cable because I needed to record some tracks for someone and they need it recorded with 4 tracks in garage band. I’m an old school tech dummy ( just a step ahead of the smoke single era🥴😁) and I’ve been trying to figure out how to do this ever since, or if it could even be done. Just done a recording and it worked perfectly 👍Thanks again👌Subscribed🛎Greetings from NL Canada🇨🇦
Lindsay Brown Drums hello my friend!! Thank you so much for watching and taking the time to comment. So glad the video was able to hurl you out. It’s pretty amazing what we can do these days on our iPhones and iPads!!
This is great! This is where I'm going. My only question is about how a piezo pickup sounds when direct in but that's something that I'll find out myself! Thanks!
Yes, good question! It’s pretty hit and miss and requires some experimentation when going in direct from pickups. Best of luck to you!
@@PeteJohnsMusic Thanks!!

Very useful video, thanks for uploading it. ‘m also planning to purchase an UR 44.
But I have two questions: is the poeered usb hub neccessary in this setup and why?
How about the build in dsp effects of the UR 44? Did you ever use them?
Hi there. Thanks for watching and for your questions.
1. No, the powered hub isn’t needed for this. I just had it plugged this way because I was also recording some tracks using a USB MIDI keyboard and didn’t want to be plugging and unplugging. Because the UR44 is mains powered you can connect directly to the iPad via the Lightning to USB adapter.
2. I haven’t actually used the built in effects yet. I believe these are only available in standard mode (not Class Compliant as needed for iOS) so will have to give them a try on my PC one day soon. I think I need a firmware update for the UR44 too but have heard others have had issues after this wig iOS compatibility.
Hope this helps!
Now to me that was really good Pete! When I dropped what I now call the crap of doing things one at a time It was very liberating and I actually had fun playing again!!! That actually sounded great!
Thanks Tim! I probably should have picked an easier song to play on guitar to demo this but glad it came out okay. Fingerstyle is not my strong suit! 😊
I wonder how might be the best way to record this way? Do a few takes and use the best parts?
It’s a good question Tim. I’m putting the song together at the moment and I did try to use these recordists but there were too many bits I didn’t like. I would probably need to okay it close to perfectly or do a few takes like you mentioned.
Sorry I keep adding additional reply’s but as you can tell right now I’m in this phase of just enjoying the realism and ambiance that recording this way provides. I am looking forward now to hearing how you might bring the more isolated sounds of the drums etc into the mix. I hope everything works well together. Thanks.
It prob sound crazy and backwards to you but that is how I seem to do things. I hate to sing and play acoustic guitar (my main instrument) separately. When I play I want to sing/when I sing I want to play? It’s an old habit I guess. I do like playing independently along with my already recorded guitar and singing along already recorded recorded voice though. Like you’ve done before which is to use your scratch vocal buried in the mix I want to try using my original guitar/vocal buried in the mix then sing and play over them. More tracks bigger sound?
Liked!
Thank you! Much appreciated. 👍🤟
Nice voice bro ❤ love from India

Thank you so much @Pete Johns for this video. Hope you can answer my question newbie to recording I want to purchase Focusrite Scarlette 18i8 that has 8 inputs. Can garageband record 8 tracks at the same time?TIA
Hey there. Yes, as long as the interface is class compliant and your iPad or iPhone can handle it (reasonably modern) you can record as many tracks as you have.
ua-cam.com/video/l3xDq-bnwK8/v-deo.html
Thank you for this video. Your song comes right out of the heart. nice!
This is the mike-setting I also use, recording guitar and vocals.
By seeing this video you convinced me multitrack recording on ipad is serious!
One note: I would recommend to push up the input volume a littlebit.
Your signals are quite low, so noise can occur after boosting the signals.
Thanks so much for watching and for your feedback. Yes, you’re spot on / these were tracked too low. When I returned to record the track I dialled the input gain up quite a bit.
You can hear the finished track from my album here - ua-cam.com/video/mLCjHCfHLx0/v-deo.html
Hello Pete, thank you so much! i learned alot with your videos.
do you know what is the top of multiple channels to record at the same time on GB ios ?
Hey there. So it depends on your hardware. I have used up to 6 tracks and I know others who have recorded 8. Any more than that might push the iPad a little too much.
Hey how did you get those markers on the top where it shows the numbers of bars? Great videos btw keep it up!
Hey there. They should actually just show up by default. It does depend how many bars you have in your song though. 8 bars will show all the numbers while longer songs will show intervals of bars depending how many there are.
I've searched your uploads, the missing tutorial I'd LOVE to see is the level testing you mention at the 6:00 min mark. This is a critical technique for someone that might be quickly jumping back and forth between different mics or instruments. Do you have that embedded somewhere in a different video?
Hey there my friend. So, there’s a couple of videos which might give you some of what you’re looking for which I’ll link below.

Thanks Sir for your demonstration. One More Thing, i need your valuable suggestion, What will be the output of the I rig Pro DUO device for 2 track recording(Guitar and Vocal)? Can you give any suggestions on this? thanks again for your video and sorry for my bad English.
You’re welcome. The iRig Pro Duo is a great interface and connects using either lightning or USB. I have the single channel version and you can check out a video about it here - ua-cam.com/video/jkAGVKOtguo/v-deo.html
Nice song, yo!!do you usually use ipad iso or do you switch it to a different computer? you gotta sound cloud?
Hey there. Yep, you can check out my Soundcloud at soundcloud.com/PeteJohns or just search “Pete Johns” on Spotify, Apple Music, Google Play etc.
Love your videos brother and thank you for helping me out thus far!! When I search online for the Steinberg UR44 another version keeps popping up, the Steinberg UR44c. Is this the same device or different and if different how do they differ?
Hey there. Yes, it is the updated version of the UR44. Very similar to the original in terms of quality and features, but uses a USB-C connection instead of the old USB-A/B plug. Definitely a great unit still.
@@PeteJohnsMusic brother you’ve been more then helpful! I’ll go with the UR44c cause I’ll be using it with my iPad Air gen 5. I wouldn’t need a phantom power supply right or will I still need one of those as well?
Hi, I enjoyed the video, I would like to ask if the UR44 will provide separate tracks on the garage band for me. I want to being a 3 man podcast and I’m having trouble making separate tracks for the 3 microphones connected to the mixer
Yes. As I showed on the video you Dan record all 6 inputs separately on separate tracks.
This is wot I was looking for Pete great stuff mate 👌 so all I need to get is the steinburg 44 an I can record 3or 4 instruments at the same time , I thought you could only record 2 tracks on GarageBand band at the same time , was that cos I was using the ur 12 ?
Hey there mate. Yep, GarageBand will support as many tracks as you have on your interface, so sounds like the UR44 might be the interface for you.
There’s also the new 44C which doesn’t have a lot of extra features but is USB 3.1.

Maravilhoso! Help me a lot. And i dont speak english kkkkkkkk
Excellent! Glad it helped you. Thanks for watching and commenting. 👍
@Pete Johns Is it also possible to record hardware synth like the korg minilogue ???

I really like your tutorial sir hehehe and you got a nice voice and guitar playing! Ahm sir, does focusrite support the old garageband version? The ios 12 version
Hi there. Yes, the Focusrite Scarlett interfaces are class compliant and will work with pretty much any version of iOS and Garageband.
Pete Johns okay sir, thank you
Great video and performance!! I have a question, do you know if the TASCAM US-4x4 is also compatible to record four tracks simultaneously in iOS??
Hey there. Yes, I believe this interface is class compliant so should work though I haven’t personally tested it.
@@PeteJohnsMusic Thank you so much!
Hello Pete,
First of all, i love what you have done with your youtube account! You provide a wealth of knowledge for people when it comes to recording!
I have browsed all over the internet, and all over your videos, but i can not seem to find the anwer for my question.
I have an "Alesis Multimix8USBFX" which is an 8 channel mixer/USB Recording Interface.
I am not able to get my Ipad to recognize more than 2 Channels.
The ipad only recognizes Input 1, Input 2, Stereo when it comes channels.
I am very confused because i do not know how to be able to have my ipad identify more channels.
If you have any advice, i would really appreciate it!
Thank you for everything you have done!
Hey there. It may be that the mixer only has stereo output? Many mixers have multiple inputs but only stereo outputs. Check out this video for info - ua-cam.com/video/1VC1Dho7nh0/v-deo.html
@@PeteJohnsMusic Thanks Pete, this Mixer is listed as a "8 channel mixer/usb recording interface"
I guess i took the "Recording interface" and assumed that it was the same as a audio interface.
Thanks!
Hi Pete,
I was wondering if you've come across this in your travels. I have a scarlet 2i2 and a Lightning to USB 3 Adapter and its great with one xlr plugged but when I plug another xlr (coming out of my pedal board for my acoustic) into channel 2 I get the dreaded 'Scarlett 2i2 USB: This requires too much power' message. I can however use both channels if I bypass my pedal board and go directly from my guitar with a guitar cable. I was hoping to use my reverbs and shimmer effects on the pedal board though. My board has a TCHelicon Play Acoustic, an RV-6 reverb and tuner and is powered by a DC Cloks power supply. Its as if the ipad thinks it needs to power all that stuff as well? Sorry for the short novel you've had to read. :) And thanks for all you do!
edit: I should add that can run the guitar pedal board by itself but then I cant use the my NT1 mic.
edit: LOL after all that I just worked out I need a powered usb hub from you're other videos! I used your link to get the Belkin hub.
Thanks Pete.
Hey Kieran. Wow! I love it when my other videos answer my questions for me.
Eventually I hope to have an answer for every question in video form. 😄
Glad you are up and running. I was just getting ready to send you my USB hub video. 😊
I think you may already have it mate. Your channel is plethora of great info and answers! Love it!
Cheers my friend. 👍
HELP! I have an 2017 Ipad Pro 10.5” i’m looking to record 6-8ch of mics to a time to track a mic’d up kit, I would like to stick to the garageband app, is this possible with the correct usb interface or digital mixer?
Hey there. Yes, as long as you use a mixer or interface which is class compliant you can record as many channels as you need. The only limitation in the iPhone/iPad, it the 2017 pro should handle 8 tracks.
I use a Stienberg UR44. It that’s only 4 mic pres plus a stereo line in. Something like the Focusrite Scarlett 18i8 would be good.
Hello! Very useful video. Just wanna know what went wrong in our setup.
We are currenty using Alto 1604 (16 channel mixer) and connected it with ipad pro using USB connection to mixer. but it only recognizes 2 inputs, regardless if we plug in 4 or 6. Also input to garageband has very low volume and almost doesn’t record. Can you help us out?
Hey there. So most mixers actually only send a stereo mixdoen and not individual tracks. This video explains this. ua-cam.com/video/1VC1Dho7nh0/v-deo.html
Hi Pete, I would like to ask you about stereo recording using Garageband on my iPad 7th Gen which is connected to my Focusrite 2i2: I recorded my digital piano using Garageband setting the input line in stereo but I cannot figure out why when I check the playback the track has shown in just one wave (like when you see a mono track, on just one line). But if I export the audio file and opening that in a DAW is actually shown as a stereo file (so on two lines L-R) ? Hopefully you can understand what I means :) thanks
Yup. You can either set up two separate tracks as left and right, or you can set a single track as stereo. This video might help - ua-cam.com/video/Dbz8sxuy5X0/v-deo.html
@@PeteJohnsMusic Thanks for your answer Pete, I just subscribed to your super channel.. Yep, I did exactly as you have shown in your reccomended video and although we set a stereo track we get a recording track in just one wawe. I would like to see the L and R of my recording as usually you can see in an stereo track. Is it possible to see that in Garageband? Otherwise which App would you reccomend to get a good quality stereo recording using iPad+AudioInterface (like an Audacity for iPad) (I will record just my digital piano) Thanks
Dear Pete, I love your studio, I have planned to purchase Steinberg UR44 as well,
I just wonder can this bad boy can handle 6 multiple tracks (maximum) +1midi simultaneously through iOS garage band via iPad as well?
Hello my friend! So, I haven’t actually used the MIDI inputs on my Steinberg UR44 to be honest. My MIDI keyboard is USB so I haven’t had the need. I know that all 6 analog inputs can be recorded at once. I have used up to four simultaneously on my iPad Air 2 and it has worked really well. Earlier iPads may struggle but if you have an iPad Air 2 or newer you’ll likely be fine.
@@PeteJohnsMusic thank you so much Pete!! For your kind response
Keep up your awesome work
Thank you my friend. Let me know how things go if you do end up purchasing the UR44.
Thank you, Pete. Can I have a question? Can you run out four separate tracks from iPad to your interface to be able to have an individual track in an individual output of your interface?
Hey there my friend. I’m not sure I understand your question 100% my friend. Are you looking to route separate iPad channels to separate outputs on your interface for playback? A lot depends on the interface you are using.
If you can perhaps give me a little more detail here I will try to help out.
Pete Johns Sorry, Sir. I thought my question would not be clear enough. Let's say I want to get my 4 tracks recorded on Ipad - want them play back to record them on my Tape Portastudio 4 track machine - each track separately on each tape track (they must be play all together because of the tape recording I cannot play them back one by one) can I do it using ur44? I hope my question is clearer now. All the best to you!
Okay, I understand now! So, the short answer is “no”. The interface only has stereo outputs which mix down all tracks in to one stereo signal upon playback.
In a desktop DAW what you might be able to do is use the secondary output and assign two channels to this (left and right) and two channels to the primary output. Basically splitting the playback of tracks out to four separate tracks. (2 x stereo). I don’t think this would be possible with iOS or without software to control the outputs though.
nice video! can guitar and bass just jam around at the same time when not recording?
Hey there my friend. Yes, if you enable monitoring on both tracks, you can just jam and hear any tracks you have enabled.
Pete Johns thx for the reply Pete! I thought the same, but when I did exactly what u said, it didn’t work, only the track I’ve tapped is on, and another track with monitor on is not making any sound, and I can’t tap on more than one track at a time... I’m using a new iPad Pro with irig duo pro interface.
Hello Pete, thanks for your videos. 👊🏼 this same way I can record 8 mics from my drums? Using simultaneous tracks and a Focusrite ? Does iPad and garage band handle this?
Yep, it can handle as many tracks as you have inputs for as long as you are using a class compliant interface. (Which most Focusrite interfaces are).
The only issue is if you are using a lot of plugins on tracks and an older iPad you can start running in to performance issues.
Pete Johns thanks mate 👍🏼 cheers from Argentina 👊🏼🤘🏼🇦🇷

Please help! I’m getting signal in my interface and have the lightning to USB hooked up and charging the iPad. I’ve got tracks separated to 4 channels but no signal at all in GarageBand. I need guidance. Multitrack recording is on and monitoring. it’s being run on an iPad Air 2
Hey there. I think I responded in another video and directed you here as well, as I talked about this in today's live Q&A show - ua-cam.com/video/gsnUoh-oSTw/v-deo.html
What can u tell to choose between scarlet 1820 and ur44
Hi there. I went with the UR44 because it was much more affordable, I love my UR12 and am familiar with the setup, and that it plays nicely with iOS out of the box as you can turn on Class Compliant mode.
The 1820 is probably an overall “better” quality interface, in terms of the preamps and some of the hardware, but you do pay for that quality.
Can you do the same setup and record on 4 tracks on the Mac??
Hey there. Yes, I’m sure can. The UR44 is compatible with Mac or PC and can record up to 6 channels simultaneously as long as you have a computer with enough processor power and RAM. 👍
Pete johns What about the Steinberg UR44 recording 6 tracks on IOS?
Would it be possible to record a midi keyboard (plugged in directly usb) and a guitar and mic (plugged into usb interface) at same time using a usb hub?
Yep, sure is. I demo this in this old video - ua-cam.com/video/ESmnF7jv92A/v-deo.html
Maybe plug the midi into the interface - it has midi input and output on the back ( I have the exact same interface). I'm gonna hook-up my Akai Midi Controller (Drum machine) into the interface. I want to record a drum track while I play guitar
I’m trying to record MIDI piano (Casio Celviano) on iPad Pro along with a vocal mic plugged into a Focusrite Scarlett solo. It’s coming up with an error ‘Audio record path not found’. Is it possible to multitrack (it’s enabled) using these two channels or not? Thanks!
Hey there. I have done this before and it should be possible depending on your setup. Here’s a video that might help - ua-cam.com/video/Vomprgxr0ac/v-deo.html
Thanks for the reply mate, appreciate it. The only difference I can see is that you were using the Apple adapter and mine is a USB 3 adapter but not Apple. Do you reckon there could be an issue there? I can’t see it being incompatible though as it works in every other way. I can monitor the two tracks simultaneously but when I hit record it asks me to set a pathway for the midi piano
Yeah the non-genuine adapters can be a problem. This video will help explain - ua-cam.com/video/qt6ZczdUdV4/v-deo.html
Hey, Pete... is there a way to help the screen on the track list while recording? Every time I record the screen changes to the input page. I expect that with virtual instruments, but it always happens it seems. Still new at this, so maybe I’m not sure what I’m talking about. 😂
Yep. I know what you mean. The only way to get the track view screen when recording is to record two or more tracks at once. When I’m recording a vocal, I’ll just add a second track and enable channel 2 and record nothing to it - just so I can get the track view screen. 👍
Ok cool. :). Just one of the tiny little quirks, I guess. Great idea and will do :)
Yes. Good ol’ GB has a few of those!
So I have discovered 😂😂😂
😁
do you know how many audio recording tracks an ipad pro can handle?
Hey there. It depends on the software and the interface. I have recorded 6 at once on my iPad Air 2, and have heard of folks recording up to 12/16 on an iPad Pro.
Hello! Ive been wondering how can i connect my usb microphone to an audio interface cause i really want to simultaneously record from my keyboard and microphone but cant seem to do it
Hey there. You can’t connect and use a USB mic and USB audio interface at the same time sorry. Only one can be used at a tome.
@@PeteJohnsMusic would it be possible tho if i have a powered usb hub then just connect both my keyboard and mic there?
How would this work using 4 tracks recording live drums
Hey there. You just need four mics and a four channel interface. I talk about your question on today’s live show - ua-cam.com/video/TpQW5z7V7LU/v-deo.html
Hi, do you Peter or anyone have any experience multi track recording with the Tascam us20x20 and the Presonus 18x24 on iOS GarageBand? Are they also both “class compliant” and do not need any external control devices?
Hey there Hye. I haven’t personally had any experience with these. Some of the higher end interfaces are often not class compliant so can be incompatible, but I haven’t personally tried either of these.
Perhaps ask folks over on either the iPad Musician or GarageBand Users Facebook groups. If anyone has tried these, it is probably folks over there.
Hi Pete, thank you for the reply. Do you know of any 8 xlr input audio interfaces that are fully compatible with the new iPad Pro?
Hey there. I’ve only tested the Strindberg UR44 which is 6 input (4 mic pres and a stereo input), but haven’t tested any 8 channel interfaces at this stage sorry.
Is there any reason this would not work with macOS into a Mac for Logic Pro X?
Hi there. It should work fine. I have used the UR44 to record 4 tracks in to the Reaoer DAW on my PC with no issues at all. 👍
Does the ipad detect number of inputs in audio interface automatically? its showing 6 inputs. In my its shows 2 inputs, its because i have only 2 inputs!!!!
That’s odd? Are you sure there aren’t any stereo line inputs on the back or anything?
So can i run signal out from my mixer to irig2?
Hey there. You could run a signal but it would be line level from your mixer as opposed to instrument level so make sure you keep the volume super low. You would also only get mono audio unless you were using something like the iRig Pro Duo with two line inputs.
What Gen iPad are you using?
These days I have the iPad Pro M2. Back then it was the iPad Air 2. studiolivetoday.com/gear
Can I Do This Without a Interface and Just a Mixer?
If the mixer has a USB connection and is class compliant. ua-cam.com/video/K95B2-KfMak/v-deo.html
Is it possible to record multiples tracks on Iphone? I tried but on Iphone, I can only record one input per time
Yes, it should work exactly the same on iPhone. Jump in to the advanced settings and make sure multi track recording is enabled. ua-cam.com/video/o3-wEiIDNzY/v-deo.html&feature=shares
So the max is 6 tracks? I have an 8 input audio interface and I need all of them to record drums.
Yeah, this one is just six inputs.
Pete, thanks so much for the clarifying video. I was hoping that the USB hub with several www.amazon.com/gp/product/B083LPB96X or a www.amazon.com/gp/product/B074ZBRX95 would let me use my ipad to record 4 microphones. It sounds like the GarageBand limit still applies. Any ideas?
You generally need a 4 channel interface and 4 XLR mics to record like this. USB mics are only supported one at a time.
Pete Johns the Audio2000'S www.amazon.com/dp/B074ZBRX95 has the 4 XLRs and the usb out. I have not found a DAW app that recognizes it but it just arrived yesterday. Any recommendations? How about if I use a MacBook Air instead of the iPad?
how did you also record the video at all the same time.¿
Hey there. You will need another device to do this. If you are recording in GarageBand, you can’t use the camera app in my experience.
My setup includes an iPad, two iPhones, a webcam and a DSLR camera, so I can combine multiple screen captures and videos together in editing.
Pete Johns do you have videos on how to do it
I haven’t ever really put together a complete video about hot to do this sorry. Perhaps I should?
Pete Johns yeah i would really love it
Is there a limit to how many tracks?
I have recorded up to 6 using the UR44. I believe you can do more but would start hitting performance limitations depending on the iPad or iPhone you were using.
Can it work like delta 1010
Hey there. I’m not familiar with Delta 1010 sorry?
Maximum how many inputs i can connect?
As many as you have. I’ve seen up to 8. After that iOS performance might be an issue.
@@PeteJohnsMusic thanks man. Take care :)
I have the same unit and can’t get it to record more than one track at a time. Very frustrating. I’m not very techie. I wish I had your skills on the guitar. Very nice
Thanks for the kind words Gene. So you don’t get the option to select the different input channels when you tap on the input?
Mine looks just like your screen. I go through just like you did but it seems every new channel added in to record cuts off the previous. I’m probably doing something wrong. It’s not currently set up since my living room is lmy sound room or I would have already tested it. Tomorrow I’m going to try it again. Thanks for the video and the reply. I’ll post what happens.
Ah. Yes, it may be that you need to tap the record light on for each track. By default it will disable the last track arming when you add a new track so you just need to tap the record light back on for each track. Let me know how you go when you get set up again.
I think your vocals would sound better if you sing with the same accent you use when you speak. It's seams that you sing with a foreign accent.
Yes, there’s a couple of songs I sing that are Irish folk type songs and I tend to slip ok to the accent, but am working on this, and the final version was a little less intense with the accent.
I cant get that channel icon to light up so i cant see inputs🤷♂️ i dont think ipad is recognising interface, when i plug it in it just says on screen-not enough power to run device even though im plugged into mains🤷♂️ any ideas???😫
Hmmmm...... what interface are you using? Is it the Steinberg UR44? Some interfaces manage power in different ways. Also, what lightning to USB adapter are you using? I recommend the Apple Lightning to USB 3 adapter as it provides additional power through the Lightning port and is super reliable.
Pete Johns i got the Behringer UMC202HD
The lightning port is a Becjoy🤷♂️it says it wont work with anything over 100mah-whatever that is??🤷♂️
Pete Johns it just keeps saying on Ipad screen-This accessory requires too much power, maybe the lightning stick not good enough? Knew i should’ve gone for the more expensive one!😫
Yeah - sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but this sounds like a pretty standard case of a third party adapter not playing nicely. You might need to go with the genuine Apple version. I used mine on a Behrnger UM2 and it works perfectly.
Pete Johns doahh! Thought this might be the case😫 so do you know what 100mah is? Want to make sure the next one i get can run more than that-oh well, better remortgage to get the Apple one!🤦♂️💸
Is it possible to play 4 out put ? [ 2 out put stereo and 2 out put for the musicion monitor ] thank sir
GarageBand only supports a single stereo output unfortunately, however other DAWs may allow this?
