Ever miss it? I mean I quit smoking almost 2 years ago. I smoked for 38 years. Every day I still want a cig. 😀 Of course I fight off the desire, but I do miss them.
In my opinion, this a portayal of unconditional love and how it can be expressed by people society deems as worthless when "normal people" haven't the capacity. That's why I love the movie.

yea ppl or the audience can feel sorry for his character i wish hollywood would go back to stuff like this instead of wasting 134 million dollars on stuff that aint good to save them production cost its better to get the audience invested in these characters and have a good plot around these ppl or characters

I've never read the book. I'm sure it's better than the movie. Considering how good the movie is I'm sure the book is one you can't put down once you start reading. Beautiful, insightful "suicide note" if you ask me.

What's sad is that Ben could almost be charming and suave if he was like this sober. But is it his alcoholism or depression that people are repulsed by? But at this point he can't distinguish between the two. And, you know, fuck you for pitying him. What else has he got, huh?
