Hey so my lady and I are wanting to up root and settle somewhere new and South Dakota has been on our minds for a week now and we are thinking about buying a couple houses there. We’re both Oregonians born and raised and the economy here is crazy and the wildfires and smokes are threatening our lifestyles and we honestly want to escape. We’re thinking East SD near Sioux Falls what do you think about that area? We are considering vermillion SD as well
Sioux Falls has everything you need. A bonus is that there are several small communities within 15 minutes of SF that would be excellent places to live, and still be close enough to "the big city" with all its amenities. (We live 90 minutes from SF in Minnesota, and may retire somewhere in SD...)

Our favorite places Custer State park,Needles hwy,Sylvan, Lake Spearfish Canyon,Badlands, Rapid city,Mt Rushmore, Deadwood and Reptile Gardens.
We were up there and had the opportunity to cruise through all these areas. Needles on a convertible is the way to go. Beautiful land.
