Nemophila have three albums of original songs. They wander around genres as they like and don't care much about labels or boundaries. They're most likely to serve up metal or metalcore of some kind, but there's also a good chance of pop, hard rock, ballads, punk or whatever. On their UA-cam channel they have done a shitload of excellent covers of Iron Maiden, Rage Against the Machine, Foo Fighters, Kiss, In This Moment, Pink, Bon Jovi, T Rex, Linkin Park, Skid Row, Motley Crue, Pantera, Halestorm etc. On the EP they covered System of a down, Metallica, Slipknot, Limp Bizkit.
Nemophila is at their best when they are heavy. Which is the direction they went in with the latest album thankfully. I'd recommend Rise, OSKR, Oiran, Adabana, Hammer Down, Ama-Te-Ras, and Zen. Probably some of their heaviest and best work in general!
@@AirborneSealife If you know the name of the song, it makes it easier to remember the name of the lead guitarist (formerly co-lead, now sole lead) Hakuki. If you know the name of the guitarist, it makes it easier to remember the name of the song Hozuki, lol!
If you're looking for some shamisen try Enten, for modern-djenty-proggy stuff go with Hammer Down, for some uplifting groovy brutal eargasm there's Ama-Te-Ras
For Dissension-level songs, try Oiran live (2023 version), Revive live, Zen live, Rise OMV, Adabana OMV, Monsters, and try ballads as well, Life and Now I Here
Hmmm? Well nice introduction to Nemophila, but they are very diverse. I prefer their originals, but you compared them to many bands. They have covered many groups from Pantera, System of A Down, Metallica, Linkin Park, AC/DC, Iron Maiden, X-Japan to name 7 of about 40+. IMO all of their covers are better than the original bands, but that’s just an opinion. Most of their covers came from the pandemic lockdown period, or supporting bands they performed with more recently. As I mentioned I prefer their original discography which numbers 37, excluding remakes after one of the guitarists recently left. I enjoy all of the originals, but perhaps you could try Oiran live, Raitie, Adabana, Sieze the Fate after reacting to Zen Live. If you just want incredible shredding you might try the band Koiai featuring Hazuki from Nemophila and Lisa-X. The song is A New Picture. Thx
Nemophila, LETS... GO!!!! The Soft and Fluffy band from Hell. They are so good. Their songs vary quite a bit, a few are even ballads, which I hate. You are going to have a lot of fun with the mostly women Japanese metal / rock / punk bands. I am looking forward to your reaction to Broken By The Scream, if you get to it, which is up to you obviously :) If you want some Japanese guys, and ridiculous heavy, go for Jiluka - BLVCK mv Also I suggested Lovebites - Judgement Day previously, but as you mentioned thrash metal you could try any of the following LOVEBITES - Break The Wall - Live at Zepp DiverCity Tokyo 2020 LOVEBITES / Set The World On Fire [Live from "Ride For Vengeance Tour 2021"] LOVEBITES / Thunder Vengeance [Live at Zepp DiverCity Tokyo 2020] LOVEBITES Soldier Stands Solitarily (audio only) LOVEBITES Paranoia (audio only) Good reaction and thoughts.
@@AirborneSealife Nice. FYI Lovebites are releasing a new track today on UA-cam. I don't know yet if it's just a teaser clip for the EP release end of next month, or the full mv. If it's the full mv it might be worth jumping on it soon, tactically, as it will create a load of people searching for new reactions to it and if you get in during the hype, that might mean extra subs. I wouldn't suggest doing it as your first song, maybe go with a classic. Or you might not be the tactical types or not be worried about sub numbers etc in which case ignore this. Either way, have fun when you get there.

Agreed!
Pretty much agree but the latest album is not all that much heavier then Seize the Fate and for sure Revive nor Oiran extended edition.
Haraguchi-san Haraguchi-san Haraguchi-san!
Oiran and Zen lives really show them in true live shows and their great stage presence.
Mayu is incredible, she he three ways of singing: clean, clean raspy whisky voice and screams and they all sounds perfect.
Nemophila most diverse an versatile band 🤘🔥❤️
Nemophila does it all
Welcome to HAPPY METAL
Oiran live and Zen live, probably their heaviest songs, Adabana and Rise might be their best songs all 4 are bangers!
The second song is called HOZUKI.
Thank you! We will keep that in mind for the future.

Nemophila mashes up genres pretty often.

They did plenty of covers and one anime theme song, the power ballad Odissey

LOVEBITES / Set The World On Fire [Live from "Ride For Vengeance Tour 2021"]

LOVEBITES Soldier Stands Solitarily (audio only)
LOVEBITES Paranoia (audio only)
Good reaction and thoughts.
We can definitely give those bands a shot! LOVEBITES is very much on our list of bands to react to. They tend to come up a lot on our comments.
