Not only are X-Zone baits awesome Jim Van Ryn (owner) is one heck of a good guy! I ordered some of their reel covers from Tackle Warehouse and one was kinda messed up, and TW of course is a pain in the butt on exchanges/returns. I contacted Jim and he not only sent me a replacement, he sent a box full of X-Zone baits and gear and an extra reel cover of a different design. I called him and spoke with him on the phone and he was in no hurry to get rid of me. I have been buying X-Zone baits since then and am smashing bass with em!
TW is a necessary evil
X-Zone is top notch for sure 👌
Another fantastic show. Partner dodged a Tyson right uppercut beautifully BTW 😂
C Mac - Curly Mac. T Mac - Trick Mac. Great vid
Hey Tim thanks for the great video. I just wanted to say to you and matt you guys have given so much to the fishing industry and we really appreciate you two guys so much for all of that. GOD bless you and your families.
Dook, boop lol gotta love Tim. Can’t help but smile listening to him talk baits. He’s a beauty.
Wormser is lowkey awesomeness! Dude the Sticky and Honey watermelon.... it's sand colored transparent pink and the honey is a gold and black flake watermelon. Unique and great bait. I see they made a smaller 4.25" Gobi... gotta try those on a jig ....
Appreciate ya 💪🏽
Smaller worms can get it done too. Sixteen years ago I used a six inch worm and scored a very nice 125 pounder. Brought her home and mounted her, and she hasn't left since.
Lmao see what you did there
If she hasn't left since, u should have practiced catch & release 😂
You caught her on a bed? It's fine you can tell us.😂
@@andybales7318 nah, she's a keeper
F*cking pundemonium in here
I was so excited to see this video pop up. Big wormin is something I never used to use but it really became a favorite of mine on those brutal hot days when it’s so hot that I’m just feeling lazy and just want to slow down and count rocks. I’m a Culprit worm guy.
Remember when Culprit hit the shelfs in K-mart. Lol Good Ol Days. Culprits been around for along time. 👊🎣🎣
Not to correct you Tim. But I think it stands for curly.
I always assumed that with Net Bait the C = Curly & T = Trick... maybe not, but that's what makes sense to me.
If T= Texas Rig then C=Carolina Rig and 🎣+🍺=😁
Owner makes an incredible magnum shakey head
Yeah I like that one too!
I love fishing 10-12 in. worms. Here in north central Texas, our lakes are low and docks or points are the way to go on my home lakes. I stumbled on a different technique.
I was re-rigging due to no luck.
Reaching for a new hook, l picked up a 7/0 Owner offset with a 3/16 belly weight that I use on swimbaits. I thought, why not?
Rigged with a 12 in. Junebug curly tail produced a gliding descent.
WOW! An 8, two sixes and two three’s finished out the morning!
I love your videos and the tips you give, just wanted to add another.
Tight lines and Godspeed
Hey guys, thank you for all you do. I've always wanted to get into bass tournaments since I was little . I ended up joining the army and not being able to pursue it, but now I've been given a chance, too. All your gear and techniques videos have been super helpful. So thank you.
Thanks!
The new 6th Sense Boosa Worm is LIGHTS OUT!! Been hammering them with it on the ol ball and chain!
Great edit. This is my favorite was of fishing.
I used to make my own long worms by cutting the last few ribs on a zoom trick worm and the first few ribs in another so they matched in size and then melted them together. So much action and it caught a lot of bass for me.
I’ve been on the big worm for the last couple weeks and I can attest that little ones will bite them!😂 thanks as always guys🎣
Thanks for the Carolina rig tip 😊
Awesome stuff I'll have to try some bigger worms!
The biggest bass I've ever seen in person (13 lbs) was caught on one...maybe I should give them a shot. Up here in NY and NJ, that's not a common thing to throw. Might have to change that. As always thanks for all of the information and great video
I’ve been looking high and low for a video you guys have done for big worm Texas rigs
Love to throw a big worm this time of year! Xzone makes great stuff started using them in 2020 and they quickly became some of my favorite plastics
Great review. Got a couple tips I need to try
Incredible video Tim,thank you ❤👏👏
What about Manns jelly worm
C for curl. T for trick
I remember one of those guys gluing together 2 of his biggest worm!
So many jokes to be made at the 3 minute mark
You guys need to check out the new Nishine drop shot hook. It’s made to tans straight out off the line. Really nice hook
Came in 2 nd this weekend my buddy was doing most of the work on a giant senko
Wow! Thx!
I love throwing a 6 in straight worm wacky rigged this time of the year!
Great content Tim!
Great in-depth video. Thanks for sharing the excellent information.
Cool, when you lakes are not choked to death with grass.
You guys have ESP, I was just thinking about what big worms to throw.
I am not a fan of the discontinuation of the original Netbait lures. The new ones with baitfuel are at least $2 more expensive. One of the appeals to me from Netbait was the quality at a very inexpensive price.
U can throw a 12 inch in a small/medium size pond and catch a 2 pounder. I know.
What are those fishing rod clips you use (please post a link for them). I worm fished the other day and did OK but your video should make me better at it 🎣 Thanks guys
What hook keepers do you use Tim? I can't seem to find good ones for higher end rods that don't come with one.
I've asked in other vids. No replies so far and watch every new video
These appear to be it.

@@Striphe Thank you !!
I was fishing the other day, I noticed now dirty the water was. The water I usually fish in you have less than 3 feet depending on what color of bait you use. Can you tell me which vid I can watch about what to use in such water. I was using one type of gear; went to the dock and change out what I was using for swim gear, chatter bait, and a buzz bait. I got one 12" bas on the buzz bait.
Curly tail/swimming worm tail question, tail up or down? l
I think on big curlies it's on the side not like a grub...
No it's tail up so when you drag it the tail sticks up and spins if you have it down or on the side the tail will swim "on the bottom" instead of right above the bottom
Tim, what rod setup for the powershot rod? Also, what is the hook keeper that I see on your Loomis and Shimano rods?
They are Cali Clips. I like them but sometimes hard to find the right size for your rod. 3 pack has one each of the 3 sizes.
I went Saturday and tried multiple baits finally put on a 7 inch curly tail june bug on a shavky head and the bass went nuts i caught about 20 bass and im in southern ohio best fishing i have had in years
all i got is 4/0 5/0 and 11/0 for big 12 inch jelly worms and 5/0 for my fat max Culprit worms 7 inch 4/0 for regular 7 inch
MAGNUM BAITS ARE AMAZING GO TO BAITS. 10" MAG ON A HOG FARMER SHAKY HEAD. KILLER COMBO!
What keeper is that you always use Tim? Im sorry if I missed it on a vid.
Cali Clips
What’s your favorite knot braid to leader ? Great video ! Thanks
Carolina Rigs are incredibly hard to cast. I wish someone would do a video how to throw them.
I agree. I can take the same lure I’ve been catching fish with off a jig head and set it up Carolina style and stop getting bites immediately. I must be doing something wrong
Carolina rig is harder to throw the longer the leader and if you cast it over your head. Try making cast with the rod tip anywhere from 2 o’clock to 3o’clock, side arm cast. Part of the trick is that it is like fly fishing, the line needs to be all the way straight behind before your forward cast.
The Carolina rig from my experience is much easier to cast when the leader is 24 to 30 inches long. Also, I find it easier to fish brush piles with a 24” leader than longer leaders. I also use Carolina floats on my leaders, it is a bullet weight shape foam that helps the worm thread its way through grass or other cover.
I prefer braid (actually Berkley Fireline in 20 or 30lb as it is just stiff enough it doesn’t tangle in the weight). Weight wise I use 3/4 or 1oz, if Im fishing clay bottoms and brushpiles, then I use T-rig bullet weight style and the tungsten barrel style if fishing chunk rock.
I also have a finesse Carolina rig with 1/4 to 1/2 oz tungsten bullet weight setup on a 7’2” Expride heavy spinning rod, which I use much more often than the heavier casting setup.
I really like the Mann's 12" jelly worm...only problem is, I end up eating it myself...that smell is just too good...i can't resist
First!!!❤❤❤ let’s go!!!
#️⃣1️⃣🥇
I was first but i deleted it so you could have it
@@NikoBased 😂😂 you the real mvp my friend. Kinda guy I wanna fish with lol
@@jtotherog I only made that up so you would want to fish with me 🤣
Green screen?
What should I use in Florida? What color?
When do you throw the trig and carolina?
What are the plastic clips on the rods above the reel called that you're securing your baits to?? I need some!!!
Cali Clips
Love the content but.....why so long?? Keep doing you brother but maybe a ten min vid instead? Just a thought
When it comes to 13Fishing’s rods I definitely have some reservations.
1. Short handles. Majority of 13’s rods have very short handles.
2. Tons of Bad reviews and they’re all basically the same. Not Honoring their Warranty. We all know rods break and when you spend $2, $3, $400 on a rod and it breaks and you get the middle finger from the manufacturer that says a lot.
And this is why I don’t own any 13 Fishing rods. I’ve read hundreds of reviews and there’s bunches of great reviews and there are a lot A LOT of NOT great ones also.
Do You have a 13 Fishing Rod.?
It's funny you say that I set the hook on a 3 pounder sight fishing and the rod litterly exploded lol and I honestly don't see the hook that hard so I never got one again since
Bait Fuel infused HUGE mistake. Bluegill will eat you up.
