Years ago I bought a little duck for my daughter when she was a baby. I named it Quakers because everytime it was squeezed, it quacked. The adventures she had with it were amazing. She still has it as a keepsake. Quackers still quacks! Thank you for the memory. I will make her one with your pattern now.
On the wings you left off two steps. You stopped at 7 when their is 8 and 9 I thought my wings didn't look right so I clicked on the pattern and read it. Round 8 on the wings is SC around and round 9 is a decrease round sc 2 together. Stitch count 9 ☺️ just a heads up for the ones who was following along like me, Great tutorial btw I just used regular 4 weight yarn with a 5 mm hook and my little ducky duck is super adorbs!!
Heads up for anyone not using bulky yarn. Your basically gonna have to double all the work up rows. For 7-14 I ended up doing 7-21 to get a big enough body. It looked the same but just keep that in mind
it’s all with practice love , i used to get so frustrated with my plush’s but the more you do it the more you find methods that work for you i promise , if small plush’s aren’t working for you try doing bigger ones it’s a big challenge but if you can do that you can do anything
Thank you very much, Mickey! Quackery is so sweet and cute! Thank you for sharing it with us and for your so helpful tutorial!❤!!!😊! Have a Happy Easter!
I love this idea for little baby’s but the eyes I would recommend crocheting the eyes cause the other eyes might fall off and the baby’s might swallow it but this is a great idea love it
I made baby blankets for my grand-,nephews from Bernat blanket yarn and my niece asked if I could make some type of lovey as the boys want to take their blankets everywhere. They live in Fresno area, triple digits for months. These cute characters might be just the thing. Thanks Michael ❤
Thank you so much Mickey for your tutorial and explaining your stitching. I’m new to amigurumi and I stitch like you do so I had a hard time following Sarah’s instructions with the “slip stitch and chain one” part! You’re the best!
I wondered the same thing. I’m going to say yes because everywhere else in her pattern it says which parts aren’t stuffed. I think it’ll help keep the shape too.
So CUTE❤. Personally, I kind of liked the pinkish colors from you print out, unique duck! I need to make on for my craft booth since my last name is Drake😂. (Maybe tweek it to use mallard 🦆 colors🤔)
A question about round 36 of the body/head. It states sc2tog around until closed. Wouldn’t this mean to keep decreasing until you only have a couple stitches left rather than sc2tog until you have 10 sts and then sew up the hole using a needle??
I started to do mine and it started to curl up but then again im using 3 relatively light yarn. Im doing it the way in the video i do believe im following as good as i can seeing as im still learning. Does anybody have tips? Should i keep going will it straighten out?
Too cute! 🤗 How big did you make the white part of the eye and what size of safety eyes did you use? Loved his little tuft of hair! Going to make this for my great-grandson.
I was wondering if you had your version of this pattern written out? I prefer to crochet in continuous rounds as well & im finding sarahs pattern confusing to read as im a beginner.
Here's what th epattern says. Looks like I have a video issue. 8th rnd: As 2nd rnd. (second round is 1 sc in each st around) 9th rnd: Ch 1. *Sc2tog. Rep from * around. 9 sc. Fasten off, leaving a long tail. Sew to either side of duck where head and body meet as shown in photo. The pattern is linked in the video description in case you need to see it.
@@TheCrochetCrowd I dont know how to read patterns and this is kind off confusing for me. Do you think you can explain the 9th round again without abbreviations? thank you so much
My granddaughter (in another state) saw your version of Quackers Mikey, with the topknot wants hers exactly like yours, so, did you just make a tassel, attach and it wrap it at the base? How do I keep the cut ends from fraying, just singe the ends with heat? Thanks if you have time to answer with a brief description❤

thanks for the heads-up!!
Definitely on my to-do lit! Love your method of going straight into the next row … no slip stitch! 👍

I wish I could make Armugrumi. I get anxious and frustrated, and frog all my work out. Mikey, you make it look so simple. Beautiful work of art!

Such a cute duck.
Omgosh it's spring!
The eyes are perfect. Thank you
This duckie is adorable, great Easter project. Thank you for sharing Mikey. 🥰
Great tutorial thank you. As a beginner you have given me confidence to try this 🙌🏻 😘
Que lindo!!!!! Gracias maestro!!!!!🥰🇲🇽👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏🌟🌟🌟
Awww fluffy ducky 🐤
He was so cute!
You’re a life saver! Thank you
I wanted my duck bill to have more of a curve, so I put a piece of pipe cleaner in it which helps hold the curved shaped pretty well 😊
I'm making one for each of my youngest grankids, four in different colors
Adorable!!!❤
Perfect for Easter. Quackers is so cute.
So cute! Thank you.
Love amigurumis I wish you would make more. That is my next project Happy Easter from Montreal
Adorable
What a cutie!
Oh my goodness. I now have another project to do. Lol
OMG! ❤❤❤ SO CUTE
Love him🥰
I love giant amigurumi!
Almost finished the duck, your tutorial was really helpful. Question I need answering is though,do you stuff the tail?
I wondered the same thing. I’m going to say yes because everywhere else in her pattern it says which parts aren’t stuffed. I think it’ll help keep the shape too.

Omg how Did you do the hair like that
A question about round 36 of the body/head. It states sc2tog around until closed. Wouldn’t this mean to keep decreasing until you only have a couple stitches left rather than sc2tog until you have 10 sts and then sew up the hole using a needle??
That’s what I did. It closed up and then I just sewed through some holes to make it flat.
can I ask what is the size of the eye??
Any chance of a tutorial on how to make those eyes?
I started to do mine and it started to curl up but then again im using 3 relatively light yarn. Im doing it the way in the video i do believe im following as good as i can seeing as im still learning. Does anybody have tips? Should i keep going will it straighten out?

It's just 3 rounds. If you follow the free pattern link, I wrote down specifics for you. thecrochetcrowd.com/quackers-the-crochet-duck-tutorial/
I was wondering if you had your version of this pattern written out? I prefer to crochet in continuous rounds as well & im finding sarahs pattern confusing to read as im a beginner.
Sammmme. I'm so confused on the counting with slip stitch and chain one. Do they count???
Nah, it's not cheating on the beak, it's called giving it a personality 😉. May I ask why you don't ch1 when going up a row???❤❤❤
You won’t have a slip stitch line.
I have a i question my head/body is like spiraling? I tried re doing it multiple times but it keeps doing it? I need help please
Like its not straight?
The wings cut out after round 7 and switches to the feet 😢 don’t know how to finish the wings
Here's what th epattern says. Looks like I have a video issue.
8th rnd: As 2nd rnd. (second round is 1 sc in each st around)
9th rnd: Ch 1. *Sc2tog. Rep from * around. 9 sc.

Its just a tassel at the top centre of the head. You will tie the ends with a tight not to prevent the fraying. I wouldn't burn the ends in this case.
Can anyone tell me if i can make 2 Quackers from one ball of the main colour or should I purchase two?
yes, they take nearly 1 ball for the main colour.
@@TheCrochetCrowd thank you
Adorable
Oh my goodness. I now have another project to do. Lol
