HI RAY, ANOTHER GREAT VID 👍 . IM JUST GETTING INTO TRI-PODS… MY QUESTION IS ANVIL-30 VS BH-55… WHY THE 30 FOR SHOOTING. SEEMS THE 55 WOULD HOLD BETTER…
Anthony Rainero I think the “f” designation is a fixed leg position. I don’t think that would be the one you would want for shooting. I shopped around for a while before deciding on the exact one in the video. Thanks Anthony
Anthony Rainero The TVC or Versa option allows you to use a ballhead, leveling base, center column or anything else that requires you to remove the center platform, it makes the tripod bigger in circumference. The TFC or fixed apex means you can only thread on equipment to the top whether it be ballhead or other options. The tfct option is only available as a package with their new Anvil ballhead since the apex is tapered specifically for that head.
Great question 10th Mtn. They really aren't as stable as some would think. I would find a good balance point to clamp onto the rifle and I personally put one of the legs towards the target if possible. This will allow me to press forwards slightly into the rifle. Also try shooting it free recoil depending on the caliber. Basically, don't influence the rifle and try to just fire by using the trigger. Watch for recoil and that you don't get popped in the head with the scope. I don't use the free recoil method but a lot of others do. I hope this helps.
X-RING always good info! I will surly try it because when I get behind it the reticle is all over the target and it’s hard with just the Hod saddle so I may get a anvil 30 ball head to put on top to move around and just clamp the rifle down. Thanks again man and keep Up the good videos!!
X-RING sorry if I’m bothering you but I just say thank you again. I tried not pushing into my tripod as much (I’m too used to bipods) and wow it took a lot of wobble out of it and I’m getting in good dry fire. Idk about life fire but I’m pretty confident because I’m still getting contact with the rifle and leaning in some. Thank you again X-ring!!
Great Info Thank You. For those that are shell shocked about the price, you can hunt these tripods down for less. Photographers may be looking to thin out their equipment etc. and these tripods are avail. on the used market. There made so well I think you can hand them down to the grand kids. Request, can you show us how you would use a tripod to stabilize the rear etc. I appreciate you explaining how the system is used prone, kneeling & standing.
Good review, one thing that you missed and the reason I'm going to save and get a RRS tripod is that they are made in the USA and not Communist China like the rest of them.
It's nice gear but there are a lot of other setup's that are of very good quality for half the price ...... Check out the Innorel RT90C with a Sunwayfoto FB52-GNN ...It will take a much bigger load than the RRS .
sabas7007 Honestly, for what I use the tripod for, the SOAR Anvil 30 ball head works better than anything else I have used. The down side is the you have to have either an Arca Swiss or Pic rail on the bottom of the item you are wanting to mount. I have a couple of HOG saddles that I put a pic rail on the bottom so that I could clamp binos or other item to quickly. I have had the opportunity to try about all the ones you listed with the exception of 2 of them. The setup I reviewed is really tough to beat.
Trying to decide on a bipod now. Always used Knopfjager for work but not sur e if I want to spend that much since this time I’m paying the bill...

For me I'd have to take three 2x4's and some screws... Budget....lol
That was a very good review mate I have the same unit on order can’t wait to get using it
Precision rifle reviews Thank you. I am still using this one. It is great.
Awesome product and very stable/sturdy!! Works with many rifles!
RAZORJB Yes it does. Have a good one Razor!
Pretty awesome equipment...Good stuff...
Scott F. Thanks Scott! Have a great weekend.
They are the creme of the crop of tripods and heads.
InSight Freedom Agreed !
Do I get the TFC, TVC, or TFCT for target shooting. I really dont understand the differences

I just got a hog saddle tripod and pig saddle clamp. Any tips for shooting with a tripod? I’m new to using a tripod and I find it wobbly

10th Mountain Division My pleasure ! I am glad that helped. Thanks for the question.
Correct me if Im wrong but this was the Really Right Stuff TFC-33 with the Anvil 30 Head correct? Do you like that better than the TVC-33?

Elias Bonilla Great information Elias. They are solidly built. Thanks for watching.
I probably missed it, but which model is this Tripod? I know the head is mentioned.
TFCT 24 from Really Right stuff. Anvil 30 is the head
@@XRING thanks brother.

That looks top quality. Happy Friday. Glocked 17 here...changed my channel name.
Excellent review.
Is that a size 34?
Have seen these on Tv on guns and ammo tv that place in Utah that teaches long range shooting guy has a boat load of them they are bad ass.
They are the best tripods around.
Now that is a nice tripod.
Shootin' with Uncle Dan Thanks Uncle Dan!
Interesting. I currently use a Monfrotto.
Vanessa Kitty Manfrotto does a great job as well. All of mine were heavier than this one.
Very Nice, Carry On
Big Johnson Guns and Gear Thanks Big J!
Little pricey for me , but I guess if you into long range game you "buy once cry once "
Bald&curious That’s what I always say! Hope you are doing well Val!
Nice tripod! Great review! That's not going to fit in my teacher budget. Lol!
New Texican Thanks New Texican. The price is the biggest downfall.
X-RING It looked like good kit and if it's the right tool for the job most of us will find a way to hide the price from our wife.
New Texican Isn’t that the truth! I am always hiding :-)
Nice tripod
I like it
Isyour6covered® I hope you are having a great time Rick!

Compare that to a fatboy inverted
Lol! I have one
Fat boy makes great tripods. They are a little heavy though
UA-cam is putting liberal political adds on this vid
