I shoot off of a shadowtech O311G with a Sunway Foto ballhead and a pig saddle (the heavier less expensive version of the hog saddle). After this video, I will revisit how I run my ball head.
On a side note, The O311G is a ROCK SOLID tripod I have zero issues with. It was under $200 and just works. Its only downfall is its nowhere near as light as any carbon fiber tripod.

Would also recommend a drop or two of pure lanoline one the ball. Makes it super-smooth.
