Whitney, I used Simplicity 9802 so many times, the cape is easy to make and can be used as part of a costume or evening wear. Thanks for sharing, your video was really interesting. Judy
What a great collection, I loved it. Very fun video, thank you. I love to collect, also, and they are incredible inspiration, not to mention memories. My regret is that I do not have my mom's vintage Vogues and McCall's. Thank you for sharing
I love the vintage patterns , you need some vintage fabrics to make them in. I have some of my grandmothers patterns and they are such fun to look through. I adore vintage clothing which is a really big thing to buy in the U.K. now. 🧵🤩
If I had a UA-cam channel I would definitely do this. So cute. I have had S8447 for a while and you encouraged me to do it and I did. Whew! You will see on the Sew Your Stash facebook group. I also did the shirt and wished there was a sewalong for that. I was so confused with the pleats on the back.
Looking good Whitney! Great video. Do you have any video's on just how to get started using a pattern? I have bought a couple but when I get started I get overwhelmed. You have always explained things so well, I know it would be a great video. Maybe you have one already and I just haven't searched.
Love sewing patterns. I've noticed too that Hobby Lobby & Joann don't have the .99 pattern sales much any more, not even the $1.99 ones. around a month or two ago I purchased 58 patterns for only .25 ea at a thrift store. Most were from the 40's 50's.. Not all the envelopes are in the best condition. They did come in plastic pattern storage bags. If a pattern has most of the pieces, I keep it and mark what is missing. Many years ago I bought a Shirley Temple pattern at a block sale. At that time I didn't know that the old patterns were only marked by punch holes. Well I looked at the pieces and thought that the pieces were just scrap and threw it away. Not happy about that. Goodwill's here bag patterns together. I don't buy them because I can't see what most of the patterns are. Good video of your patterns.
I have a question regarding making a replica 17th century coat. I’m making a full outfit for my son who does reenactments and history lessons every day all year. Any suggestions?
Sew awesome❤ IG: angelasewsistah from Chicago. I love the bear pattern. I have use it over 40x. Thanks for liking my memorybear/keepsake Bears. Do you have any hat patterns? I agree on buying another pattern. I have 3 of the bear pattern. Do you have dog, lion cat patterns & hats? Maybe one day you can raffle off a few of the patterns you no long use or need❤😊

Hi Whitney, do you have a video that explains a pattern for those of us that have never used one? ❤
I have a few videos on my channel about using sewing patterns, but it's definitely a topic I need to post more videos about.
@@Whitney_Sews Thank you. I will look for them.💕❤🙌
I love vintage patterns but I don't have the privilege to own any .

I have a few hat patterns, but have never used any of them. The only hats I've made so far are from my own newsboy hat pattern that I have a video on.
