I love it when you find something that still has the original store tags on and it's perfect for you, My daughter works at a Value Village so sometimes she calls if something I want/need turns up. I've been looking for a pair of cowboy boots, no luck so far.
I love all your videos...when I first started sewing, which I taught myself , but only with the help of watching videos on youtube..just wanted to say..you, and maybe 2 other women whom also make videos...you ladies explain everything perfect, the step by step guided help...the ideas you come up with...everything is just awesome. I am a mother of 7, stay at home, and was on the brink of going nuts so I needed to find myself a hobby...SEWING.....I go to sleep thinking of what I can create. Anyways I'm jumping all over the place with thoughts right now..just wanted to say you rock..and I look forward to seeing more.
+Amanda Lane Aww thank you for such a sweet comment! I'm so glad you are learning to sew and that my videos are helping! That is exactly why I make them...so others can fall in love with sewing like I have :)
Enjoyed watching. I love to thrift shop. On Tuesday my son & I went to a free sale at a church. Yes everything is free. We got lots of really nice things. They do this once a year. Whitney, your wedding dress is beautiful.
A new video is finally up! Since the last tutorial was such a hard video to make I decided to do something fun, so this one is a tag all about thrifting! ua-cam.com/video/tY7UZpjMBLc/v-deo.html
So, i've never been that impressed by wedding dresses, like most women are, but that is probably about the best one i've ever seen. And those docs..... same impression.
Love this! Can you please tell me the make and model of Frankie? I can't believe you got that for $5! The best deal I've ever gotten thrifting was a Kitchen Aid for $14 regular $375+
I don't have the make and model for it. I had looked it up at one point, but forgot. There are no markings or plates on the machine (previous owner took them off) but from what I can tell it was made in Japan as a singer knockoff. There were tons of singer look-a-likes made during the 50-60s by other companies.

I love thrifting! Thanks for sharing your adventures👍did you end up buying that cute circus item you posted on Instagram?
No, I didn't buy it. I liked the design, but not the colors. Might try to make my own version in the future...

LINDA BROWN Free sale sounds awesome!
I wonder if your sewing machine is a White from Japan. I have a similar machine that runs like a beast. I love that your wedding dress was thrifted!
Beautiful wedding dress and gorgeous pictures.
Thank you!

Is your Husband working at the same thrift store where u work?
thomasmccarty09 My husband doesn't work at a thrift store.
Brown Betty is a He?? Frankie?? :)
Yep! I named it Frankie because when I first got the machine I thought the brown was super ugly and boyish...but it's grown on me a lot since then :)
