Great Informative video. Subscribed 🎉
Have owned one of these for a few months now. It fast became my most used tripod due to its short and lightweight design that easily fits a bag and is quick to set up. The only negative is when shooting a few photos in the same position the slight pressure from depressing the shutter tends to move the camera out of level more than what occurs with a traditional ball head.
thx for connecting in, I'll have to watch for that. Cheers!
Use a remote for shutter release!
A cool feature you missed out though, you don't need need to use the plate for the phone mount, it is ARCA Swiss compatible, your Smallrig Cage is also ARCA Swiss compatible, you really don't need the plate, just helping out, thank you for the video :)
Thanks for this great video about XAircross 3 carbon. Most probably this is the tripod i will buy very soon. Just one question .. The ball head seems a little bit weak . Ofcourse it also depends on the weight of the camera and the lens, but even for light weight camera and lense, the locking system and the ball seems weak.. What do you think ?
for it's size, it's more than adequate but you're not going to be supporting huge rigs with this tripod.
Seems like this Lite model is possibly the lightest full size tripod available, even more than the normal X-Aircross 3.
absolutely, couldn't agree more. many thx for connecting in. Cheers!
hi great and clear.
just wonder how u choose between the 3 and the 3 lite
Is the 100g less the deal breaker for you?
Thanks
Hey thx for connecting in. The 100g wasn't a deal breaker. I just looked at what was available at the time of purchase and the Lite version met my needs. Paul
Where can I buy an extra column as the one in the center to make it higher?
I'm looking for a lightweight tripod for my heavy full frame body and lenses. This is lightweight and unique design. However, I wonder how strong are the locking mechanism of the legs. When I tested this out and lock the legs by turning it, it feels very fragile with a cracking sounds... Repeating the locking and unlocking of the legs, will this last for many years? Thanks for the answer
Can't honestly say as mine is only a few months old but this tripod is not for the setup you mentioned. For a larger professional rig I would look at something like Leofoto's Mr. Q with 22 - 24 mm legs. Cheers
This or the Ulanzi? I am contemplating this question in my review vlog on my channel. Thanks for your much more professional opinion. I am still undecided.
Impressive tripod! I'm in search of a very lightweight but steady tripod for an upcoming backpacking trip in the Grand Canyon. I have a question. Can I adjust each leg in the different lengths for uneven terrains?
Yes, of course and it definitely ticks the light weight box.
@@PTPhotoGearReviews Thank you!
@@PTPhotoGearReviews Thank you so much! I ordered one!
Most welcome.
What's the folded size with the head removed? Just the legs?
14.25"
Seems like it was designed for much shorter people. If they offered this with just 6 inches more height, I would buy it.
