It needs a little work, but hey, they all do. I also own a Lachssilber E28, a bit slower tough, being a Euro 525i, with the small M30 engine. The red interior is great! Enjoy it.
I'd use some lubricant on your fan/blower, as these tend to seize over time, and this is a source of electrical fire ... Also, for the tools in your trunk, Evaporust seems to be a good product to clean them out (no affiliation, just saw that in another car freak video). For the rest, I bet you know it's best to check the bushings and rods for a great driving experience, as well as those of the gearbox shifter, much more enjoyable when it does not have so much play in it.
Congrats on the car! I myself just bought an 86 e28 535i a week ago and excited to get working on it but I need to ship it up here to PDX from CA. What car transport company did you use? so far my experience is pretty bad with those. They've cancelled on pick up dates. Anyway, cool videos! i might have to watch most of these once i get to work on my car.
Hey, great choice on the car! I used a company called “Freedom Auto Transport”. I do remember it being a little finicky with the exact pick up time, but they came on the day they said they would. Hopefully it works out for you 👍🏽
Congrats on the E28. I myself am planning on getting a E30 or a E36 I'm still looking into both and seen some good deals but at this time I'm just saving up.
for your doors to shut better, you need to replace the little rubber bump stops on the locks on the side of the doors, cheap and easy to fix, bmw ref 51 21 1 809 735
perfect color combo IMO. My 88 535is is Lachsilber, but black leather interior. Planning to got to the same red interior yours has.

Thanks for the tips!

@@b.ba.bakanaI'll try them then. Thank you! Appreciate the info. How far along to do you have to schedule the pick up date?
@@mikkofm147 hmm they were available to do within the week! But I think the more time the better of course

Good choices, just hope and pray that if you get an E36 that the door handle never breaks... those are nightmares to deal with!
