  • Truma on board, Sabrina was right about out Truma AquaGo
It has been over a year since we had a Truma AquaGo installed in our RV and we wanted to share our thoughts on it now that we have been able to use it in every season and situation, dry camping as well as with full hookups
Quick explanation of what the AquaGo is
    Water on demand
Don’t need to wait 25 minutes for a tank to heat up before taking a shower
Energy efficient and saves us time while getting ready in the morning
    Sabrina was right
I originally thought eco was the way to go, Sabrina liked the comfort setting.
I was wrong and she was right, while boondocking I have used the comfort mode and it gets the water hot so fast that I feel it is the more efficient route to take while showering off grid, but I do turn it back to eco after the shower. I feel this is the winning combination to making our propane and water stretch while boondocking.
Sabrina said we would never RV without an AquaGo
It’s funny how fast you get accustomed to luxury items which is what we consider the AquaGo to be, Sabrina recently said that all future RV’s will have to have an AquaGo in them.
Something we both enjoy is the consistency of the water temp, it’s never cold and more importantly it never scalds us, and that is with us being in cold temps for the winter and extremely hot temps in the summer.
    Easy to maintain
One of the things I enjoy about the system that, Sabrina probably doesn’t care about is how easy it is to maintain. I just did the one year clean out and no tools were needed in fact after you insert the 6 tablets for decalcification the AquaGo does the rest. It really couldn’t be any easier.
    Closing thoughts
We have plans to purchase a travel trailer in the near future and if we can’t get one with an AquaGo we will be doing an aftermarket install just like we did with our Vista. It’s great while boondocking or while having full hookups and it’s a winning system all around.

We've had 2 RVs with the Aquago and 2 with Suburban water heaters. Hands down, we prefer the Aquago.
Low energy use on demand and much easier to winterize and return to service. Also, we turn it on only when we are using it.

I am going to agree with you on all of this. Originally I would leave it in Eco and turn the system on with a faucet, but recently switched to keeping the system off until I need it since it activates so quickly and heats the water in no time.

I just love how Sabrina sat there through that intro with a big smile on her face. Waiting for you to give that punchline of "she was right and you were wrong!" I saw the title of your video and thought I better be saying a prayer for Kenny! LOL I feel for you buddy. However. Congratulations Sabrina! Lol being here in Arizona for the summer we actually turned off all of our hot water heaters. We have hydronic heating the Oasis system. Runs on both diesel and or electric one or two heaters. Normally we just use one electric heater, but like I said the summer we didn't need any. Some mornings when we do wake up the water is a little bit cooler so we will turn on the diesel and it is instantly hot within 2 minutes. If we had the canyon Star we would be putting in the system you're talking about. Great video guys!

Hey Dave, this summer has been too much for me! Sabrina is usually right, someday I will learn that, but I doubt anytime soon lol. I have heard good things about the hydronic systems and I like the idea of them working from the fuel tank as well. Hopefully we catch up with you guys this winter! We are currently on our way to the Overland Expo in Colorado, then will be slowly making our way to the Hershey show.

Hey Kenny...does the aqua-go run on both electric and propane?

Hey Matt, the AquaGo primarily only works on propane to heat the water. The antifreeze kit that we have installed works on 12volt, but it is only meant to stop the AquaGo from freezing, not to heat the water for a shower. We originally thought we would miss being able to heat the water from 120v like our old water heater, but the AquaGo has been so efficient we haven't missed it all! It could be though because we barely used our old water heater on electric, it was very power hungry and worked very slowly to heat the water, so we mostly used it on propane as well. Sorry for the long post, I'm tired and rambling 😆
