You never know is right! One winter hubby had a doctor's appointment across the river. While we were there, the bridge was closed due to an ice storm. Meanwhile, I realized that I was coming down with the flu. We booked a motel room & stopped at Target where we quickly grabbed some toothbrushes, OTC meds, snacks, etc. (We had "emergency" stuff in the vehicle, but none of the niceties for spending the night! Especially not when sick.) When we got to the motel hubby used our shovel to help a young girl dig out her car out of the parking lot.
It sure wasn't the most fun "date" ever...LOL!...but it could have been a lot worse. At least we had winter tires, some basic stuff in the vehicle so we wouldn't have frozen, and money for a motel so we weren't stuck out on the road somewhere. And adult kids back home who could run over & take care of our animals. If we'd known we'd have cancelled the appointment...but yeah, you *never* know!
Ice storms are no fun. Prepping is important.
Ice storms are awful. I live in Washington state and I've experienced a couple devastating ones.

Great video! Thank you. I hope a lot of folks see this. Our homestead in Wisconsin is set up very well, but I happen to be visiting Arkansas right now, we are still unable to get out of the driveway. I wish I had my pantry here!
Do you know of a good parisite cleans for the body not just the gi track. Please any information would be grateful. Thank you for your time in this matter.
@ James Gunter - Look into pure gum spirits (aka pure turpentine) NOT the stuff from the hardware store! The pure stuff is basically an essential oil in a more dilute form. Diamond G Forest Products makes theirs from their trees in Georgia. There's also a doctor (Jennifer Daniels) who studied it (on herself) for years. If you mix it half and half with pure castor oil, it works great. You can even put it in a capsule so you don't taste anything, or freeze the capsule to get to your lower intestine. I'm using 1 drop a day for my cat who looks like a skeleton - I strongly suspect parasites. He's eating better since we started 5 days ago. I fully expect him to get back to looking like a normal cat soon!
