Shows the amount of control he had over his dressing room that his captain of all people was prepared to mend an iron just to ensure he got picked. Absloutely class 😂

You genuinely couldn't make this stuff up. Absolutely unreal. This is why Cloughie is still sadly missed, he was an irreplaceable one off; a true legend and brilliant manager to boot.

Brilliant man . Met him many times as his son owned a paper shop in west bridgford and the great man often sat on a chair in the shop chatting to whoever came into the shop .

Oh! my god. I just love Brain Clough. Don't care if he was rude or whatever crap some nincompoops say about him, he is a legend and a genius. Love and respect from Assam, India.

What a legend, I am to young to witness what he did first hand but I am so thankful for what he did for our club

Every story you hear about Clough. Every confrontation he has with people supposedly more “superior” to him. Every mindset he has with players, coaches, owners, proves to me he was a man of incredible intelligence, wisdom and outstanding management of people skills. A legend undoubtedly. Loyal, yes. An enemy……no thank you!

A great manager, what he did at a club of Forest's size was amazing and you certainly don't get characters like that in football today, he had more personality in his little toe than modern managers do today.

He was some character, no doubt about it. I admired what he and Peter Taylor did for putting Nottingham on the map big time regarding football. And I am a Notts County Fan. You are missed Cloughy.

What's missing from today's football, and today's society in general, is the kind of genius, humour and personality that Brian Clough had.

Dean Saunders Brian Clough impression is flawless, it's as if you've got the real deal in the studio!

If he was alive and managing today that iron would have been thrown at someone and rightly so. He believed in good honest football just like Bill Nicholson. Very few managers like him today. I'm a Spurs fan but admire his honesty and beliefs in how the game should be played. If a player got sent off he didn't argue about it. If a player had a bad game he was dropped the next game. Modern day players wouldn't last 5 minutes if they played under Bill Nic and Cloughie.

Brian clough would have got England the world Cup if he'd been given the opportunity to manage the England team

Brian Clough should have a Prime Minister. He would have every leader in the world confused, terrified and laughing at the same time while making UK the richest country in the world.
