Just wanted to add: the major danger with flyfish isn't that they autolock onto multiple targets and paint the ground (though in PVP, missiles ARE awful for that reason), it's that they are very difficult to kill compared to other salmonoids. They are normally positioned toward shore, meaning it's going to be difficult or awkward for weapons with low mobility to even get to them mid-game, and require not only two bombs, but two bombs with precise aim, AND you can only attack it while it is attacking, which is mostly outside your control. Compare with maws, which will happily follow you wherever, it will attack when you stop moving (so you have control) and you just need to chuck one bomb at the ground. Stingers and big shots are also annoying due to their positioning rather than their inherent danger. Especially in freelance / uncoordinated comps, depending on the weapons assigned, it can be very frustrating if you're there with an eliter and your splattershot is insisting on killing the maws and steelhead near shore instead of going after the flyfish and stinger, which are targeting you, and not targeting them. I agree with your list overall, but it's less "high priority" and more "high effort". Or, "you can't lure these" / "you CAN lure these". Also depends on map and weapon rotation, ofc. Fish sticks could be high priority with some rotations.
for me personally, drizzlers are high priority, since most other freelancers tend to ignore them entirely. even if i don't splat them outright, i try to at least deal damage so they're easier to take out later
yea - the painting of the raincloud is not seen as a threat immediately, but definitely a pain and hinders mobility especially if two or more spawn in at once (and having to deal with other bosses on top of it). (and also sometimes you may barely survive a situation, think ur safe then get that final 2 hits of damage from the drizzler and die which sucks :')) Other ways to deal with it are to be ready to shoot the torpedo, it shoots back at it before it becomes a raincloud (this will kill it immediately or at least damage surrounding salmonids - although depending on the angle it may do nothing and just paint the floor or fly off the map lol)
Not only does it low mobility but more importantly you take passive damage making anything that usually kills you in two hits kill you in one. Also if you're already hurt a bit, 3 clouds on the map cut off A LOT of places you can go or escape to cuz going through the clouds is death but also remaining where you are can also be death.
I think drizzlers should be in the high priority category since they are the biggest reason the other high priority bosses lead to wipes. You can dodge the missiles, killer wails, and wave breakers with proper mobility, but when an inkstorm is ruining your movement all of their threat levels increase significantly. Also the reason why I’d say they outrank the other mobility inhibiting bosses in mid priority is they take up far more of the map than all of the others.
I never knew making the flipper flopper crash breaks their armor permanently and makes them easier to kill in subsequent dives. I never even realized there was an unarmored state lol
I say move steal heads to medium priority. Sure, they are not much of a threat by themselves, but if you have multiple in hard-to-reach places, they can essentially make a wall that can limit your movement, and if they are combined with the steal eel, then good luck trying to get close to them.

I will say in regard to flyfish there are some senarioes where outright killing them isn't optimal due to their being a limit of only 3 of a single boss slamon on the map at a time. So at times "crippling" which is where you take out one basket and half missile output can be better. This mainly comes into play in 1. 280%+ hazard levels where it can be better to have 3 total sets of missles on you than have flysish constantly spawn and spam you out 2. Spawning grounds high tide with the flysish on the grates than basically requires a special to kill as it is a deathtrap trying to approach so once again having it there but weakended can be nice. Keep in mind in like 85% of senarioes it is better to outright splat them but it's good to keep in mind.
I'd say steel eel is high priority if it's high tide and otherwise medium. Having just two of those on high tide can lead to wipes, because they easily end up protecting eachother and making you have to use a special on them.
My high priority: Stingers, Drizzlers (or at least always keep shooting their ink storm), Big Shots (especially with multiples), Fishsticks (near basket or extremely high traffic area and especially if we have low painting/slow weapons), Steel Eel (close to basket or crowded area) Medium Priority: Fishsticks, Slammin' Lid (close to basket or crowded area or multiples bunched together), Steel Eel, Steelhead Low Priority: Maws, Scrapper, Flipper-Flopper, Fishsticks (low traffic area), Steelhead (non-threatening areas and won't block too much of the way), Slammin' Lids (not important areas and you can always make it slam to prevent it from spawning lessers which are definitely things you have to manage) Special: Flyfish, don't even bother splatting them because they're annoying to splat. All you need to do is take out one basket, their eggs aren't really worth it because they spawn on near shore and because they're annoying to splat with time and ink resource, you don't want another Flyfish spawning with both baskets up. Bombs also can frequently bounce out too. So unless you're using specials or special weapons like some Grizzco Weapons or Explosher, just get one basket and leave it until the end of the wave or something. They're not too hard to dodge with three flyfishes and one basket. One basket is high priority. If you're in a coordinated team then this might matter less since both players can take care it in a much more timely manner than freelance. If you really need eggs and its near time limit then you might need to prioritize Maws, Scrappers and Flipper-Floppers mostly. But Drizzlers, Steel Eels, Slammin' Lids and Steelheads are also lurable. You might want to take care of Steel Eels so it doesn't block the basket so you can quickly deposit eggs. I think my list just kinda depends on situations so its kinda hard to list what I would prioritize the most. This is mostly accurate to my train of thoughts. It also depends on your weapon too, sometimes you just have a terrible weapon for some bosses and then you'd have to depend on another teammate with a weapon that can deal with them better.
Finally Fishsticks are taken seriously. Yes it depends on the situation but they're boarder line deadly in the right conditions (aka high tide spawning grounds with 3 all surrounding the basket). They can straight up deny you ground and trap you and your team. Also chargers and other long ranged weapons... High ground wins.
Steel head in low priority !? there is so much game i lost because everyone died from them because they didnt see the bomb cause they where too occupied and we loose cause she explode too quickly ! and hes hella hard to shoot !
Steelheads are alot more dangerous than most peeps think. If theres more than 2 they can overwhelm you. And they usually camp near slammin lids so its hard to shoot them
I never really prioritized certain bosses, except for flyfish and steel eels, and just splatted whatever was closest to me. I’ll definitely try out new strats based on how you listed the bosses in this list the next time I play salmon run. Thanks!
Definitely take out Stingers before they harsh DPS spam out your entire crew(concentrated aims are hard af to dodge and most likely end in fainting) Reefslider and Triple Inkstrike are super good to destroy them
I'm glad Fish Stick wasn't low priority, I always try to splat them asap since they're often ignored compared to other medium priorities...

Yeah i agree, sometimes their positions are really hard to get to. Very tough boss to deal with for many reasons

No idea why people tend to ignore stingers. You can even hurl splatbombs at it if your weapon don't have the DPS for it.

Most crew wipes I've had were because no one splats the fish sticks. Once 3 are down it's game over, no mobility, easy to get overwhelmed with lessers

A part of me dies whenever I tag a scrapper to lure only for it to get tagged and then splatted by a teammate at the shore.
