I just bought one of these, and regardless of the negatives that people point out, I absolutely love it. My wife loves it, and my daughter loves it. Much more room and comfort than in the BMW 4 Series we drove. So much is standard on this car. It is roomy, comfortable, and does everything I want it to do. As for being a dog, it really isn't. I used to own a Pontiac Firebird 400 4-speed back in the day, so I'm no stranger to a performance car. 0 to 60 in 8.3 seconds? So what? I never do that, I go from maybe 30/40 to 70/75 up an acceleration lane to merge on a highway, and it handles that just fine, thank you. Passing on the highway? Again, no problem. The turbo handles that with barely a touch of the gas peddle. The other knock is all the buttons on the dash. These buttons are redundant functions found in the on-screen menus. Well guess what? When I want to do something while driving at 70 mph, I much prefer pressing a labelled button to drilling down through on-screen menus (even though the Cascada responds to voice commands for calling, changing radio stations, etc.). And secondly, on a bright sunny day with the top down, the screen can be a little hard to see, like your cell phone in the sun. So again, give me those redundant buttons. Once you know what they do it's no big mind-boggling confusion factor like everyone seems to think. My only knock is I really, really don't like red interior lighting on the dash. But I wasn't going to not buy the car for that. As for the ride, it is nowhere near as harsh as I expected with the 20-inch wheels. And finally, since I started looking for a convertible a couple of years ago, I see so many BMWs and Audis. It's nice to stand out from the crowd a bit, and everyone that sees it tells me what a beautiful car it is. Oh, sorry, one more thing: I chose the 2018 instead of the 2019 because they changed the backup camera. They went from a nice big view on the dash screen with guidelines to a tiny video in the left corner of the rear-view mirror, without the guidelines. I hated it, and it was a deal-breaker for me and my wife. So that's my 2 cents. Color me a happy camper.

Dawillie Minotaur, I also have 2016 Cascada and I love it. In Wisconsin we hit -15 below 0 and the heated seats, heated steering wheel, with the cabin heater keeps me nice and toasty. I can't complaint about my Cascada it's my everyday driver. And, the center console every review complains about. I got use to it in a matter of days.

I hear ya on everything you said.i feel the same way.i bought a 2017 Buick cascada with only 20k miles on it.the dealership wanted 20k for it I talked them down to 17.5k and payed cash for it.a car note was not an option for me.lol but I love my purchase.wanted one when they came out but was not able to buy at that time.i have the touring package on mine and it is awesome.the handling is great and mine was fully loaded with all the bells and whistles.and when I bought my car the salesman told me that the features on this car has some features that a 350k Bentley doesn't even have when comes to the many luxuries that this car offers so hats off to the luxury department.i have own many cars but this was the best purchase I ever made.i own a 1999 Buick century also.so I was able to learn alot of the features off the bat being familiar with buick.my century and this car both give a smooth ride.since I now have 2 Buicks it is the only kind of car that ever want truly own.im a Buick driver for life.lol

I wanted to add my own experience as an owner of this vehicle. I have owned one since the first model in 2016, and have used it as a commuter vehicle across Wyoming. This is a state that snows 6 months of the year, and I can say that I have never slid on ice or got stuck while on a hard surface. The vehicle doesnt have much in the way of acceleration because it weighs as much as a Ford F-150, but that weight translates into amazing traction in any road conditions.

So funny to hear and read how many complain about the center console when that was one of the reasons I bought this car. As an old-fashioned, I rather have a button for a specific funtion than having to navigate on a screen to find functions.

Thank you so much for an honest review. My partner and I (gay guys) have reviewed the Buick Cascada for the last 2 years. Easy lemon extended, complex, cost benefit analysis overtime, we decide a Mazda Miata would benefit us most. Given we can put a full shopping cart load of groceries in the trunk. If I could afford a Tesla model 3 and I had my own garage I would do so. Electricity is cheap compared to gas. Thank you and have a great day.

GM has totally ignored this car with lack of promotion and more safety features. It's almost a sure thing that this model will be phased out after 2019, and that's a pity! I am still considering purchasing it soon, though. I love it's shape, but it seems I'm in the minority when it comes to this vehicle. Buick blew it if it's discontinued. Perhaps it's Opel dropping it in Europe. Not sure. Bummer, though! Peace...

    Greetings,
I drive the Astra/GTC/OPC version. The Cascada is the same platform. Meaning you have hiperstrut suspension on the front and watt-link in the back. Which is great. The Infotainment is the downside of the GTC and the Cascada (5:00); you can feel it is a 2012 car on that department.

was considering purchasing a 2019 Cascada so i went for a test drive. The rear view mirror had an extra large bezel that was very obtrusive and blocked the already limited sight lines with the top up. It struck me immediately when I began driving. I'm wondering if its the same on the earlier models or is due to the fact that the reverse camera plays on the rearview mirror on the 2019. I've read every review I can find and never heard anyone mention the rearview mirror being an issue. Maybe its just me. I liked everything else about the car but that was a dealbreaker. I know right?!? If you’re gonna be slow, u better have good MPG. If it’s fast, then I understand the poor mpgs. This has neither good mpgs or acceleration. Boo.

The power drill makes its scheduled trunk appearance at the 02:07 videomark...lol. Those seats look like Buick copied the Range Rover Velars design pattern.

It sure does, J High. Helps to give some perspective of trunk size, plus it keeps Chris from forgetting to switch plates before he drives off.

Damn this car is slow! They need to ditch that 1.6 for the 2.0 turbo, the 1.6 takes a long 9 seconds to 60

Very good looking car and good review. The review would be even better without the leather jacket from 90s

The engine is a joke. Terrible power for a car like this

It weighs more than a stock Ford F-150 truck... and the car is a bit of a boat... but I've had no problems getting it up to 155 mph.

The styling is bland, the engine is weak and the interior is too busy. Any European convertible is better. Buick, delivering disappointment for years to come. The reviewer was very professional.
