*UPDATE:* Confirmed from @ComandanteGridner : " The current RedClix set is not officially compatible with the C60 since the bigger burr might stress the polymer clicker too much potentially leading to damage of the parts. That's why we don't recommend using the RedClix in C60 Baracuda. In the future we might be releasing a RedClix specially made for C60. For now on we think that the GoldClix offers enough flexibility for the majority of the users to perfectly dial in their brews. "
I was soooo waiting for this video... Thank you, Josh! Unfortunately, I didn't hear what I was the most anticipating - not the obvious differences from C40, that anyone can notice, but a grasp of understanding better how the scaling of the burr affected the taste in comparison with C40. Not to mention the comparison with Kinu, Niche 0, and 1zpresso... But maybe you're planning those for the next videos... Fingers crossed. lol
I saw a comment from Comandante stating that they do not recommend installing the Red Clix on the C60. That is because of the bigger burr size which creates a lot of pressure on the dial while grinding that could break the plastic Red Clix dial.
I really think they should've innovated with the adjustment mechanism. If they do release a motor attachment then I doubt anyone is going to want to use an internal mechanism. The Arco 2in1 would surely just be a better choice.

Good review! I have been told by someone close to Comandante that Red Clix, although fits in, is not recommended. Apparently there are some additional forces while grinding on Baracuda that can brake the plastic part. Hence they gave us this metal clix.

this is what's weird about it. the C60 has definitely a premium build quality about it, with a HEAVY outer shell and a great click adjustment (dropping it from 30 microns to 21 microns per click is great) but they literally ignored ALLLLL of the modern quality of life upgrades that people like 1zpresso, Timemore and various other mfgers have been implementing. still having a free floating burr without an attached axel is mind boggling, and ZERO numbered adjustment dial is just play mental. I get that Commandante feels that they're the OG and I genuinely like their build quality over most others, but this release seems tone deaf.
I don't have much issue with internal adjustment, the catch cup need to be removed to get the ground coffee out anyway to me not having the numbering to indicate the current grind setting is about the worst thing, and also the biggest let down of C60
Compared to Kinu M47 classic, which one has better overall? (Espresso and filter coffee) I am so confused which one should i buy, since both of these are very2 amazing grinder.
Both! Thats a tough split. I really like the grind adjustment on the Kinu. Yet comandante has such a unique profile that’s really enjoyable too. I’d go the Kinu over the Baracuda or get the Comandante C40 👍
1ZPresso will sell me an all-metal grinder with a visual, external grind adjustment system for significantly less than the C60. For significantly less I can also get the Mazzer Omega or Pietro flat burr hand grinder. I can almost get an 1ZPresso K-Max AND a Fiorenzato Pietro for the price of the C60 - it's a tough sell, I don't see why the C60 is so expensive.

I'm quite bummed out by this grinder, many people say the taste\clarity only improves about 5-10% from the c40... really not enough for more than double the price. I'd get the Pietro instead, at least you can clearly taste a difference...
The C40 is well made and has a certain charm. I'll give credit where it's due - the heptagonal burr design changed the hand grinder game and many brands (and users) have benefited. The most common complaints I hear about the C40 in 2023 are that it's, slow, expensive, and uses an outdated adjustment mechanism. The C60 costs twice as much as a C40, 3-4 times more than most 1ZP models, and the only meaningful improvement seems to be the speed (while giving up the "smooth" C40 grinding). This release seems to be completely tone deaf. I don't see many people buying this grinder.
It is true, but I don't think that's neccesarily a bad thing. Comandante grinders are like record players. There are more modern and efficient ways of listening to music, but the simplicity and analog feel of it keeps a lot of people attracted. Same goes for the Comandante, they offer a feel and grind/build quality that's just not matched in the world of grinders. They offer limited edition colors and finishes, which is something a lot of people find desirable. Yes, you could go with a 1Z, they are absolutely great value and great quality, possibly even better, but they don't give that same feel as a Comandante.
I love Comandante (i own one) but their prices are too high for most of the people maybe in 3-4 years i'll get a c60 lol.... then some anti-comandante 1zpresso fanboys will say "1Zpresso is better because is cheaper", but 1zpresso is also overprericed for what they offer (is just a regular grinder with normal steel burrs, with external adjustment) I really hope this chanel and some other review KINGrinders, they are 100$ cheaper than 1zpresso, 16 micron adjustment and has the same burr that 1Z K and X series has 🤷
Let me kick in here to clarify some points. 1Zpresso is great for its engineering and innovation, not bc is cheaper. Happens that the guys in Taiwan are so good at innovating and providing the market with ultimate hand grinder performance that's also affordable. Comandante grinders are crazy expensive for what they offer and again comandante lovers jump to say that C40/C60 quality is unmatched.. I'm not the judge but just to remind you, most recent barista champions have used 1Zpresso grinders, for a reason. Just think about it for a second. Regarding Kingrinders, while pretty similar to 1Zpresso grinders in .a y aspects, these two brands ain't at the same quality level right now. 1Z holds the edge and I've used both, comparing side by side.
That's nice AD, but I'm not buying. Sold my c40 mk3 long time ago because wasn't happy about how poor they did some parts like: wood, plastic parts which got scratched just by looking on them. Then mk4 wood laminate was even bigger of a crap, and now this for 500+ eur, lol. Also that ping plastic jar, for 500eur+ 😆 because fanboy babies break glass, yeah yeah sure sure. I'm not telling c40 was bad, but for it's price and this new meme I can buy better product from other company. Not going to tell which one, to prove my point it's not about shilling but to mark this is meme product for fanboys.
This grinder just seems like more of a “flex” to me. Way cheaper grinders can do a way better job fortunately. The Comandante cult following is dwindling ( this is how it comes across to me) but still enough they can create an expensive underwhelming grinder. Good job! Bravo! But it’s not to late for Comandante if they play there cards right. Otherwise over the next 10 years they will become like Blockbuster Video. I still want them to succeed, but they need to then create products that are actually relevant, like a pourover specific burr geometry with a better adjustment system, or espresso specific burrs. That would give them three critical grinders including the C40. If they really really wanted to capture the coffee connoisseur audience they would create a better flat bur like the Pietro but succeed in all the places they failed.
I am so disappointed that they still couldn’t produce enough stock to buy. Honestly, it has been a long time to wait for this grinder . Such a disappointment to the Comandante manufacturing
