When Home Free released their "Sea Shanty Medley" during the lock down and it went viral, the game company Ubisoft saw it and was so impressed by them that they reached out to Home Free and asked if they would be interested in creating an original song for their game (which was in development) Skull and Bones. Of course they jumped on that and their one and only sea shanty enthusiast, Adam Chance stepped up and wrote this master piece. Ubisoft introduced them and their song at the Summer Game Fest along with the lyric video which is what we had until now. This video incorporates elements of the game into the story depicted in the video. Well worth the wait, love it and your love for and reaction to our boys. Looking forward to what they have next for us. Glad you got to go see them live and had such a wonderful time. I am content for now sitting at home and watching all the great reactions available on UA-cam.

That double bass starts us off in amazement, and off it goes into Chance's sea-worthy lyrics and piracy! If you enjoyed the story telling aspects of this one, try their mashup of "Thinking Out Loud/Let's Get It On" -- one of their earlier works but not lacking mastery! Enjoyed your reaction!

It’s a great song and Chance wrote it. It all began when Chance bugged the boys to do sea shanties during Covid. They ended up doing the Sea Shanty Medley and it went viral. It attracted the game maker Ubisoft to them. They asked Chance if he would write a song for their new game Skull and Bones and this is it!! This is the new video. They also have a lyric video and a short live video for the Ubisoft crowd. Love it!!! 😃😍💀☠

Great reaction! We've been waiting for this official video by Home Free for awhile now. It felt like watching a movie. Home free is so talented & they can do any genre of music. Chance loves sea shanties & he wrote this song for the game "Skull & Bones". His deeper voice sounded great for this song. And of course all the background harmonies of the guys including Adam's fabulous vocal percussion.
There are 2 instruments in this...Chance plays the guitar and Austin plays the mandolin. All the rest of the sound is all them including the castanets at the end. There is also a lyrical video with game play footage, and a live video where you see them perform this for an Ubisoft event.
