@@marriejames01 There is more to "thriving" than making a lot of money. C. Leon Talley lived out his childhood dreams in spite of the many difficulties he endured during his successful career. To me, THAT is really thriving regardless of how big your bank account is.
He was such an elegant, fascinating man. Please read his book The Chiffon Trench’s. What an icon.

Tamron was definitely a friend. I remember seeing her in Andre's fabulous documentary "Gospel According to Andre". That is definitely a must see documentary. Heaven has an opportunity to love what earth has loved for over 70 decades. Andre your assignment is over on earth but your legacy roars on through the lives you have imparted. By the way, don't get kicked out of heaven informing God about his wing design 😆 . Rest easy "gentle giant".

I so badly wanted to meet him in person. He was not only a fashion/luxury inspiration, but an inspiration in language. He had an Ivy League degree in French and spoke it so fluently. His detailed story telling was impeccable. I loved to hear him speak. I hope he rests well.

Tamron, I am truly grateful for your show featuring Andre'!!! It was beautiful to watch the both of you create such a powerful message, in addition to witnessing the deep sensitive soul that Andre' freely shared with you.
This man... reminded me soooooo much of my Uncle John who I very affectionately called, "Auntie." Their voices sounded exactly a like. They both loved fashion... John, maybe a tad bit more... 😆 and they were genuinely down to earth, open, honest and transparent men. I lost him 4 year's ago, 4 month's after my father. It's so difficult to hear Leon speak because he reminds me that my Auntie John is physically gone. But you know what? We are ALL going to be alright. Love never dies and neither do good memories of good people who left a positive impact on the world 🌎. Blessings and prayers for all of those who loved him. May his fashion continue on in heaven. 🙌🏾🙋🏾♀️🙇🏾♀️💜

I remember when the issue of his home came up. I was so in the fight with him. Imagine so called friends doing him like that. My heart is little lighter knowing he settled the matter before he went home!! Love you always Andre Leon Talley!!

❤️❤️❤️💜 Seems he had good qualities in life, to reflect continuously on where he came from, where he got to, and to provide acknowledgement to the person's he worked closely with. Such be so it seems awkward at times in work settings with working with other individuals he was at that the most part able to himself blaze a trail for up and coming and always tried to keep it current. It is to be admired in his stance that he would say in such a way, he 'just had to get on with it' as he just had to keep moving and doing his thing. May he RIP and all who knew him find inner peace through their fond memories created while he was with them. 💫
I know he's designing wings and angel wear, but he was so authentic, and I respected him for that. Rest in peace, Sir Talley, enjoy the promises of Our Lord in His magnificent kingdom! 🕊🙌👑💐

...he brought out the best in everyone..he gave us energy....he made us all believe....and inspired us to do better...be better...live better....he and TAMRON...were that...fabulously gay uncle...that swans into holiday events...and most of the family...were sort of stand offish about him...but all the women in the family wanted his advice about hair...clothes...makeup.....jewelry...and he was always very complimentary..and TAMRON....was like that high spirited niece that loved to SEW..that ate ...breathed.....dreamed..and lived for style....and the 2 of them were like an entity......that would zone out everyone else....and talked for hours...after they had already talked on the phone about what they were going to wear earlier that day.....that photo of him and her cheek to cheek...just is everything...that caught their relationship...the sum total of it....

Blinding your eyes to the true revelation. That you've known it all the time, but wasted time trying to unknow and unring a bell that's already rung whose tone is ringing in your ear ,hearing but not listening. Not adhering. Following and doing. Never about how much or why what, but what you do with what you have and what you become to justify the why you were given it. You were made to stand up. And stand for and against. You wondered off to jump off and fall down seeing your fence as keeping you in when it was keeping you safe and away from sin . I hope all of these celebrities that are tearing up now fought for him and the injustices he faced when he was alive. Who commented when Anna Wintour paid him one third of what she was paying some of her lower ranked executives.? People are quick to cry when people so great die but they arent championing enough for them when they are alive. This is why Monique exited her damn self from all of this fakeness.
