Same here!! I watched this morning smiling and laughing.
Girl, me too. I was one of those klutzs that could never jump double dutch.

We played Double Dutch ALL day long as little girls & teenagers in Chicago in the 70s!! I truly enjoyed watching this segment!
We sure did, until the streetlights came on! I was on the Westside then. Now I'm sending love and light from the Southside! 👋🏾🙏🏾💞
Congrats to Sean and Michelle and all of the Double Dutch jumpers and champions. I thoroughly enjoyed watching this segment. I got so tickled when I heard you guys talking about how great it was jumping rope in the 70s and 80s. I am 71 years old and I started jumping rope on the streets of North Philadelphia in1957/1958. Jumping rope was one of our favorite games to play. Unfortunately, we did have a couple of girls who were double-handed which meant they couldn't turn the rope properly, but we still had fun. Additionally, us girls liked playing Hop Scotch and Jacks. One day when I was about 8, there were no girls to play with, so I convinced the boys to let me play "baseball" with them in the street. To my surprise and theirs, I was a good hitter so they allowed me to continue to play. 😃 When my uncle saw me, he called me inside the house and told me that little girls shouldn't be playing baseball with the boys. I was disappointed. In high school though I joined the softball team. Although I didn't break any records, I still had a great swing! 😁😃
@@happybutterfly7124 , I enjoyed reading your post. Memories are priceless.
@Brenda Thompson , when the street lights came home, you'd better be home, LOL! "Southside!"
@@pamela2761 Thanks for your reply. Take every opportunity you can to find joy and pleasure in the simple things of life. Bless you😁
She is the absolute cutest. And what a blessing for the business owners.

On point🥰🙏
I ❤️this 😊
Love it!😘😘
❤❤❤
😂
This is one of the best segments ever!! The joy on Tamron's face when she got it is probably why Shawn and Michelle have such a thriving business.
Awww that means a lot to us .. thank you . We travel so book us or come join a class !
I am a director of a Boys & Girls Club and they teach my kids every Tuesday here in the ATL area they are just as enthusiastic as they are on this show my kids LOVE them
Oh my goodness that was hilarious! The joy came just from watching. Glory to God!
They were so right, Tameron would pick up the moves in seconds 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 her excitement was priceless 😆
That was REAL...no rehearsal...no acting
Just PURE JOY and FUNNNNNN🎊🙌🏾🎋😆🤩😁💯‼️‼️‼️
How lovely. This made my eyes slightly glassy after that scream of excitement from Tamron☺️ I love the patience and calmness that couple showed her. And that supportive studio audience 💚💚💚💚Real dope.
It's such a great reminder if we continue to tell ourselves "oh yes we can" imagine all of the things we can accomplish.
Yes I was tearing up too. I love double Dutch but as a kid I was always afraid of getting hit by the rope or tripping trying to jump in so I was all in emotionally watching Tamron's fear and triumph 😀
@@Littlething41me too
That had to be the most contagious joy and laughter I've received in a while. No excuses I've heard of Double Dutch Aerobics, wanted to go, but didn't. I'm going!
We can’t wait to have you ❤️. Mon -Thurs 6-7pm Saturday 9am
You did it, Gurrrrl! Tamron you did such a great job, and I’m so happy for you!😍
I took their class at a Colorado retreat! Their energy is real and now I can say I can double Dutch!!!
this made me smile!! 😊
Double Dutch was all we had in Philly in the late 50's and all of the 60's. The 70's and 80's was the second wave. 🙂
In Chicago Double Dutch was just one of the games we played in the 50s! I thought all kids jumped Double Dutch. It makes me happy to watch Tamron! 😊
Yes...Philly was lit with double dutch. So many street games and then run in the house for Soul Train @12. Those were the days.
We need to bring these days back
So much fun!
Tamron you did that!
This was a great show. Sean and Michelle are a dynamic couple that’s why they are so successful in their business Double Dutch Aerobics ❤
Awwww thanks so much 🥰
She did it that was great keep jumping!!
So much fun!!
OH YES YOU CAN!
AND YOU DID!!!
I LOOOOOOVVVVVEEEEE THIS!!!! I need to jump now 😩
Even if you don't have a Double Dutch class in your area, get a rope and jump by yourself like the boxers do. Start slow unless you're in great shape already. Build up your stamina to being able to jump for 30 minutes or more without stopping. 😃
I LOVE this. We played every day when I was young. "D-I-S-H, Choice!" 💛
I was just singing the song in my head that started with 'D-I-S-H double-dutch . . .' I can't remember the rest (we made up a lot of songs). I was a child of the 60s so I was about 9 or 10 (around '68-'70) when we started jumping using the rope/wire w/vinyl coating (used for a clothesline). We didn't turn the rope that fast (that was called 'skinning the rope') - we had a rhythm to turning and jumping). I grew up in D.C. (then Chocolate City) and I had the BEST childhood EVER!!
We know the song but in Brooklyn it was D-I -S-S .. choice , sleeping beauty , cross cross , around the world .
You did it Tam!! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
I was rooting for you Tam, i was screaming and cheering you on, likk go go go lol
I love Tamron Hall, she is having so much fun, made me smile, thank you!!!!!
I was on the edge of my seat rooting for you Tam! I use to jump double Dutch. It’s hard in the beginning.

Tamron, Yes I can and you did! That was so much fun to watch! I'm ready to put on my tennis shoes and jump in !! 1--2-Sean- Michelle 😄 Yay for Double Dutch resurgence! In my youth, I loved to DD!!
Love them!! Ran in the same circles for a few years, in the same places, but never really met. Randomly came across and then watched their wedding video on UA-cam for years when I needed a pick me up, because it is JOY. Shouted them out from across the street in BK once years ago and they hollered back, and finally met them at a mutual friend's wedding a few years back. They are joy and light. So happy for them!!! 🥰
This was so fun to watch!! Love it!!
My, my, my!!! They did that! Go Tamron! Yes you can and you did! My favorite sport growing up in Camden and Philly...Love this episode! I gotta get back to
jumping Double dutch! Oh yeah...🤗🎯💞💓
I love this!! I love Joy and Nostalgia!! I’m a white girl who went to Catholic School in the ‘60s. We did not have a gym. But we had a HUGE Church parking lot. We Double Dutched at recess and lunchtime. A foot of snow in the winter in Rochester, NY did not deter us. We Double Dutched in the school basement. Anybody can do it! And it doesn’t cost anything!! I did not know it became a Varsity sport in NYC IN the ‘90’s! I’m currently teaching my 5 and 7 yr old GRANDSONS to Double Dutch!! It’s a fun, healthy proprioceptor exercise for everyone! It makes you feel like you can fly! Glad to see it’s coming back!! ❤️❤️❤️ Great public service segment, Tamryn!!!
Oh yes you can and oh yes you did Tamron Girl! ❤
Great job Tamron
Love you sooo much Tamron Hall! I have never mastered double dutch as a child playing with my Brooklyn and NYC cousins but now I can!!! I can't wait to take a class and step to my cousins even at 53! Tamron you are my Shero!!!! AND Sean and Michelle Clark of Double Dutch Aerobics I am coming to see you soon.....I love how WE are sooooo innovative using our own culture!!!! Love it!
Lol I need that class.
Tamarin I see you got some happy juice.. 😅
Well done .I enjoyed this when I was a young girl.
That was amazing Tam❤❤
I love them! They came to my house years ago and taught me and the girls in my neighborhood! I was 55!
Yes me and friends everyday at recess after school im from Southwest Philadelphia i remember how we would need a new rope cause it would be damaged and we would be mad when the bodegas stores sold out we use it anyway this was in the late 60s im 63 the best days of my life was this we hated when the boys played better but we gave them their props 52 nd and Baltimore i played at Cobbs Creek park where Will Smith shows our basketball court and that name been up their for years its shown on the show now ive been living in the suburbs of Phila left at 19 years old but i always go get my braids alot of African braiders. ALL IS TOGATHER HOW YOU LIKE THE WEATHER NOW.
This def made me happy cry. We all need to try something new to open up our inner child’s discovery and joy

Okay, so I found this video after a 40+ Double Dutch SubClub notification I received a couple of weeks ago. I called to get the particulars today, this video has me even more excited for Saturday morning. I used my break at work to do the one minute "virtual training" with the imaginary rope. 😂 Thank you Tamron, Michelle and Sean!
I know I wasnt the only one who was bouncing when Tamera was jumping. In my head now 1, 2 Shaun michelle, jumping Jack, jumping jack , jump out. CELEBRATE 😁
Wow! Fun and laughter why jumping rope. Thank you for sharing your video clip.
👏👏👏💜💜👌💐
I loved playing double dutch as a kid in the 80’s and teen in the 90’s in Philly. One of the best workouts that is so much fun you don’t feel like it’s a workout. Shout out to the Temple Owls I went to Temple also
