I have more than one of these extraordinary pieces. I also had the Flame Unit issue happen to me, but I only experienced the drop within my display(s), so no damage. (Thankfully) So I made the simple repairs as needed. I am still extremely happy with this JazzInc 66 Batmobile DX. Nice job on your video and addressing the Flame Unit Repair. I know many had this happen, and I suspect many more may if they don't take pre-emptive action.
@@tessjess1 The gloss looks great, i hope if they do stop building them, the license goes to another builder, its such a great piece. I want it for my grandson, and me ,
It's good to see you again buddy. You remember me? That car is fucking amazing . Such a nostalgic piece of Batman history right there 💯💯👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🍻🍻 congrats on getting and owning this museum piece. I remember when jazz Inc first started out on sideshow freaks back in the day. Sorry about the damage to the steering column. 😱😦 Brave man drilling into the back of the batmobile 😱😱 Great way to fix it
Had I been in his situation, I would have done the same to fix it. It’s too bad it wasn’t screwed in to begin with. I had assumed it was. Definitely something to be mindful of with regards to mine.
Sorry dude I got you confused with another Mike...I remember you customer a police shoot out Terminator years ago...good to see you still have the collectors spark...👍
Finally sat down to give my Batmobile a good look over. The flame holds nicely but I will fidget with the backing panel to make sure the glues holding properly. Thanks for the heads up. I fabricate and appreciate your diy modes (the Scissorhands neck mod was great). My dashboard came unattached, nothing some glue cant easily fix but it pressure fits well enough that I may skip the glue. Also I recieved a second steering wheel and column. The loose, secondary column was oxidized on the bolt and the semi-circle steering wheel part was broken off. The actual attached steering wheel was fine. Again, nothing a little glue cant fix. I have yet to figure out what those two extra silver pegs are for. Any idea? All in all Im very pleased with this Batmobile. Paint is spot on, including the pinstriping. Cant wait for the Batcycle.
Sounds like you had a very similar experience with the steering wheel less the unfortunate flame detachment drama..funny thing is I don't even use it !..Oh the 2 silver pins are tyre valved lol I know 🤔
Same thing happened to my flame. Just fell to the table beneath, but still did some chipping damage. Argh. Also, the Art box was destroyed during shipping with water damage and battered beyond recognition. The styrofoam did a good job at keeping the car safe, though.
Hi TJ, same thing happened to my flame but luckily I had the car sitting on the Styrofoam packaging and the flame fellowto the Styrofoam. I don't have guts to to drill into the car, think I will try Gorilla glue.
He was my friend and car club owner I got to say happy birthday to George Barris before he died and it was two days after his birthday that he died and the only batmobile that I know that he him self had a hand in what the hot wheels one
Can't buy it anymore ,sold out and I don't think Joost is making a secondary wave...cost was about $1800. US dollars including shipping ..but now ebay is your only hope..$3500.US
wow so almost 900 additional AUS dollars for shipping and import fees??? Man on top of the expense of the car? Wow that's nearly 600 USD for me!!! Sorry about that! I just received my Falcon cockpit and paid 280.00 USD in shipping. No import fees or anything! so in total I spent 1500 USD for my Cockpit which isn't so bad. I thought it would be more. But yeah these things are big being 1/6 scale and shipping is going to be the price to pay for getting their stuff!
@Bat66 man you need to realise that this is the only product and the work put into this was top of the collectors demand...I love ❤️ this car and think joost has made a beautiful George Barris reprsentation...obviously you don't have this in your possession?..
post from overseas is an absolute ripoff especially from oz and usa really bad great piece tho mate wish i could afford this i have the mattel version wich is okay thanks for sharing mate

Why such a short run by Jazz Inc? Hope they run again because this is sick.

Just saw in another comment section that the small pins are replacement valve stems for the tire rims 😅. Amazing

What on Earth would have caused the steering wheel to come loose
I think the nut wasn't secured on when they assembled the car...QC error
