  • In this video we get crafting and wrap the PAPER MATE InkJoy Gel pens in Washi Tape. You don't have to paint the pens first for this easy DIY project. This is the second episode in a series where I show you how to make cute pens for journaling, note taking, or just in general writing. As a special bonus I make a matching Tumbler.     Do you line up the seams or do they disappear?

    How long do you wait for the mod podge to dry before adding additional coats?

    Do the tumblers need to be painted and or epoxyed first? Before adding the washi tape?

      Hi Amanda, not necessarily. This particular tumbler was because I painted it with a metallic gold for another project and the epoxy for some reason did not want to settle at the top. So instead of stripping it, I decided to do a Washi wrap. You can paint first if you like to mask the stainless steel but you don't have to.
