ok, but hear me out, part 1 always was my favorite hg movie lol. I just love the heavy weight and psychological feeling it has. it's very less action packed, but it feels like a really well done transition between movies, you can the pain in every single scene. Loving your reaction to this series ❤
Omg, same. I thought I was the only one. Mockingjay part 1 is my favourite. I love the 13 bombing the dropping of the roses and Finnick's speech. I also love the district 7 rebellion scene.
During Finnick's speech, he talks about how snow would force him and other victors to be prostitutes. If they didn’t snow would kill someone they love. Remember he wins his game at 14.

People often say that Mockingjay Part 1 is boring because there's no 'action' like the other films but this film doesn't need action. It's about the politics of war and propaganda. It's not an action movie like the other three could be considered to be. It's honestly more of a political thriller and I love that. I'm probably in the minority of people who thinks that Mockingjay does work as two films because it allows for the political themes to be explored deeper and such.
I don’t think you’re in the minority- ever since the films finished, my favorite has been a tie between Catching Fire and Mockingjay pt 1. Everyone I know loved it and still does. (I’m admittedly older than most fans, so maybe my crowd just prefers the politics over the !action! scenes, heheh)
As a kid I wasn’t a fan of this movie or even of the end of the last one (even after reading the books) But now I am 27, I rewatched the movies and it strikes me how much I understand these two last movies. I cried like a baby during both…
In the books, she runs the pearl Peeta gave her across her lips, as like an anxious gesture. Before she returns and gets stuff from her house, it’s one of the only personal objects she has in 13. I love that they kept it around in the movies. Real attention to detail.
And obviously like, so adorable from a shipper perspective. It’s not the mockingjay pin or Haymitch’s spile that calms her.

It's my favorite because it's about the horrors of war that we're currently living through and people need to WAKE UP to what is happening. Because even when these came out, a lot of people wanted to live in the world of these books, and people needed a reminder that a dystopia is horrific for everyone except those at the top.

I really enjoyed pt1 , the first 2 were better but this one is pretty much just as good but in a different way , but the dam scene is definitely the best from all 4 films

These movies definitely feel different with Ukraine being attacked by Russia and Israel being attacked by Hamas right now. Such horrible things currently happening in the world that are reflected in this dystopian media. Sad and scary.
Don't feel sorry for Ukraine. Lots of evil, corrupt things (bi0labs, trafficking rings, arms stockpiles) were being cleaned up by Russia.
Pretty soon anyone who stood with Ukraine's going to be ashamed for the wickedness they blindly supported b/c the TV told them to.

I always thought that one of the reasons they don’t make political dystopian films anymore is because it’s starting to mirror our lives more and more. If we see the heroes of these movies fighting against injustice so similar to what we’re faced with, we might find hope.
