Great information being passed along and really shows how houndsmen really feel about our hounds ...my wife originally being from that area makes it so much more real in our lives
Having owned two blueticks and a plott hound i can tell you those dogs do love to track game. None of my dogs were ever trained to track or hunt snd i never used them to hunt, they just did it instinctually. They are amazing dogs, great pets.
Love this y'all!! As a houndsman and Coon Hunter all my life, I love the way this is filmed. Y'all show its all about the hounds!! I live next door to Carolina in the Blue Ridge mountains of Virginia. Its all about the hounds here too!! Take care y'all and please make more episodes!!
Thanks William Poff! We hope that one day we can get this off the ground! We want to show the world what it really means to be a Houndsmen. Tell everyone you know about it to watch this pilot. If we can get enough views maybe we can get a nod from a network!
Jim Kelly for bear hounds I’d contact Doug Temple. You can find him on Facebook. PM him. He’s usually really good to respond and has started dogs from time to time for sale. Hope this helps!
I'm the same way guys. As far back as I know my family has hound hunted!!! We hunt for raccoons but u guys know it's the same hounds! I love all of it and couldn't imagine my life without running hounds!!!
Quincy Yes it would! We’ve shopped it once before but no takers. Hopefully it will get enough likes out there to get someone’s attention. Please like and continue to share!
A friend of mine in Cumberland, RI had a pack of Walker Foxhounds. In a trial, his favorite hound was killed by a car, and not even on a well traveled road. Very sad.
Like it! We stop traffic when our dogs get in the road.

With a dog trained on alpha100 and TT15 collars, there is literally NO excuse that a hound approaches a road, much less cross it or get run over. Geofence your property, send signals to your collar trained hound to obey. The hound will never disobey when trained using this system. I use this on my pack of running walkers hunting deer, and they are much faster, covering more ground than a bear dog. They obey, stopping the chase and return when toned, or shock correction is sent. Ready for another hunt.
My family doesn’t regularly bear hunt as we’re huge deer hunters( I have a couple cousins that go up in Canada every now and then), but my cousin has a bear problem on his porch, and is letting me hunt them this winter, bear is my dream hunt. Unfortunately it will be without dogs, but it’s still a bear hunt. When I’m older I also want to train a bloodhound to trail deer for me, as my way of dog hunting
Eastern NC is some desolate area, considering the overall proximity to large areas like Raleigh, Norfolk, Wilmington. It's good to see the bear doing so well and spreading south. We are expecting a solid population around the Santee river basin in the next ten years and as far south as Francis Marion NF. There is enough interconnecting swamp and bottomland to sustain a good population and avoid the urban sprawl. Bring em on down, wish they would eat hogs.
Lived and hunted with mixed Potts and beagle hounds in Gumneck, nc , for deer and Bear lived my Dogs . Never used a tracker I just called my strike hound and she would come running and jump in the box
I love and respect hound hunting. It breaks my heart to see a small percentage of hound hunters poorly represent us all in the eyes of the non-hunting world. Renegade, trespassing, trash talking, littering, dishonest, and classless so called hound hunters cause more damage to the sport than any PETA, liberal, or treehugger.
I've never been a big fan of hunting in general, like deer huntin and things like that. But about a year ago, my cousins introduced me to coon hunting and ever since then, I've bought myself a hound and fell in love with the coon hunting
I wish I were there boys. We use to run fox and coyotes in Texas all night. To many people moving in behind every bush. We are done. Times change but I can't.
This would be nice ... I have a small youtube channel and try to show the real story of hunting with hounds.. mine is real traditional out west dryground lion hunting .. good luck with the show
Hey Jeremiah, This was just a pilot that we produced to see what kind of interest for a show like this is out there. It didn't go anywhere so we never produced another show. Let others know. Maybe someday there will be enough interest for a channel to pick it up! Thanks for watching!
@@CarolinaALLOUT It’s well done and i will. Hope somebody picks it up and/or y’all keep filming hound hunts. I wasn’t raised running dogs but it’s in my blood like y’all said, my family from East NC ran dogs for generations. I woke up one day in my 20s and just needed to run dogs, been doing it ever since. Hope y’all’s videos can help spread the love of hound hunting to the new generations, YT is certainly the place to do so. Good luck and happy hunting.
The show might take off if you included different kinds of dog hunting. Bird, coon, squirrel, rabbit, hogs deer, grouse, Lots of critters to chase with a dog, include some firsts, curs, pointers, beagles.
Hey Jarvas, unfortunately there isn’t another one. This is a pilot that we did to see if there would be an interest in it. No takers but we hope it will get enough attention in the future for someone to take notice! Thanks for watching and let everyone know about us by sharing and subscribing!
I just saw this for the first time. Pulling a gun On federal land refuge dismal swamp in va and nc is fed land very little is private except the outer edges . Dog hunting is cool. But come on cant we all get along . Suffolk va
