Love to hear beagles run, growing up my grandpa raised beagles and rabbit hunted I always wanted to go but never got the chance, he wasn't able by the time I was old enough but he did take me fishing a lot enjoyed that more than anything, he always told me stories of his hunts. Everytime I hear or see beagles I think of him, thanks just watching this took me back, hard to find people that will let you hunt their land
I've never set foot in Kentucky but I've watched just about every Kentucky Afield clip on UA-cam. Kentucky Afield is certainly the most enjoyable and informative outdoor show I've ever seen. That is due primarily to the excellent work of Tim Farmer. His enthusiasm and love for the subject is really what makes the show work. I've learned a lot about hunting and fishing from watching the show, but I'm happy to say I've also learned a lot more about Kentucky and the wonderful people who live there. Thank you Tim for all that you have done. Best of luck with Tim Farmer's Country Kitchen and all your future endeavors.
I've enjoyed Tim Farmer's "Kentucky Afield" show, and now I'm enjoying all his great cooking shows! I need to find one of your recipes on cooking racoons. They are consuming too much of my deer corn. 🤪
Upstate NY- I had a great female beagle a few years ago. Went rabbit hunting on a winter day. Got 6 rabbits in a couple hours. Dog was awesome running the rabbits. She was also chasing up pheasants.
I have never seen so many hunters pointing loaded firearms at each other as I have in this video. Especially Bud! Watch what you are doing. Let's keep it safe out there.
Two dogs once taught me Wisconsin rabbit hunting. One was pure beagle with nose to the ground. The other was a young beagle/Treeing Walker cross. He would move cross country on the rabbit by sight. Rabbit would often ditch the dogs and double back to my squirrel/ruffed grouse .22 Marlin. Easy pickens. Would never have gone rabbit hunting without those dogs coming by from a neighbor to pick me up. They would always wait awhile before going off on their own but one day I joined them. Interesting hunting.
Love these hunts love to hear them dogs run I don't hunt no more got. A bad back just keep these hunts coming miss it so bad good. Hunting to all of you.
Best rabbit dog I ever had was a red beagle male . No black on him at all. He was also great on ring necks I could tell if he was trailing a ring neck by his bark. I was young then and could stay with him on ring necks. It was great fun to watch him jump on top of cover trying to get 1 in the air. On rabbits he would bring it around if it didn't hold up first. After a couple of rabbits holed up I had to be careful because he would try to dig them out . Sometimes he would dig the whole way out of sight. My grandfather said every hunter was only going to get 1 truly great dog. I cried for hours when I had to put him down at 15 years old.
I remember the first time my dog grabbed a rabbit, when he got off it it was still twitching a little bit, I would have put it out with my spear but I was way too excited to think about that, it died completely only a couple seconds later so it was humane enough. Don’t worry I’ve moved on from wooden spears, got more modern equipment now.
That not a Dumb question , infact it has happen a Novice Hunter shot a dog in mistake while shooting at rabbit in brush ...it all depends at what speed your beagles are ... Some pack beagles are real fast .. right up on rabbit ... Matter of time through out day , pack will get tired , start slowing down you'll get some shots at few rabbits .... These dogs in video were Slow to Medium speed... That typical dog to use on rabbits is medium speed .. years ago I had buddy and his father ran a real fast pack beagles , we could not get shot off at any rabbits until about 3 or 4 hour later dogs tired down a little got a little slower we were able kill a few rabbits ... I myself always ran Medium speed dogs in a pack, just like in this video , dogs are usually a good 50 yards behind rabbit ..I'm cautions at who I let hunt and shoot over my dogs ...if new person I have them stand by me , when rabbit comes by , they do not shoot until I say "OK"! .. for safety reasons
I wish my dogs were good lol my season of the 2016-2017 starts tomorrow and my best dog is fat and 8 years old so my season may not be the best this year
Well yea because every animal deserves to be treated right rabbits and other animals shouldn’t suffer but since it’s not a dog no one says anything, animal cruelty only applies to dogs in this society and no other animal, the hypocricy
I don't ever knock other folks hunting style but damn I'm glad dogs are illegal to take on a hunt here in Texas. I'd be nervous as hell shooting at rabbits or other game on the ground with my dog chasing behind it. Seems like a 50/50 shot at nailing your prey or your best friend.
If you're dogs are pushing the rabbit hard they're still a couple hundred feet behind at least. I know of more instances of hunters shooting each other than shooting dogs.
With good dogs like taking candy from a baby.i dont like the vid that show the hunters chasing after their dogs just wait when they hit and ole bunny will come around if not shoot the dog.
I'm from Georgia but love watch the KYAField Good enjoyable show.
Me too
Great video Thank you for sharing
Wow! Those were some big bunnies you guys took down. Always nice to see dogs doing what they were bred to do.
Amen

Ive been on quite a few rabbit hunts and never shot a single rabbit. For me its just about seeing my dogs so happy doing something they truly love.

Last summer, my mixed basset/beagle dog brought back one rabbit, three squirrels, and another small unidentified small animal.

Well trained dogs are beautiful to watch.
Thanks for a spectacular video! I love to rabbit hunt, with or without dogs. It's an exciting sport. Again, thanks !
how come there's just a bunch of orange clothes floating around
Apollo The Canadian Husky When you go hunting, you wear bright colors so other hunters from afar won’t mistake you for an animal.

Very nice guys. My pup 20 months old just won the Canadian Nationals. Good times for sure

Al off all good hunting dogs, beagles are definitely the cutest. And definitely, the uncontested most loudest
Beagles are great dogs

They got hunting in their lineage or is it learned?
It's in their DNA, loved my two pups.
I HAVE ONE OF THE BEST BEAGELS IN NORTH AMERICA
Great video, great background music, great dogs; but what's this with the PLASTIC game bag?
Love the beagles fun times. I rabbit hunt Spotsylvania Va. Nice video.
Oh man, that makes me homesick.
I miss my Beagles. I actually prefer hunting with just one dog.
You have to play Appalachian mountain music when the hounds go hunting for rabbit
Great video and I love beagles
I am a young boy and I love to squirrel hunt so I was wondering if you can do one more squirrel hunting video
you still young?
Nice video and the intro is awesome.

How do you make sure you don’t shoot your dog do they stay back or are they running right behind the rabbit?
Don't aim at the dog
Tell me the prices of pointer
Fast dogs looked like some satusumas and some Ranger Dan blood
Dumb question.. how do they avoid shooting a dog?
Lacy Jinks true

Jabshier1980 what you said is true but it is very rare to get a pack that fast
Jabshier1980 and normally the fast ones aren't very good dogs
DONT shoot on the jump Dog close then. Wait til he has turned back.
My beagle doesn’t howl?
Ok
Cachorros 🐕 top
Hi. I’m interested in buying about 3/4 of the dogs ,
Dogs win !!!!!
With good dogs it like taking candy from a baby.

I love rabbit hunting I have 6 beagles
Nice dogs like athelit lose weight very fast running all day. But can't feed to much because it can twist they stomach and kill them
This show is not going to be the same without tim
I wish my dogs were good lol my season of the 2016-2017 starts tomorrow and my best dog is fat and 8 years old so my season may not be the best this year
Using guns to hunt rabbits that run centimeters ahead of your dogs doesn't seem too safe ....
Well I mean you always have to make sure your dog is clear but they mostly know
Indiana
Boy, someone on Facebook said this was abuse 😂😂
🤣
Well yea because every animal deserves to be treated right rabbits and other animals shouldn’t suffer but since it’s not a dog no one says anything, animal cruelty only applies to dogs in this society and no other animal, the hypocricy

If you're dogs are pushing the rabbit hard they're still a couple hundred feet behind at least. I know of more instances of hunters shooting each other than shooting dogs.
Learn to shoot and you'll never fear that prob
Pretty easy to tell the difference between a rabbit and a dog...
more hunting less talking
Lol Beagles are so noisy
