    How to Use a Sinus rinse| NeilMed Sinus Rinse Tutorial
    Have you ever done a nasal rinse before? It's easy! In this video, I will demo how to do a nasal irrigation with the NeilMed sinus rinse. If you suffer from chronic sinusitis, chronic sinus infections, or maybe just need allergy relief, this is the video for you! I prefer using the NeilMed sinus rinse over a traditional Neti pot because it was recommended by my doctor, but many people for centuries have been using the yoga neti pot. This updated version is easier and has less risk of getting water in your ears. Still have questions/comments about how to do a sinus rinse? Leave a comment below! I would love to connect. 🤓

    Thank you! I just bought the NeilMed Sinus Rinse today due to a doctor's recommendation. I watched five other UA-cam videos and still couldn't get the liquid to come out the other nostril. Your video helped a lot because it showed how much pressure you were putting on to the bottle when you were squeezing, and you also showed how much of the bottle you actually used. I finally got it to work. Thank you!

    • @sakinahmohamad1860
      @sakinahmohamad1860 4 місяці тому +5

      I would advise my patients to make it luke-warm. My kids also find it more comfortable using the luke-warm ones. For a 240ml NeilMed bottle, place about 180-190ml room temperature clean water then add about 60ml hot water (I use Coway water dispenser, u can use any water dispenser or boil the water manually). Then shake the bottle, test if it is luke-warm or still too hot with the back of ur hand (got excess about 10ml solution just now). Like testing baby’s formula milk.. Then, add the salt sachet.. hope it’s helpful!

    Can you reused the water left on the bottle?

  • @MTMabowels
    @MTMabowels 6 місяців тому +4

    Does anybody know the answers to the following questions? 🤔
    1) The best way to dry the inside of the bottle after use?
    After cleaning the bottle, no matter how long I leave it, the residual water drops never evaporate so the bottle never dries inside.
    2) Why one has to throw the entire kit away after three months?
    Right now, three days after first use, it seems so wasteful. My wife is having to use this device following surgery so she needs to sterilise the kit in the microwave before use.

    • @user-mn8dw6lc5x
      @user-mn8dw6lc5x 5 місяців тому

      1.) I turn it upside down on the drying rack. 2.) It can be recycled! The reason is to prevent bacteria build up.

    • @tinman9093
      @tinman9093 5 місяців тому +2

      I put my bottle upside does in a bottle with a larger opening so it sits in there and drains out. I think the reason for replacing the bottle is so no harmful bacteria; etc. begins to grow inside the bottle and eventually will get into the sinus.

      I did not read the instructions clearly, so I did not air dry the bottle, instead I poured boiling water into the bottle and left it there for about 30 seconds, I am not sure if that is enough to kill the germs inside though.

    • @AnnSwansonWellness
      @AnnSwansonWellness  3 місяці тому +2

      You could be clogged up. Or you could be not waiting long enough... especially if you have mucus, it might take a few seconds. If you are too clogged up, you might need to do a sinus massage or take a decongestant then try again the next day.Try this: ua-cam.com/video/xlxOhrfVN_A/v-deo.htmlsi=FjZvrhixNC_-PPUH

      @@Imran-Lalani you tried again and it didn't work? If you were too clogged up, it will often work a few days later. If you are worried about it, I would see your doc or a ENT who can look at your airway to check you out. Always good to go to a professional!

      If you get clean water such as distilled or reverse osmosis you'll be safe just keep your hugs clean if you have a place to buy it in bulk like the water sheds where you fill up at. It's how I do it but also one thing I don't see many people talking about when mixing your solution is adding hydrogen peroxide. It kills bad bacteria and would also be an added protection against any worries of amoebe. It also helps kill bad bacteria in your sinuses which is why I started adding it to my mix. I got a bad sinus infection and the standard salt mix wasn't cutting it. I'm making a lot of progress doing twice daily rinses with the HP mixed in with my standard saline mix.

      @@joshpod007 yes, I know. I just like to warm it up because it’s easier to handle it passing through my nasal cavities when it’s warm and it’s more comfortable that way. Hi, Ann. Thank you for your kind reply. If I didn't make myself clear, I've got a big crush on you. Please forgive me for being so blunt.
      I only found your channel because I'd never used one of these before, and didn't have the patience to read the tiny print instructions, so I looked for a video on UA-cam found you. I want to thank you for showing me how to do this right, btw. So thank you!
      My new ENT doctor I went see recently recommended I try using this product, as my Eustachian tubes in my ears have been getting stuck lately.
      I'm having an in office procedure/operation done to fix this on Monday Jan 15th. I'm eager to have it over with so I can hear well again. I can't do my work right as a film editor if I can't hear the audio. (I recently re-cut an old James bond film if you'd like to see my work I have clips from this work on my channel and a way to watch the film online in the comments section below them.)
      I blew my nose two weeks ago and haven't been able to gear right from my right ear ever since. I've had this problem ever since I was a little boy, but it always popped back eventually after a day or so before.
      Anyway, I just wanted to share this with you and thank you for showing me how to do this right. And you really are stunningly beautiful woman. Clearly, any man would be extremely blessed to have you by his side.
      I live In Los Angeles, where I'm working making a name for myself as an indie filmmaker. I was just thinking that if you're in LA too, (or somewhere nearby) maybe we could meet for coffee or have lunch and get better acquainted.
      That is, if you'd be open to it. If not, no worries, and no pressure. And if you're already with someone else, then I would never wish to interfere in a happy, committed relationship. Personally, I consider myself blessed just to have had you teach me about this nasal rinse anyway, and I sincerely wish you well no matter what.
      Although, I'm really hoping you are single (I didn't see a ring on your finger anyway) and nearby, and that the idea of getting to know me, sounds as good to you as it does to me. Frankly, I don't date to date. I'm out to court you for marriage. I know that word is very old fashioned, but then, so am I.
      I was born on the cusp of Pisces and Aquarius, - yet on the Pisces side of it - and my Piscean intuition tells me we would bring great joy to one another's lives. I have a feeling you may be a Cancer sun sign. Am I right? Or maybe Capricorn, if not Cancer. Do you know your rising sign? I have Leo as my rising sign. Are you into astrology at all?
      I have so much I'd like to ask you. Anyway, I must apologize for the length of this comment. I'm a writer and you clearly inspire me. I'd greatly appreciate having such a lovely muse such as yous in my life. I'm just saying...
      You can get in touch with me if you like. My email is listed on my details here. And, If you pray and have a relationship with our Heavenly Father as I do, I'd greatly appreciate it if you'd please say a prayer for me that all will go well with my sinus operation this Monday. Thanks.
      Thank you also for all goodness you are consciously putting out into the world with your videos and likely in a bazillion other ways too. You are clearly a wonderful blessing to our world, and I would be very honored to be able to call you my friend, if nothing else.
      Hope to talk with you soon. Blessings to you and yours. Be well, beautiful soul.
