That supercharged, roided up version of Satanic Rites was absolutely legendary. That shit should be properly recorded, mastered and sold. PERTURBATOR, TAKE MY MONEY!
I remember Deadsy bringing this sound back, and then when Drive came out, the genre exploded. I can't think of any other bands then Deadsy for the synth revival. Felix the Housecat's Ready 2 wear was a catchy one too.
@@Woodzal Prague. It was more like a metal gig than electronic music. But than again I seen him last year in Poland and the crowd was totally different.
@@Baen666 That's sick. I've seen him in Scotland 2 years ago and seeing here again in a month. Last time nobody moshed so I feel I will need to initiate and rock the boat a bit this time ;) Kent said in one of the interviews that at his perfomances he prefers moshing over dancing crowds \m/
So I saw Pertu live yesterday and it was about as mindblowing as this concert. But what I can't tell is - are these shows completely pre-recorded (except drums), or is he doing a live set? Or is it a mix of the two - ie. he's not doing _everything_ live (because there's too many simultaenous tracks) but he 'builds' the track live from pre-recorded samples? Cause they sound different than the studio versions, but the samples don't quite sound like they're being played live either.
@@cyberspetsnaz cool, that's what I thought but I wasn't sure, because at times he doesn't seem to be touching his synth/mixer at all (or he puts one/both hands in the air)
@@Israelpwn You can send Midi Notes to the synthesizer.so you have the analogue sound of this thing and can form the sound how you want. I don't know how he is doing it but I would use ableton for samples and midi notation.
most of it is prerecorded. Drums are live (on an e-kit, not a accoustic drums with triggers) and some synth are live. But the whole mix/set is pre-recorded and played like a playback, where they play on it. explaining why he as often hands in the air. But, just to put it in context, it's one of the most "live" EDM/SynthWave band, with Carpenter Brut (which even use live guitars and real drums)

Softy yeah I need to go to one. Been to one concert alone, was a little uncomfortable but just have to power through. Little uncomfortable before the show when everybody is with friends or a girlfriend and you’re just on your phone 😂

@@MemoryDealerr Great musican but he doesn't make the best decisions when live, never bothers to play anything from the "I am the night" album or any of the other past albums that are "old"
I just don't get Europe; I put this (and Carpenter Brut) up against Filmmaker, for example, or even VR Sex and this just comes up short. There's an 'off' quality lacking here, I think. Whatever, it's down to taste in the end anyway, so fuck me if I'm not moved by it.
Dude is just a God at this point.
Pretty much.
