I found a couple that started a channel about the l322. I suggested they check out your channel for all of the resources that you’ve assembled. And of course for your quick wit and rugged good looks as well. 😀
Great work Ben and in that heat!!! Did mine as well thanks to Sam!! Unfortunately someone has glued in one of the puddle lights!! so trying to work out best way to remove without damage mirror... Keep them coming 👍 got new centre caps and rear high level brake being done in a few weeks 👍
Good video Ben. Strange that you had to trim your boot light connectors - guessing they're slightly different on mine. I've left the rest of my interior lighting standard as I reckon really bright white LEDs would be too harsh for the main cabin.
Hi Ben, I went down this route too after Sam's video and yes they are bloody brilliant! Only trouble was that as mine's a 2006 m y it has different bulb retaining fittings for the H7 halogen bulbs and I had a hell of a lot of trouble to alter the stainless steel clip that holds the bulb. Having to cut part of the centre out of it to get the led bulb in place. I now can't go back to normal H7's as I've destroyed the fittings. Mine do flash when the ignition is turned on and a warning comes up on the message centre of "Check headlight". I hope that this won't affect my MOT test as I can't put the originals back without finding the bulb holders from a scrapper. I also went one further like Sam and fitted the Osram light bar into the grille. I have that on a switched relay unlike Sam's set up so that I can turn it off when I don't want to blind anyone....... lol
Thanks for your reply. Mine is a 2008 and same problem. I modified the ridiculously cheap clips to fit the Bevinsee bulb but it doesn’t snap in as snug as stock. I also have the check headlight message. This should’ve been an easy project. My fault for listening to youtubers claim they fit older models. I’ll report back if i find a workaround.
On my ‘11 RR the headlight switch has 4 positions: Off, Day Time Running, On and Auto. During the day, I like using the Day Time Running setting. I’m curious with these new lights you installed, what they look like in that position.
Don’t know, my 2010 has just three settings, side lights, headlights and auto. Daytime running lights can be activated with the Gap iid tool, so they would come on when the car was running and the headlights switched to off.
The Bevinsee lamps won't fit the earlier headlamp units without modifying the twist and lock main beam H7 lamp holder it's a pain to do but I managed it . It just took a couple of hours to get done. Also you will find it much much easier to remove the grill(. 3 screws) and remove each headlamp unit ( also 3 screws for each) just unplug the unit and take them out to work on. You don't have to alter the lamp unit itself, just the H7 bulb holder there is a stainless steel spring that twists and locks between two screws that you have to open up and fit to the Bevinsee bulb unit. It don't take a lot of imagination to do it, just patience lol
@@Bensgarage Well... My expectations were low. But, just arrived and fitted. Only visual difference is that the back of the connector looks like it has some sealant there. And they work :) I did read somewhere that the electronics on the 2007/2008 are slightly different, so potentially the resistor values etc. Either way, glad theyre finally both working correctly.
got the boot lights (had them for ages - since seeing Sam's video lol) but currently battling with the passenger side cam cover replacement. How much fkn stuff do you need to remove before removing the bit you need to replace!!! and it's hot here in Norfolk as well. Well done Ben - you keep me motivated
Should have done Neil - are you sure you ordered H7? They have H1 and H4 on the same listing and it'd be easy to order the wrong ones. At least they refunded though!
@@SamsMotors Hi Sam, yes H7, ( I just checked again) . the bulbs will not align into the rear of the lens as they rear of the bulb hits the rear of the headlight housing. Do you have the adaptive cornering lights fitted on yours? Yes custoemr service was very good on the refund.
@@neilwhite8131 Mine fitted OK. 2011 4.4 tdv8 Vogue se .I don’t have the cornering lights. Just followed Sams video. I got wiring wrong but as Ben found out just swapped them over.
@@robholland6460 I finally managed to get them in this morning, Mine had an o ring on them between the location ring and the bulb itself, So I slipped this back to give a bit more room to fit the bulb and then sliped the O ring back in place to stop the bulb flopping about. As mine although V45 H7 bulbs look different to the ones shown in Sams video. Looking forward to trying them in the dark now. Thanks
I'm probably the one weirdo that doesn't like the boot ones, as I much prefer the warmer look and I doubt my dog would be impressed with the brightness either. I like the exterior lights, but how comes you didn't do the reversing lights as they really are poor. Well done though for doing it in this weather, that can't have been fun.
To be honest, we very rarely use the car in low light so the camera is good enough for me. I like the extra light in the boot, our dogs lord it up on the back seat.
Can’t get the Range Rover in the garage, plus the chicken house is in there being built. And to be honest, with the tin roof it’s like an oven in there.
hi there Ben cool video , its a good mod ,when i did mine i couldn't believe how much brighter and just as important cooler running they were, the old incandescent bulbs ran bloody hot, might be one less drain on the car too ! keep the vids coming and stay safe,Paul. next week on Ben's garage.. Ben shows us how to save money on our diesel bills.....buy a panda!! any up coming panda vids?
These have made a huge difference, a well worth while upgrade.

Not sure about the latter, but thanks.
Done them too. I blame Sam too 😂😂

Thanks mate just found every things I need definitely door the up grade
I’ve also done all interior ones by knees, in roof, visors, door bottoms etc. Makes a huge difference.
Wot kit did u buy to do your up grade

I thought the same about the interior lights, they are amazingly bright and for me would be too much.
With my cream interior the full LED upgrade has made a huge difference and brought it up to date. Personal preference etc 😎👍👍
@@robholland6460 totally agree it being personal preference, just might be a bit bright for my eyes and I don’t think the Hobbit would go much on it.
Hi Sam where did u get the kit from
@@robertcolliver1985 Ben's put links in the video description, they're same place I got mine 👍

So wot comes in the kit headlight main beam
Puddle lights
And rear taillight and boot light. ?
I bought them all separately, but from the same place, it wasn't a kit. There should be three links in the description.
Hi great video Wots the kit u put in as definitely want to do the up grade many thanks Rob
All parts used are listed in the description with links to where I got them.
Hi I am not good with technology where are the links found sorry to be a pain
@@robertcolliver1985 in the description box below the video. link will take you straight to the website where I got them.
Love your video's! Doesn't the resistor get very hot?
No idea, there is a cooling fan in the back of the bulb. But to be honest we very rarely use the car at night, so they don’t do a lot of work.
Hi Ben, my vogue has the D1 hid headlamps, would these work or will it be a different fitting?
If your main beam headlights are H7 then they will fit.
I take it fits earlier models of l322 as well mine is 2005 ?

Sounds like yuo may need to do the seatbelt warning bong hack Ben!
I've done it in another video. 👍
Also did the mirror and boot upgrade, thinking of doing the main beam next
Makes a huge difference, they are super bright.
Done my TDV8 as well! I’m in France at the moment, Bossavy, 24270 how far away are you? Ian
You are just under an hour away from us.

Which year RR is this? I bought ther same mirror lights for my 2007 L322 and they just flash once quickly/dont work :/

Hit 47degC here in the sun yesterday, it’s now got too hot to do anything outside except sun bath and drink beer.
I followed Sams link for the headlights and they did not fit on my 2011 TDV8, fair play to Bevinsee they refunded the money.
