Compliment's on your run. I'm 62 and have played every Zelda game to the end. Haven't the talent or reflexes of you young speedrunners but love to watch you play.
@@francescoversienti2623 I'm not 62, but I'm old enough to have played through each and every Zelda game when they were new, except I skipped the CD-i games for obvious reasons. My favorites are A Link to the Past, Link's Awakening, Ocarina of Time, The Wind Waker, The Minish Cap, and Breath of the Wild. If I can only pick one it'd be A Link to the Past or Breath of the Wild.
I love this run because it’s not as down-to-science as any%. It’s like watching him actually play the game semi-normally and think on the fly. Very fun to watch a decorated speedrunner play like this.
7:54 to 8:02 is one of the most impressive shots of Zelda I’ve ever seen. The No look shot and also just 4 headshots in a row without think is another level of mastery of the game
Thank you SO MUCH for this upload!! I was struggling to complete this full trial in master mode, but your skills and methods here helped me pull it off! My run was in no way speedy though 🙈 props to you for being a pro at this 👏🏼
Holy crap…I shouldn’t be surprised because I’ve watched so many of P5’s various WRs and know what he’s capable of but I mean come on…some of these rooms are incredible. GG
YOU. DID. IT. You Took Down those Silver Lizard Fools. Always enjoy seeing the Fools Succumb to Their Doom. After Somebody OWN Them. Alright with that Out of the Way. I WANTED to Thank You for the Video. Giving The Video to the Audience, to us. Pretty Good Skills Throughout the Run.
Good game. I am impressed with your ability to menu so fast on the fly. Nice work. You should throw in a 100% of that run. I found it to be a lot of fun.
That's really impressive. I spend more time than this entire video on a single one of the trials. Hell I think I may have spent a half hour just bombing the lizals on beginner stage 10
TotS master mode is the hardest thing I've ever done in a Zelda game. I couldn't imagine doing it in under 3 hours though. Great run though. Lots of fun to watch the strats
Trial of the Sword was one of my favorite parts of BoTW! Just when you get comfortable with all your items, weapons, and armor, everything is taken away and your skills are really put to the test! I wish something similar was added to ToTK!
It's so frustrating. In normal mode, I completed the middle trial first try, and final on second try, and a lot of it seems unchanged in Master Mode - like the skeletons, elemental enemies, and guardians (I think). And upgraded Lynels don't matter when you have ancient arrows. But in Master Mode beginning trials, fighting the Lizalfos in 8 & 10 is perhaps the most agonising experience in this game for me. I'm worried I might be incapable of finishing it because of a few badly designed floors in the "easy" trial. 😔
I still haven't beat the Trial of the Sword in my game, haven't tried in a few months but I was hoping i'd find some tricks from this video And the only level I had seen before that I wasn't confident in beating was the level with the boat And he windbombs through it I 'can' windbomb but I am so bad at it that I think I'll probably never end up beating the Trial of the Sword
Yeah floor 10 is brutal. The sneakstrike chaining here does take some practice so that they don't notice you or fall in the water but it's the most efficient way to do it. Another good strat is to use the lightning rod to shock them, switch to a different weapon to deal some damage (without doing the finisher so that it doesn't launch them) and then switch back to the lightning rod to shock them again.
@@bluenation2119 I think the distance or angle you do the sneakstrike from matters. I haven't personally had the first lizalfos fall in the water doing the sneakstrike from as far as possible as seen in my attempt. You could also do the fire arrow strat on the first lizalfos as well as the second if you really wanted to so that it turns around (just make sure you don't run at all to not alert the other lizalfos).
This was my champion's ballad playthrough that I did recently so it's really far from 100%. I went and duped hearts and stamina so that I could speedrun TotS.
It's been around for a long time (not sure when it was discovered but probably near launch) and all you have to do is crouch (or switch which weapon or shield you have equipped) after parrying to cancel the slowmo.
This is TotS restricted which isn't glitchless because we do windbombs at the end of each trial, but requires runners to complete each floor consecutively so that it's still focused on the combat. I don't think I'll run unrestricted because I don't think it's as interesting or fun.
I duplicated my hearts and stamina using a glitch called essence duping because I didn't want to have to complete all the shrines in my master mode file. I could have had max for both but I got lazy.
It's restricted but not glitchless. Glitches to skip floors are not allowed but I'm allowed to use glitches if it makes clearing floors easier/faster (we only use a couple of windbombs).

Cheers! Love that it's intergenerational. I have a little niece who's picking up WW and BOTW for the first time 🙂
Amazing you play at your age. Are you looking for grandkids? I could use an extra grandpa.

does the flamebreaker armor make link slower when he runs or climbs?
No, armor doesn't change his run or climb speed unless it's due to a set bonus/attribute (like the climbing gear).
