Also every single thing you said negative about the cheetah 2 is spot on like floating the deck… it drives me nuts how easily it’ll go into lock out mode and also how the frame gets into the way of the deck pedal…and like you said it’s a very compact platform….I will say that I have the 38.5 Kawasaki fuel injected engine on mine and the throttle lever is easy like the hustler in ur video super easy to adjust….the cut quality is great tho…
@@hairycods2273 I’ve also found that it’s worse on going into the lock position if you hit a bump going fast. I tested a Scag turf tiger last year and didn’t see any of these issues. That Kawasaki motor is a beast. I would like to run it against the Kohler motor on this one as the Kohler is a much cheaper option. Just to see how performance compares as the Kohler is 38 hp. So far it hasn’t bogged in anything.
If ya raise the seat on the cheetah 2 you will see the shock down below and at the bottom of that shock there is a adjustable collar on that shock and you can spin it with a spanner wrench to soften or stiffen the ride….my cheetah two came set in the middle and once I made the adjustment to the softest setting it actually rides much better now…before i found it my cheetah rode horrible… great video!
@@americandream_89 Awesome!!!..Only reason I stumble onto it was because I wasn’t happy at all with the ride of my cheetah it had no cushion at all so I started brain storming how to make the ride acceptable and stumble onto that collar….I was very excited once I found that adjustable collar…It made a huge difference in the ride quality and I doubt most cheetah owners or even dealers know it’s adjustable and hope it works out for ya!!! Great short video!
I have used the Wright ZXT 61” for two years now (370 hrs). Previously I ran several Hustler Super Z mowers (60” with flex forks) for seven years. The Super Z is longer and may have the better ride. Ed Wright has a good UA-cam video on how to adjust the Wright seat and Long Travel.
@@larryweaver9784 was the hustler you ran a hyperdrive or regular super z? I think the wright is possibly better than the hyperdrive on ride. The hyperdrive has 26” rear tires and the regular super z has 24” I know the wright riders much better than the regular super z.
The hyperdrive is a 66 inch deck which in turn gives it a longer wheelbase. If you had a 72 inch cheetah it would have a much longer wheelbase and in turn make for a better ride. Also the stiff throttle lever on the cheetah directly correlates to the kohler engine on the blackout edition. If it had a 38.5 fuel injected kawasaki the throttle lever isn't flat it has a ball and is smooth as silk. Also on the cheetah you need to move the deck foot pedal to the rear most hole for more comfort. The reason it has 3 holes is because scag uses the same mounting bracket on tiger cat and turf tiger. The suspension floor platform is in the way but moving the pedal back makes a huge difference. Also the cheetah doesn't need a rubber mat in floor because your feet are on the suspension platform.
Great review as always! Beautiful place you have there too!
@@coreyknochel7766 thanks buddy! I appreciate the kind words
2024 scag cheetah and newer should have suspension seat along with the platform so they would be even more comfortable
@@michaelbychkov8030 in 24 some got it and some didn’t. I’ve heard it helps.

I just looked at that, thanks for the tip. Mine is in the middle. I’m going to try one notch softer before dropping all the way.
